    Greetings Again!

So you want an import wagon? Stagea all the way man. Uhmm, only other wagon i can think of that hasnt been mentioned here, is a wrx wagon? Prehaps one like this? http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Subaru-Impreza-2003/SSE-AD-2699247/?Cr=8&sdmvc=1 I know its not really an import, but what about an mazda 3 mps(turbo model)? I guess its not really a wagon though, i reckon your wife might like it though. 2002 toyota mark II? 1jz turbo wagon http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Toyota-Mark-II-2002/SSE-AD-2166537/?Cr=0&sdmvc=1 2001 toyota crown? Same engine as the mark II, things a beauty looks amazing, but its 7k above your limit, thought i might show you though it looks hot. http://www.carsales.com.au/dealer/details/Toyota-Crown-2001/AGC-AD-15610923/?Cr=0&sdmvc=1 These are the only wagons i could find that were imports and have not been mentioned yet, thought id show you them to see what your options are. If it were me, id personally get an commodore ss v8 wagon, or a stagea no doubt.
  2. Yeah sorry man, i now know vicroads are responsible for the demerit point system, i didnt know that in the past. Your right i dont really take notice of things like these because they dont really affect me at this point in time, if that makes sence. I just assumed since police hand out demerit point fines, they would know about them. Also we couldnt ask vicroads because they were closed, the police station was the only place open. Yes your right about the fine, if he had filled it out then it wouldnt of been hes problem anymore. This happened many months ago, so i left out some big information. Okay, hes friend was driving hes car. Hes friend went 40+km over the speed limit and got flashed. Im not exactly sure how many km he was over the limit, but it was somewhere in the 40s. Heres the information i left out: the fine got sent to my friends house he was renting. The problem was, my friend actually moved out of the house, he forgot to update hes address, so the fine went to hes old house, which the new owners must of thrown out or something because it wasnt their mail. So my mates friend didnt tell him he got flashed doing 40+km over the limit, so he had no idea about all this. Anyways couple months later, my friends at my house, we call vicroads to see how long hes got left untill hes on hes full license, thats when they tell us hes accumilated too many points, therefore lost hes license. So we go down to the police station, the officer tells us how and when he lost hes license. Turns out he was driving around without a license for a few months without knowing it, lucky he didnt get caught. So the police officer tells my friend to go to vicroads first thing in the morning, since my friend didnt receive the fine in the mail, and to tell them it was hes friend driving. Vicroads tells us he had 28 days i think it was, to fill out the form saying he didnt do it, as you said r31nismoid. Since my friend didnt actually recieve the fine, it had been long past 28 days, infact months since the fine was issued, so hes fine was months overdue. Vicroads couldnt help us because he didnt fill out the form within 28 days or however long it is. They referred us to some agency/department, honestly cant remember the name of it. Anyways they told us since its months overdue, your only chance of getting the fine in your friends name is if you both go to court, and make your friend sign a form admitting he was the one driving. Thats pretty much the full story if you wanted to know. The fine was 6 demerit points, also because the fine was long overdue it went up in price, im not sure how much exactly he only told me it was a massive fine. If anything here is wrong/false information, its just what ive been told by my friend, im only going by what he told me. hope that made for an interesting read lol.
  3. Far out nice job man keep it up. dat look on peoples faces when this "thing" flys past them
  4. Yeah I found some site after digging thru 10 pages of google lol. Aparently r34 manual coupe 1340kg, auto 1370kg 4 door auto was 1410kg according to the site. Not sure if this site is accurate but seems to be the only site that has this info.
  5. Been looking for days now, I cant seem to find any info on how much the r34 non turbo manual coupes weight. Anyone know the weight differences between the coupe and sedan, if any? All I seem to find are the turbo coupes weight, which aparently is 1410kg.
  6. I havnt actually been pulled over yet in the skyline. Its been about 7 months of ownership. I remember a couple years ago my friends who owned skylines supras etc would get pulled over constantly, I remember once in my friends supra, a cop pulled us over to tell us the car was cop bait lol. I dont wanna jynx it, but it does seem like cops are becoming a little less strict.
  7. Yeah thats true. My dads told me stories how back in the day they used to run from the police, mostly because the cop cars werent as quick as the cars they were driving, and the police didnt have the technology to track your number plate, where you live etc. He actually did tell me the cops used to belt you back in the day. Sounds terrifying lol. What i was trying to say was, as of 2008, thats when it became p plate hunting season. Yes cops were still strict before 2008, but 2008 was the year they started getting much more strict. The media made it out to be because there was alot more hooning going around back in those days then usual. I dont know if this is true or not, like i said i dont trust the media, but thats what they reckon caused the cops to become so much more strict.
