  1. lol yeah, mounted the amps inside the box, makes more room in the boot...
  2. Ok, seings as we're on the topic of 32 boot installs, here's my almost completed one...managed to fit 2x12s in and still have "SOME" boot space ... still needs some carpeting, but its all done otherwise...took me a while to calculate the optimal size and build the box but i got it working in the end...
  3. Some Photos Here you may find some more piccies on some of these sites... - SydneyCruising.com - TeamDREAM that i know of...
  4. yep, same as a single turbo, just stick a t-piece with an actuator in each side, the boost controller out the other one and then run the boost controller up to where the other hose used to come off and block off the other one...(where the metal pipe comes round, there will be an outlet for each turbo, just use one and block the other)
  5. easy, just hook it up just before the actuators with a t-piece... on the turbo side of the engine...not on the other side, it wont work...then u can put the restrictor back in and have lower stock boost...and then use the dual stage to up it...

  8. nice, i'm building my custom boot at the moment to fit 2x12"s in a 32 and leave boot space lol, so i'd be interested to see some more pics too if u have em!
  9. unplug ur old comp, plug in the power fc....done.
  10. was it a white r33? with another one parked behind it by chance? if so i saw u on my way home...i know how it feels, i got halfway to penrith, and ended up sitting in the twin servos for 4 hours waiting for a tow truck when i ran a bearing :) not fun that sux about tha overheat :S... but yeah, probably the best value for money would be what Mulkers said, front cut, coz they usually come with a warranty too...then u just drop that one out and bolt the other one in and off u go easy as pie hehe good luck...
  11. hehe i had was soo close to fitting, if only the rear windscreen wiper motor diddnt sit so low it would have fitted :S depends if u like ur boot space or not i guess hehe 6" splits in the front doors, rear fill is upto you if u want it, im only running 6" front splits and sub at the moment, gonna put another set of splits in later, and as for 6x9s...no thanks, not for me, go to an autobarn store or similar and listen to the difference... oh and as for brands of splits, depends on the budget, i like MTX, kenwood are good, fusion, peerless are really nice but bit too expensive for my budget , focal...but best bet is to take music u like to a store and sound test them as it comes down to personal preference... head units, i like Alpine, JVC is good, as is kenwood & pioneer...depends on the features u want
  12. hmm, i can reccomend these brands from hearing them, have fun with the sub box in the boot be interested to see how you go about the boot install, i've found it a bit of a squeeze... - DD (if your after SPL and no matter about price ) - cerwin vega - fusion - JL - pioneer comp ones - high end rockford forsgate more SQ style... - Eclipse - boston acoustics hmm. so many to choose from...i took the fusion approach myself... as for sub amps, jaycar is good value for money...havent really tried any others...
  13. ooh, i need a new one of those lol, mangled my one with my driveway :S being able to go a bit lower would be good but... would be cool if they were that flexi-fiberglass stuff! thay are pretty low as it is, mine has stock suspension & ride height and took out my lip with my driveway
  14. Some more pics... http://gallery.as-tech.com.au/thumbnails.php?album=39
  15. im gonna say go with a second hand engine, and get a warranty on it, if something stuffs up, warranty, ask them to test the engine before you buy it even, get a compression test etc, if you have found shrapnal in ypur engine...you could also get a rebuild, but it all depends on how much value a rebuild is going to give you...and the cost when you work out how much damage you have done to your engine. A. if you got a rebuild you will know the internals, but it will more than likely cost more than expected (past experiences) also, you will rebuild it and then still have to get either the turbo fixed or get another turbo. B. if you got another engine, that was possibly tested, for less than the rebuild, worst case scenario, something dies, but you now have enough parts to make one engine from two, best case scenario, compressions are all equal and the car powers on like it should and makes your 200kw a new engine might come with a turbo also, ruling out some more cost... C. you whack another turbo on, and the engine screws up, first off you needed the turbo anyway as the other one is stuffed, secondly you need to then choose either rebuild or get another motor so you are in the same situation as before but you have ruled out one possibility. only problem i can see with that is that if the turbo gets damaged in the process of driving the car if something is damaged or some crap gets in the oil. other hand, if the engine works fine, then you have saved yourself the cost of a rebuild. lol. ok i'll stop rambling now good luck
  16. are you running castor adjustment? whats the toe settings like on the front? i went down to CRG and bought a go-kart wheel alignment kit that does camber/castor and made up a toe setting system from a few pieces of metal, maybe cheaper than getting tyre shops to do wheel alignments all the time
  17. that could work but i think the pc power supplies are around 4A mark, so it should run a headunit fine, but an amp will probably draw 20A+, even more maybe... This is the baby you can get from jaycar: http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?I...eMax=&SUBCATID= Can get them for $319 if anyone is interested also...
  18. Hey, im looking to find a crankshaft for my RB26, the one in my car is stuffed, and is past its limit of being used again, so i am trying to find one that is salvageable, if anyone has one of these in sydney then pls let me know, thanks.
  19. i had my sub running of my home theater setup, make sure the amp is capable of running the ohms the sub would be putting out and make sure its low passed and you shoule be right, i had mine running 4ohm per coil off 2 channels of a household amp with the sub feed from my theater receiver works a treat... otherwise, you can buy power converters from jaycar that will run a full stereo system, head unit amps and speakers for about 250-300ish i think from memory...
  20. yep, he asked me to sell it for him, not looking for a trade sorry, he has just bought a house so time to sell the toys has done about 30000k's or something, however accurate that is im not sure
  21. pics added. sorry i've had higher offers than 50, thanks
