Okay, very strange thing happening at the moment, just going to see if anyone has any ideas, as i am running out of them... car has been misfiring for a little while, cleaned the AFMs, gotten new fuel filter, new o2 sensors, new set of coil packs, new spark plugs, tried a mates igniter pack...so far nothing has fixed it... i will start the car in the morning, let it warm up, then drive on my way to work, it will boost and drive fine all the way to 7000rpm hapily...then once it gets hotter or i have been driving it for about 10-15mins, it will start to cough and splutter...starting at like 3000rpm all the way up, if i drive under this it seems fine, if i rev into the spluttering, it will blow my IGN fuse under the bonnet and the car will shutdown... we have tried all of the above, extra grounding on the engine, sorta out of ideas at the moment...anyone got some suggestions on what might be causing this???

Okay, i went to the NGK website and found the part numbers for the o2 sensors that should go in my R32 GTR, but i have rung around and no-one has them in stock, they are NGK-OTD2F-P1P, but then i went searching and found that the nissan silvia SR20DET engine uses the same plug...but to add to that, i went to but some o2 sensors for a SR20DET and the dude is telling me the part number is NGK-OZA395-E2. will these work or do they need to be the OTD2F-P1P sensors? and where can i get them from if anyone knows :S thanks...

  7. took out the clock on my r32 dash and put the timer in there, looks like a factory feature, except for the blue LED screen
  8. may be the hose that goes to the blow off valve or turbo wastegate or something you have blocked off, what car is it?
  9. electronic contact cleaner...dick smith sells the cans of it works a treat just spray it on and make sure you dont touch the vane at all....

  13. 4wd light on all the time = not bled or no fluid...if it goes sideways, its prolly not working, check the resovoiur in the boot and see if both the top and bottom tank is full? and maybe bleed the system too...might fix ur problem...but my light stayed on when i put my engine back in last week until i bled the system out
  14. 30 minute installation, a $150 lock bar and a wheel alignment and u'll never have to worry about the HICAS again

  17. factory boost control at teh moment... re-gapped the plugs a bit smaller, seems to run a bit smoother, still has the cough when i am accelerating around 3000rpm, if i put my foot down (a little or a lot) it will usually go cough cough splutter, vroom alot more drivable tho, i now have power below 3000rpm which i diddnt have before... could it be anything to do with the igniter on the rocker cover as i have replaced the coils with known working ones, and checked that loom from the igniter to the coils... getting there
  18. ran the diagnostics check, all came back 55 A.OK did the o2 sensor check and it measured lean and rich when u rev it, cleaned the AFMs, replace the fuel filter, checked the coils...still has the little cough when accelerating like it skips a few beats as is is revving...:S gonna check teh gaps on the plugs today and see if that helps, still quite strange tho :S
  19. i finally took my hicas out last weekend, took all the hosing, and units out and plumbed the hose back to the breater hose in the front where the 4ws actuator was, works like a dream, just have to take the hicas bulb out of the dash now...

Hey guys, just got my engine back and running it in at the moment, im finding that when i accellerate at about 30% (normal acceleration) sometimes it will cough and splutter a bit, but when i accelerate harder it will spool and rev what seems to be fine, the timing is spot on... anyone got ideas? it was running and revving fine before i got the engine rebuilt so dont not sure what the problem might be...rebuild is just standard with forgies so shouldnt need tuning i wouldnt think :S
  22. Hey guys, was just wondering if anyone around Bankstown area might have a consult interface that i could check the fault codes and readings on my GTR with, just put a fresh engine in it and it seems to be really boggy down low, wanted to check and see what was going on with it...
