  3. Dude... why? :chairshot Save the money and buy a R32gtr :uh-huh: B-eer (spelling?) in Japan have a R34 gtr conversion/kit bout 10k befor freight, fitting and painting! Trust me... Save the money and buy GTR their coming down in price!!! might get a good trade in on the GTS-T + 10k saved from the front conversion = at least 15k, just another 5k from base GTR + insurnace. Don't dress mutton up as lamb- we all know the difference! might take a couple of bites but in the end we'll find out. GTR is the way to go! :uh-huh: Good luck
  4. Sweet Targo mate! Apart from the smooth body and slick wheels, what mod's does the R33 sport? Also maybe in future fuzz out the background, people watch these forums and it would be quite easy for “unwanted” persons to recognise the location of these photos due to the background.
  5. Pentae- would you like to share with us a break down of you importing costs, I could just search- bound to be some relevent info on here. I think the 15 year rule was a great opportunity missed for importing some wild cars i know one Medori (spelling?) and a wide body Versiled GTR got though but it would have been nice to see more "full workshop tune GTR” [or in English] workshop demo GTR’s get though! Unfortunately I missed the boat when it came to purchasing a GTR under the 15 year rule but I’m hopeful under the SEVS I can pick up a R32 GTR VSpec II or just by locally a R33 GTR (I suspect they be around the same price mid 30k). Back to the topic at hand- he (fake400r) already has a daily driver and a GTS-T to play with: I would sell the GTS-T for a start on a deposit on a house! But if the man want’s a GTR- now is the best time to buy! fake400r I'd recomend a drive to Melbourne and pick one up there! Worth the trip interstate. Canberra is in a similar situation- one or two import’s, 1 very dodgy – others are questionable! I’d be going to Sydney for my next car!
  6. I totally agree!!! 89 models for 27k- no thanks! Specally when these people were picking them up for around 12-20k. Factor in transport, "compliance" etc: 5k (max). Pentae could tell us more When R32 come under SEVS we'll access to more R32 Vspec's and N1's although compliance is about 5k alone There are some really nice R32's for sale on here couple of Vspec's and even an N1 but check the trading post as well! But for a R32 GTR- 25k you can pick up a R33 GTR for another 10k. I believe R33 is a softer more day to day car than the R32 and it is seriously tempting me! It will just take that little bit longer to save but you’ll have a more comfortable car for the day to day grind. If ya looking for a track car- R32 is for you!
  7. Just wait for the "new"- RX-7 to come out- I think the prices for rx-8will drop even further- faster! If we do evetually get the new Skyline you'll see the 350z drop quite a bit! How long befor the R34 GTR's are under 50k- their getting close?
  8. Sorry sould have made that clear- Buy in Oz- to source something already in aus
  9. Hi, I have just got a quick question about car brokers: Is there any in Canberra? Has anyone use one? Recommendations? Did they actually check out the car mechanically? Or just pull it off a web search? I am asking cuz in a little while I have some dosh together and looking to pick up a R32 GTR but between working fulltime and uni I don’t have much time to go interstate. Cheers.
  10. Mate that R32 is a steal with those mods at that price! If i had the money i'd be up there! People round me want same/more money for less car. Good luck with the sale and R34 (make sure it's a VspecII and bayside blue)
  11. I think the prices people are asking for R32 GTR's is a little excessive, 30K+ for a 89 model (with some mods) while you can pick up 92-94 for high 20's. People can no longer expect to get that kinda of money due to rise in supply which is slowly meeting demand. 15 year rule has brought down prices which is a good thing if you are buying but if bad if you selling... If the 15 year rule was to remain "open" for another 2years we could all get Series 6 RX-7's for 20k and less!!! It would be just like the R32 GTR's massive influx, prices go down and heaps of kick ass rotors going around. Without the 15 year rule most of us would still be driving (or thinking) VL-T or cordia's and imagine the prices of WRX's or even GSR lancers (GSR's still overpriced in my book). Shame that the rule will change but at least their will be heaps of parts available, tuning packages and know how out there My 2 cents Tommyk Where can i pick up a R34 GTR for 55k?