  8. Well an officer of the law told us when p platers get there points reset. He said to us every 3 years, you'd think a police officer would know these kinds of things. It is a load of shit to be honest. First we went to the police telling them it was hes friend who did it. The police said sorry you have to go to vicroads we cant help you. So i drove him to vicroads, they said they cant help him, they gave him the number to the department that controls fines and all that, i forgot the name of it. He called them and they said the only way to get the fine to your friend is to prove he did it, only way to do that is to get him to appear in court and sign a paper admitting he was the one driving the car. He reckons he lost the paper but im not even sure if hes friend was even going to sign, if hes friend did sign he was going to lose hes license and pay a massive fine.
  9. So that means if i lose 3 points in 1 year, then lose another 3 the following year, i wont lose my license? This stuffs kinda confusing lol. From what i remember, my friend had to prove hes friend was driving. The only way to do that was to get hes friend to go to court and sign a paper or something confirming he did it. Then hes friend would cop the big fine and loss of points. My friend had to go to court a few months ago, he somehow lost the paper hes friend was supose to sign, so in the end my friend copped the fine.
  10. Well my friend was going to lose hes license for going 40km or something over the limit. He lent hes car to hes friend, who was the one who went 40km over the limit. Anyways one day we called vicroads to see how long he has left until hes on hes full license. Vicroads said hes gathered more then 5 points meaning hes lost hes license. I drove him to the police station to find out how and why hes lost more then 5 points. Cop came out told him what caused him to lose hes points. He then asked the cop, how long does it take for me to get my 5 points back. The cop said every 3 years p platers get there 5 points back. That means we only have 5 points for 3 years. After those 3 years your points will reset to 5 points. I hope that cop was wrong =s
  11. Yep, us p platers are treated as if were criminals. Way too many strict rules i dont agree with, some i do though. Im not entirely sure why they are stricter then ever, from what i can see, they went into operation hunt p platers in late 2007-2008. You can see from vids on youtube, its the people who are now in there 30s that made the cops stricter then ever. Hooning was at an all time high around then, from what ive seen in news reports, vids etc, it was so bad they had to introduce these strict rules. Still i never really trust the media, mostly propaganda. According to the media and police, it was the people who are now in there 30s, who screwed this current generation. Thanks! As a p plater you only start off with 5 points. Your points come back every 3 years if you lose some. You get your full license after being on your p's for 4 years. So what this means is, for 3 years you must not lose your 5 points otherwise youll get your license suspended and youll be reset back to red p's, meaning youll have be on your p plates for 4 years again. Imagine only having 5 points for 3 years. If you cop 2 fines there goes your license. And as you can see, there are all sorts of stupid fines that take away points that shouldnt, example being not displaying p plates = 3 points. You know what really annoys me the most about this though? Im doing 59 in a 60 zone or 79 in a 80 zone for example. People on there full license do about 5km or so over the limit when theres no police around. Sometimes youll get the jackass who decides to beep because doing the speed limit is too slow for him/her. These people need to realise, we only got 5 points, im not going to cop a 3 point fine for speeding because you want to get home quicker. My dad even admits most people on there full license will get away with going a few km over the speed limit, p plater does it though, end up on a current affair probably. I even asked a cop once why this is the case, hes answer was so we dont end up like the current drivers on the road.
  12. I know, and i agree it would be really stupid for it to come on with only 5 seconds left of fuel. I just find it odd that it says im on empty, yet i fill it up and it only takes about 40L of petrol, thats still 25L of petrol left. One day i drove it around for a couple days when the needle was on empty. Eventually i went to fill up because i thought the fuel light would of turned on by now, so i thought maybe my car doesnt have one. It only took 40L, i was thinking it was going to take atleast 55L of petrol before being completely full again. So thats why im thinking i need a new fuel sender but thought id better ask the people on these forums before i waste money on something not needed. Im not complaining that much though, better safe then sorry, just that fuel reading is very misleading. Now that i know the fuel warning light comes on with 10L of petrol left, im going to top it all the way up and drive it until the light comes on and see how much km i get out of 55L of petrol. I guess im hoping for atleast 450km out of 55L.
  13. Now that sounds better. I fill my car up to the maximum limit it can hold. (65L), i drive it all the way untill it literally hits the end of the empty line, i go to fill it up, it only takes about 35-40L. Its still got around 20L left of petrol yet it says its empty. The light doesnt come up or anything, im just too scared to risk it incase. Ive heard this is pretty common in skylines, anyone know? Any possible fix to this if any?
  14. Here man, this skyline sounds really similar to the sound your looking for. Imo, i reckon this sound sounds much better then the one your looking for, sounds exactly like the r34 gtr from 2 fast 2 furious. In the vid description he posts down exactly what hes done to the car to get that sound. So you could potentially go for this sound, maybe it could help you with the sound your looking for. But yeah, i reckon go for this sound man, it sounds so epic, i wish i could get my r33 to sound like this.
  15. Doesnt sound that bad? Man thats terrible fuel consumption. Do n/a drink more then turbos or something?

