  1. few ways to do it,  tune it properly on 98,  then drain the tank totally and tune it on e85,  once this is done then you can start adding 98 and tuning different blends,  this way you will always have a correct tune no matter what the content is

  2. GCG RB25DET GTX Highflow

I got a highflow turbo,  its a 21u R33 turbo that has had a $1799 highflow job done by GCG in Sydney

They used a gtx30 compressor wheel,  this turbo is in good condition with very little shaft play.

Comes with dump pipe and actuator and return hose and oxy sensor - what you see in the pics is what you get.

The turbo is basically a gtx3071r

Newcastle NSW,  but can post no dramas,  cash on pickup or DD only please.

  3. I paid 29,000$ for my first R33 series 1.5 auto car.  Price included insurance.

Sure that brings the purchase price back down to 25k.

This car can be purchased now for 2000- 4000$.

It is just a shame that our cars have good good parts that other lesser cars need to be reliable which makes the demand for parts skyrocket.

Suggestion,  anyone got a spare 100k?  buy as many r33 gtst's as you can and store them for 10 years....  bet you walk away with over a mill....

  4. How many skylines are left?

I been around the skyline scene since pretty much the start.

We had alot of respect for our cars back then,  we kept them so clean and in great condition!

But now that time has gone on...  all i see is wrecked skylines being parted out.

Yeah sure I understand when some kid writes of his R33 skyline and it was too expensive for him to insure so he is trying to make some money back to get a car to get around in.

I am seeing cars being destroyed that are in good road worthy condition just so the guy can make a quick buck,  it is hard to sell a registered r33 series 1 manual for 4k these days but once you sell the engine and manual conversion and any juicy mods the car has had there is your 4k plus change,  then a perfectly good shell goes to sims metal to be crushed.

This pisses me off,  I have bought a few cars and any car that could be put back on the road has been put back on the road and sold,  not stripped and scraped,  except for the couple of written off ones i have got in the past.

So anyone got any idea what kinda numbers were imported and how many are actually left?

At this rate a r33 skyline is going to be rare by 2020.

    *end of rant*

Pic is of my R32 Skyline at Yas Island F1 track Abu Dhabi

  5. The standard intake plenum has been known to flow quite a bit of power,  and nissan would have spent alot of $$$ making them.

The biggest hurdle you have when going to a FFP is even distribution between all the cyl's by intake design.

If the plazmaman plenum flows even a little better horse power then a stock one then it is a win win situation because it has been tested to have even air distribution to all cyl's.

Alot of plenums people make / buy go backwards.

    +1 for Plazmaman

Video of a standard unopened rb25 that I tuned a few years ago with standard intake plenum and also standard exhaust manifold,  external gate was welded onto the manifold or the rear housing i cannot remember now.

  6. So i got a similar issue with my gts-4

When i try and turn into a car park or a sharp corner the whole front and rear lock up and you can hear the tyres skipping.

Have bleed the system - no change.

removed rear diff and checked diff ratio,  4.363:1

removed front diff cover checked diff ratio 4.363:1

front diff behaves normal when spinning wheels or the input

remove shaft from transfer case to diff and issue goes away.

Is there any other things you can check?  before i remove the gearbox and change the transfer case.

    cheers
