no worries mate yep Scottys actuator upgrade is a 1bar actuator with and adjustable arm will bolt strait into the turbo with the 5mm bracket he does. If your turbo is still running sweet and it's just the diaphragm in the actuator is gone that's all you should need! Scott will sort you out mate [emoji106] hope you get it all sort at a decent price would be a shame for absorber one to be sold off for bits there no that old and a great car!Ha, my bro has been an apprentice for 2 months I think. I more meant I have access to a workshop and he can help me rip parts out etc. He didn't just say "an external wastegate" but I'm not mech minded so cut it down.
I've no idea what the wastegate actuator upgrade from Scotty is but I sent him a PM - if it fixes the issue and it's less than upgrading the turbo then it's a done deal. My car has 210,000km on it now so I'm surprised the entire Turbo is still alive but it is.
Thanks to both of you for the info

Hit up Scotty for a wastegate actuator upgrade! Install it and Problem fixed!
You would have little to no room for an external gate and if you did and are still running the stock internally gated turbo what's going to control that?
-
Keep us posted if you sort it out mate I tried a while back and it wouldn't work only turned it off and on via the controls . I believe you need some kind of adapter or something in line with it.
-
I'd say hit up Chris Rodgers mate he should be able to help you out!

can you post a link to the tutorial mate?Installed a Transgo kit in my M35 today.
Bit of a messy job but found a good tutorial and took my time and got it done.
See how this goes with the paddle shifters.

josh how much did they charge you for labour on all the bushing mate? Looking at getting all mine done to. Did you run with OEM ones or superpro or the like? Will feel amazing to drive now mate I bet.So not a cheap week for my stagea but damn it's good to drive now.
Got bad fuel so took it into work to have the mechanics drain it and also do a service cause I was feeling lazy.
A week later and many many $$$$ later the car has had the following done, some needed some preventative.
Found and fixed a small boost leak
2 front wheel bearings
Steering rack rebuild
New control arm bushes
New diff bushes
New sub frame bushes
Spark plugs
New compression rod bushes
Also found a faulty cool pack.
Plus a few other bits.
Now it is all done and wheel aligned just in time for double demerit points so it has been parked away for the weekend haha.

I'd say it's need the ECU to re learn to comps date for the new intake. But an idle reset and throttle relearn would help to.

Nathan, if it is boost cut I would expect the MIL to light up. I wonder if the AFM was clamped correctly... As I said I have no idea how they tuned the HDI mate.
thank you gents I blocked off the map sensor this morning drove it hard to work to see if any boost cut... Seems to have done the trick. You can just block stock boost sensor, then you never get 21psi boost cut.
See attached pic, No.1 is boost sensor
I wasn't getting a mil light when it was happening but seems good now I'll test over the coming days and see how it goes.
I wasn't getting any cut in the dyno or for a few weeks after the tune, just came on all of a sudden. The ECU does learn at a fast rate so not sure why or how it happened.
Thanks for everyone's help with this gents [emoji106][emoji4]

I have a ebc and gauge reading 19psi max boost. I deleted the stock boost solenoid a year ago. How can you tell if it's boost or fuel cut by blocking the solenoid?
-
Seemed to have developed a boost or fuel cut on hard acceleration in 2nd gear and sometimes 3rd. Not sure if what has happened but feel like the engine fuel and boost all cut for a second so I let off the gas for a sec and bang all good again. Any one with thoughts on what it could be boost cut, fuel cut ? Running 19psi on max rom tuned with Walbro pump 3" turbo back and intake.
Maxing injectors maybe?
-
Huh?
-
oil return line maybe?Religious oil and filter change.. found an oil leak somewhere in the turbo vicinity below rocker cover but above boots.. *sigh*

For na displacement if key! So 3.5 if you where thinking of changing to but why would you Alan your vq25det is a stronger motor

I was referring to the rotor not being bolted down by the lug nuts. As wobbling the rotor with out the nuts on its not attached to the hub to see if there is any bearing movement.Disk is not held on by that nut only hub

tuned on pump98 with stock injectors! Mate I'm runing 16-19 psi so don't know where you got this 30psi minimum from? Mine is my daily to and with the tune it's been much for fuel efficient and better to drive. The intense billet RS has a upgraded 1bar actuator but with a ebc or mbc you set the boost to your desired level dude.152kw on stock ecu and injectors. boost cut at 14psi lol. I've looked at the intense Rs, problem is they can't run anything less then 30psi, Car is my daily, no local E85 pumps.
Hypergear's got a totally different rep in other crowds. They are working another M35.

Stagea nm35 servicing and parts Brisbane?
in Wagoneers
Posted
Afternoon gents... Been a long time since been on here or posted with my recent move up to brizzy and hectic amount of work.
Just after a quick list of recommended service centres for our nm35 models been calling a few mobs but either they have never heard of the Moodle or don't want to touch them.
Any help would be appreciated as normally I would do the work myself but have no garage at the moment to work on it.