    Come to dandenong huehuehue
  17. Wow! 420kw at the wheels, 0-100 in 3 secs, that things a monster. My mechanic told me dont launch the car incase you stuff the driveshafts, not sure why he said it but its made me paranoid now lol. Its nice to know the potential the car has. adam96 put the twin tip back on man, the car will be more responsive, youll be less cop bait, and youll save fuel. With your current exhaust, its sluggish in low rpms, your stepping on the accelerator more to get moving when your in the low rpms. This means you will be drinking more fuel while driving in daily conditions. My friend has an r34 n/a which has the newer and more fuel efficient engine rb25de neo. He had a 3inch blitz nur spec exhaust I think it was. Hes fuel consumption was way worse then mine. Hes car is lighter, and has the more fuel efficient engine yet drinks more and is slower because of that exhaust. anyways whats your fuel comsumption like with your current exhaust and what was it like with the twin tip?
  18. Hey im after some extractors. I am after either coby extractors or dkne extractors, possibly custom made ones, show me what you got. Located in melbourne, probably willing to spend max $350 for 2nd hand, depending on condition.
  19. I own a gts4 aswell. The way it handles is amazing, really scary in the wet though. Gts4s have shorter gear ratios then the rwd models, not sure if thats a good thing or bad thing. Weights about 100kg more then the rwd model, also drinks abit more then the rwd model. Lauching it off the line will beat the rwd model, i swear this car was made to be launched, probably best not to do it though incase you snap a driveshaft or something. How much fuel do you get out of a full tank? I get around 350km with about 10-15L left in the tank, it says im empty but only takes around 45-55bucks to completely fill it up, guess its reading it wrong or something. Still 45-55bucks of petrol lasts me around 350km, which is pretty bad i reckon. Theres not really any positives to this car, if you need a part for your car, its almost impossible to find gts4 parts. It shares some parts with the gtr model, so if one of them parts goes, expect to pay a fortune. Honestly, its a good rare and fun car to drive, but theres just too many negatives to the car, id rather the rwd model. Although i let my friend test drive my car, hes driven plenty of the non turbo rwd models before, he reckons mine was the fastest hes ever driven, so i dont think they are any bit slower then the rwd model. Also have raced a few non turbo r33s during friday night princess highway drags, i beat every single one of them, but then again they all had massive 3inch exhausts, sucks the absolute power out of them. Positive advice i can give you is, if your going to get an exhaust, 2.5inch is the absolute max you should go. Go over 2.5inch and i promise you your car will sound like crap, and youll lose to honda civics, mx5s and camrys. Get a cold air intake, extractors, 2.5inch exhaust, clean the throttle body, if the cars not thrashed to death, and if its manual, youll be getting low 7s-mid 7s 0-100, so your car will be about as a quick as a stock n/a supra. My car got 7.5 seconds 0-100 without a cold air intake and without extractors, so they have decent power for what they are. Expect all the turbo guys to make fun of you and claim youll lose to camrys, wont happen unless you go 3inch exhaust. Mod your car the right way and youll have yourself a respectable skyline. Wont be the fastest p plate legal car, but itll be up there as long as you do it right. Mess it up and youll be slower then hondas...
  20. Hey still have the gear and handbrake boots for sale?
  21. Wow, very nice cressida. I reckon the first rims tbh, they make the car look more classy to me. The second ones give it a sporty look, but i honestly think the classy look, looks alot better on that car. Which ones are the enkei's?

    33 Gts Wont Start

Did you end up getting an auto electrician to look at it? Have you checked the fuel pump yet? When my car wouldnt start, it had spark but i guessed it wasnt getting fuel based on the sound it was making. I was stuck at knox shopping centre at 5 30pm, didnt wanna call a truck to take it to my house, but leaving at knox shopping centre over night is asking for trouble. I changed the fuel pump and viola, car was running again. Best to just get an expert to check it out man.

Yeah i saw that exact same skyline near lyndale high school in dandenong north. Also saw a black one that exact same day near chadstone.
  24. So has anyone seen a massive increase of bats flying around at night? For the past few months ive noticed a huge increase of bats in the south eastern suburbs like dandenong and oakleigh. Its pretty scary when you see a bunch of bats flying above your head.
  25. Anyone know what this antenna is thats sitting on my right hand side dashboard, next to the windscreen? Ive had my car for around 6 months now and I have no idea what this antenna is/does.
