  1. Old thread! Sorry boys been a while since I have been in the threads. For those wanting to know on results which may help them on their build etc etc Car made 550Kw on e85 @ 21psi on A Holset Turbo. Specs; 26Head (cams stated previously) Nitto I Beam & JE Pistons ID2000s with e85
  2. Has anyone here run a EFR 9174 or 9180 1.05Ar on a RB30 or Stroker?? Looking at running a Borgy on a 26/3.4. But cannot decide .. Looking to see what would work best in a drift car

  6. ok I've got some 260 10.25 inlet and 270 10.8mm ex, talked to a few tuners who suggested that duration. Also Ive got JE pistons so i think they only come in 8.2:1 or 9.1? Too late anyhow they've been ordered Will post results when all together

  9. Hi guys I need your help. I'm in the middle of my build and wanting to know if anyone has used Tomei procam 270 with 10.8mm lift in/ex on their rb26/30 build? It's the full mac daddy build and going into my pro drift car. Bottom end is JE pistons 8.2:1, nitto I beam rods, Ross balancer, tomei pump etc etc. I need to know if these cams will be beneficial for drifting where I am chasing mid to top end power (on off throttle a lot) also need to know if they mite be to laggy? I think you can also get 260duration cams with the same lift?.any better?? Thanks in advance!

Don't know what planet someone of you guys are on. 1st you can't learn to drift of youtube, tsuchiya is a legend no disrepect but everyone is different 2nd I disagree hydrau feels like shit i've been using it for 3 years! If need be depending on your car you could get aftermarket rear hubs which allow you to run a dual caliper setup/totally independent setups if your fussed about "that feel". btw i wouldn't use a the foot brake and hydrau handbrake at the same time to tighten my line, that's just weird.. i use foot brake to slow down when in a slide
  11. As in there is a reason why everyone uses them. What maintenance can you think of besides changing brake pads? Also don't brake pads last longer than drumpads??
  12. who foot brakes and handbrakes at the same time?? wank factor?? how, if your serious about drifting go for hydraulic everyone uses them because there is nomaintenance required you'll never loose that feel Don't listen to street drifters..

  15. Cut&welded front knuckles, psm s13 front lower arms, hardrace tie rod ends, rack moved 27mm forward swaybar cut/welded to suit lower arm mounts R33 rear subfram solid mounted to chassis, psm rear hubs, hard race suspension components Tein super street coil overs

  17. Sup lads, Names Gargan and I'm from New Zealand !! I spent last year competing in D1nz Pro Am series and whilst writing my car off and fixing it again I learnt a lot new driving skills and car knowledge! So.. now its time for the car to get a Birthday. Specs on the car so far; Standard rb30 bottom end with acl bearings etc, rb25 series 2 head with kelford 272cams and heavy springs, holset hx40 turbo and Id 725 injectors on Link G4. this setup made a healthy and fun 364kw atw. But.. I need reliability as I had to rebuild my stock bottom end twice last season due to factory cast pistons shitting bricks while i was happy as larry on the limiter the new set up ; CP 8.2:1 Pistons Nitto I Beam Rods with special nitto bolta ($500nzd extra!) Acl Race Bearings throughout Steel headgasket (will find out what thickness) 9L rips tyle sump Tomei Oil pump Ross Metal Jacket Balancer My previous Rb25head with 272 Cams (trying to find a 26head but it's a mission!) Arp Head studs Everything will be balanced as a rotating assembly, honed to suit. I'll try keep this thread up-to-date as possible Cheers
  18. That's exactly the same spec's as my motor Accept mine has a standard bottom end & made 380kw at 17psi on 98octane. keep in mind i had 3 broken ring lands at the time so loosing compression in those cylinders. you should be able to crack way over 400kw easily.
  19. Hey dude, Just get any hydraulic hand brake and tee it into the rear callipers. There all the same ae! i use a D2 one, doesn't have to be a big brand I use a 3/4 master cylinder, gives better lever feel!
