they should have provided that in the pack...min came with a thick lot of photocopies...the DFA construction info was buried in there in the middle I think
No -
R33 steel compressor wheel (or Al) not sure
R33 ceramic turbine wheel
R34 nylon compressor
R34 ceramic turine wheel
The turbine wheel is the problem so the turbos are about equivalent...
More importantly - do you have to solder the LCD screen/board to the 14pin header?? I see it is copper lined on the holes in the LCD board so not sure if it needs to be soldered. Doesn't say in the instructions to solder and there isn't rally much of an area to solder to.
Are they the threaded spacers (they look too fat I think)? The other ones are just like washers (not fat enough)...
I'll finish it off tonight - but did your screen sit completely flat or tilited slightly?
thanks guys
Dont buy all the stuff from nissan. Nissan patrol clutch fits the RB25det...has a good feel (slightly heavier than standard..not much) and is about $200 for the kit...
daikin clutches
Just building the hand controller at the moment. There are 3 links (one under the D25 socket. They were not provided in the pack. Are they meant to be just bits of wire?
Also are you meant to fit something uder the other side of the LCD connector (washers or anything) - it angles down a bit
Apparently with a FMIC and stock ECU you can use quite a bit more fuel as the stock ECU doesnt know what to do with the extra airflow so it throws more fuel into the mix. Either get a SAFC or similar or PowerFC
Dont pay much more than 20k. Most series 1s are going for about 14-15k. series 2 has the airbag which is good but thats about the only extra. ABS is good, no sunroof - no more than 20 max!
96 is in fact almost 10 years old.
I have a r33 RB25det - driving not too hard get about 400-450km to 50-53L.
Usually works out about 11-12L /100km
Not really great but I am going to install a jaycar fuel adjust to lean it out slightly because I know the AFRs are too low when on boost. Also will check the 02 sensor is working preoperly as these can make a huge difference to fuel economy.
Hopefully get about a 10% improvement.
I drive in kind of freeish flowing traffic but give it a little bit every now and then.
WIth the fuel prices the way they are echos are looking better.
Rememember 98 octane is another 10c more pre litre aswell
Good cars though
Cool. I have been warned against hills though...>>>???
What happens if you change turbos then are you up for anouther $600??
I guess I'll go and ask him.
Its hard to know – it’s a shame for mark if he is pretty good and has been wrongly put down.
I am pretty sceptical now though – there are more than a couple of bad raps…
No - when I spoke to Mark at Hills motorsport I definately said R33 quite a few times and he seemed convinced he has chipped quite a few..
Maybe they have found a way to chip it.. I guess its only a matter of time before everyone else finds out...