  12. Silver_r33 Because it’s a Chaser (o’sweet sweet chaser) take it to someone good!!!... The Canberra workshops have plenty of expertise on Nissan’s-Holden’s-Fords but not Toyota’s… And certainly not Chasers there’s like only three in Canberra and you’re the first to get some serious mod’s done! Hop onto Toyota websites and ask the same question… What ever you decision is Just don’t go Evo Motorsport see above and many- many other examples of then thrashing/poor workmanship on peoples cars. Good luck!
  13. Mate, Just think outside the box.... 2JZ... VVTI one turbo Similar price if not less than a RB26 Just trying to be different Fit them to eveything... Seen one in a Walky...
  14. Nice! I'd wouldn't have thought of the flap! Does AVC-R display boost ? in a graphical form? Your car mmmgtir? Apart from the simple cutting the sunvisor what other parts was involved?
  15. Sinista32 Could be time to slot in an N1 or Newish R34 RB26 Not shur what type of computer ya running and the compatablity of parts but it could be good/better value for money than a simple rebuild Smaller Labour costs Get the car back quicker Dead engine out Good engine in... (gestimate... 2 weeks ) Or Dead engine out Rebuild engine Good engine back in Appropiate Engine Run-in (various reves- various gears) (gestimate 4 weeks) Just something to think bout! Some guy posted up an R34 or N1 engine look into it. Bad luck
  16. Check if your cars are still with you! On the way to work I saw a Dark (could be black or G.M. Grey) GTS (T or 4). Nice clean car white rims. The passenger and driver where white 15-20 yrs and they were both wearing hooded tops. It was just the look they gave me and the fact they had the windows up but their hoods on! First part of the number plate is YDF I think. If you own: R32 GTS-T or GTS-4 Black or Gun metal Gray Colour While Rims Live in the South Side- Wanniassa/Erindale area And numberplate starts with YDF Just please check your baby! Sorry bit vague but just though you guys should know
  17. Just quick question or three: How much did you pic your V-Specs up for and when and how? R32 GTR under the old "SEVS"? Private import? What are the differences between v-spec II N1 and a v-spec II. I'm looking to buy one mid year but i don't won't to another wait another 3-4 years under the 15 year rule- (which will probably disapper this year)? Hopefull I pick one up in OZ or under the current SEVS. Thanks
  18. [[Danny]] Could you PM more specs/photos What year is it? Thanks
  19. Don't know where to mount the gauge but with respect to the AVC-R: Thinking about mounting inside the Drivers Sun-visor. 3 reasons... 1) When not need it can be folded up and the AVC-R is out of site… Stealth install- less attractive to thieves (out of sight- out of mind). 2) When you do need to use it- if while driving- fold down the sun-visor and it’s direct line of site… don’t need to take your eyes of the road… 3) How often do you see mounted there? Problems- 1) Running the cable from the appropriate areas up the inside of the drivers “A” pillar then into the visor. 2) Thickness and weight of the AVC-R would probably require the visor to be cut and some bracing inserted. It probably would not sit flush either. I know it sounds like a big job but if people can do it to Mini TV’s you certainly can mount AVC-R. Your effort = Your time and money. Also if you have the AVC-R (Air Volume Controller ?) it comes with a boost display. There for don’t require the boost gage- sell it and it’ should pay for some of the sun visor modifications. My idear when I finly get my line... Stuck with VL for now
  20. I'm with Adzmax Looking to pic-up a 'Line middle of next year... these have heaps of gear and look the part! No compliance plates available right now But with stuffing around with 15 year rule and SEVS who know's Wait and see Jan 1

  22. Ok just a simple question... "Q" Under these proposed changes will the 15 year rule still exist? i.e.: In 2005 we will be alowed to import 1990 R32 GTR's After reading all these post's my brains fried :microwave
