  2. I will have a look tonight. Tim
  3. I think I have a spare one in the shed.......
  4. Hmmmm..... Some interesting posts in here. 1. If you are going to install an L28 just bolt the L24 sump and pickup onto it... I have done it with no probs. 2. best value for money would be Extractors and Twin SU Carbs.....these will make a HUGE difference to an L24 - the head on a C210 is a closed combustion chamer type so whatever you do - DO NOT PLANE THE HEAD - you will get a much better result buy putting in 1mm oversized flat top pistons. 3. There was some talk of stroking.....if you are talking about stroking an L24 then that is easy.. just get L26 or L28 Crank and Rods. If you are talking about Stroking an L28 then forget it ....serious $$$$$$ are needed. TG 1978 Datsun Skyline C210 Rally Car L28 Autronic EFI Lots'a'grunt
  5. If you want "cheap" grunt do one of the following... 1. Extractors. re-curved dizzy and Twin Carbie's - There should be plenty of twin SU carbs and manifold out there for L24 Engine (I have a set lying arounf in the shed collecting dust). The std single carb is the real performance killer on these engines. Even just the Extractors and Carb will make a big difference. 2. Transplant an L28 EFI - Instant grunt however hard to get hold of and potentially $$$ by the time you get the EFI up and running. Number 1 would give you a good package that uis still fairly original. If you wanted to go to the next step you could EFI the L24 by using L28 EFI Parts (Might be able to find a blown L28 with all the right bits for the right $$$ ????) The only "problem" with L24 is that you will struggle to put an after market Cam in it without putting valve reliefs in the bore. (or overboring 1mm). If you do overbore it put flattop piston in and LEAVE THE HEAD ALONE - ie do not plane the head to raise compression as many people do - C210s have a great closed combustion chamber head and with flattop pistons will work really well. 6. FOR SALE 2 x TRS 3" Five Point Harnesses These are red with ROTARY BUCKLES, includes CRUTCH STRAPS. These are FIA Approved, date stamped "2003" hence are "out-of-date" for rally or other motorsport use, however would be fine for street use. These belts have never been crashed and never exposed to UV light for extended periods of time (car always garaged). they were only used for 2 seasons of competition and are as good as new - the only reason i am replacing is that the regulations do not allow for competion use past their expiry date. Offers around $350 for the pair ($1000 New....I am willing to haggle !!).. will ship anywhere in Oz. Photos available on request. Please reply tot his post if you are interested Cheers TG
  7. Try Mitsu Verada Disks........usually you you only need to get a spacer made up to go between the disk and the hub. The BDA catalog at www.dba.com.au has all the dimensions for all the disks they sell.....you can usually find what you want in there !! you can also order all rotors "undrilled" ie if a rotor has the right dimensions but the wrong stud pattern it still will not be a problem.

  9. R30 rear end was a straight up BOLT IN job !!! I actually busted a rear trailing arm and could not source any C210 parts, I tried bolting the R30 Arm onto the C210 Cross member but the toe and Camber was Waaaaaay out so in went the whole rear end !!! biggest advantage for me was Discs and CV-Type driveshafts, no more broken Half shafts !!!!! These shafts are very strong !!! I still use the R180 Diff, these are quite strong and much lighter than the R200. Cheers TG
