the haltech is about $400 cheaper than the link here. but based on what you say sounds like the difference might be worth it.
are you comparing the same ecu ? plugin for plug in ? extreme vs ps2000???
that timing map is not the reason why this engine went bang. it is not an ideal map, but it aint going to hurt anything. it could have been tuned a bit harder.

ive tuned many haltech's and link's / vipec... and i rate the belovid Kiwi's link and vipec over the haltech on any application every day of the week.
the link is better, the software is great... everything is on one drop down menu on the left side.... and the software is very customisable to show what you like while tuning.
the haltech is great also, would prefer it over many other ecu's on the market. but i really rate Link / Vipec.

you could tune that ecu with most values in that fuel map at 50.
this ecu does not use a maf, its map based.
it calculates the ve a number of ways, rpm, map, ect, iat, etc etc etc.
they are a really good ecu, ve is better on the autronic and adaptronic though.

you clowns obviously do not know how the ve on these things work, that tune looks kinda okay in the fuel maps and timing maps, if you look at a stock r33 bin image it actualy runs MORE timing up top!
ffs. ve on these things reference to another 2 places in the ecu to decide on the fueling.
now i am starting to understand why tuners lock their maps.

no the ones i advertised are GTR r32/ r33 gtr - rb26.
I do have ONE z32 ecu left modified for r33 rb25det. but i was going to put it in my car.. if you want it then its yours. $550

its an adaptronic. if it dont work.. the guys at adaptronic love their customers... they will fix it with minimal fuss.
i got one for sale but i want $1000 for it... $600 is a bargain!! id be suprised if the ecu even exists

I got a adaptronic ecu, used in my car for 3 months only. plugin for rb engines, with 4 bar map sensor inbuilt looking for $1100.
Garrett ball bearing gt3082r turbo, brand new braided oil and water line fitting kit, low mount external gate adaptor, low mount stainless steel manifold with machined face, spare t3 spacer flange, synaps 38mm wastegate with flange and screamper pipe, silicon hose bend for intercooler pipe from turbo, brand new k&n filter 4" and flange for exhaust dump pipe. pretty much all you need bar the dump pipe to install. turbo good for 300kw 98 and 350kw e85 easily $1000 firm
r32 / r33 gtr nistune ecu $500
rb20det r32 nistune ecu $500

ive got a set of denso 850cc injectors, they are in a stock rail. they have been removed and cleaned and flow tested and came up perfectly, the rail also has a tomei fuel pressure regulator on it as well with adaptor.
also it has the injector loom.
the injector clean job cost me $200, so i am asking $750 for the whole lot posted anywhere in australia.

thats the kinda power it should be making on 98...3582r .82 rear housing.... about 350ish... even more ive reached 365+ with that turbo... on 98 octane.

thats an awefull alot of trouble to go through for just a eprom z32 ecu when you could have just nistuned your ecu for about $200
there are plenty of ways to shoot yourself in the foot
wouldnt mind seeing some pictures of the wiring job and of the car... very interested.

these things are hardcore... full ethernet... so powerfull you could install a operating system and browse the internet on it

has the engine had coolant running through it all its life? it could be a corroded head from the water jacket into the exhaust port...
im thinking head issue.
