Sorry mate didn't see ya Also i have djhatton's line now

Rant <ON> What s**t's me to tears is the fact that they (Act gov.) spent 3 mill each year for the V8 "super" cars, blocking off streets, special injunctions for the noise and etc and have done little to with the drag strip. Well, except make some noise around election time to get some votes. You know what s**t’s me even more if they want it they'll push it through. I.e. the evangelist church with 300 parking spaces going up near the Tugg. BMX track... Did you see it in the paper? Did you see any community consultation signes up? Just like the jail “it is going here and there is nothing you can do about it”!! Bureaucratic Bulls**t. They could make this happen quicker but they won’t unless it serves them some purpose. Rant <OFF>

Hi all, I’m the lucky fella to pick up dj’s line. It’s a beautiful car I’ll do my best to keep it that way. I’ll catch ya all around! NAman

What size are the speakers will fit in the stock locations??? thanks

Dude if it ain't a Turbo Calais forget it! Go the R31... I just had my VL blow it's head- once again illustrating the issues with VL and the F**king radiator mounted lower than the engine! I have spent about 2.5k just keeping it on the road in the last year and it goes and blows a head on me! So- If it ain’t turbo go the R31- less hassle and less attention from the unwanted. My 2cs as a forma VL owner

R32 Gtr Turbos V R34 Gtr Turbos
NAman replied to gillies2001's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
R32's are ceramics which if boosted they will fall off into your engine/exhaust (plus their older and would have more ware and tear) R34's are steel/metal and don't fall off into your engine/exhaust (plus there newer) -
Help! Why Does My Skyline Conk Out?
NAman replied to quocies's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Is your tank making a "gurgling noise?" My RB30 did for a while then the intank died. Got a new one and runs just fine Maybe if it is the AFM- it might blow a bit of black smoke- so check the around the exhaust for a black build up. Good luck! -
Yep i checked I couldn't find ACT related thred Thanks all
-
Cheers guy's! I just don't want to be buying a rx7 where the second turbo won't spool or engine need a rebuild. Also to give me a heads up on what work the car requires so it can be factored into the price nego. Once again thanks for the replys! NAman

Hi All, Not related lines but Where in Canberra would it be good to take a rotor to get pre-purchase inspection done- You know check out the car before I put down some of my blood, sweat and tears [money] Cheers PS: i have done a search for "rotor, rotary" in the ACT froum and got nothing!

When you swaped the radiator/cooling set up did you blead air out of the system? There is one little bolt that you losen to let air out after you have added the fluid. oppsite side of the engine to the alternator should be a little yellow sticker How did you pick the cracked head: Oil in cooling fluid? Big mofo visable crack? Running on only 4 cyclnders i.e. missing when ideling? Compression test? Sounds like a good time to swap heads or even engines!

If you can't afford comp insurance- you can't afford the car!!! Sorry but that’s how I see it! Good luck any way Stevie- when you finshed with the chick, give SkyGTRline a few slaps for not having full insurance!

I currently own a NA VL Auto bout 5 years My was and still my first car- keep me out of trouble till I got to 25+ to get a “sportier car” Why did I go the VL 1) it’s so slow I can’t get into any trouble if I tried 2) heaps of cheep parts/servicing is cheep 3) cheep to insure compared to the VL turbo/R32GTR 4) had tasty mods/paint/rims when I got it: Nice 17” rims Cold air induction 3” mendal bent exhaust- 5” tip Fairly new pain + colour coded bumpers New interior And I put in : central locking Alarm + 3 point moibliser 2.3k worth of stereo 2 small kangaroo dents (bloody roo’s) All I can say is get a manual anything- make life interesting You really need to give us more info: Your age- insurance is greatly depended on age/driving history? Is this your first car? Intended use for the car? Will there be future mods? With this info we can help you more! (More relevant opinions) I would swing towards the R31 cuz there is a lot less stigma associated with the R31’s than VL’s The RB30 is quite hard to kill- but can easily be undone by the cracking heads “problem” I don’t see it as a problem but more of an opportunity to put a RB25 head on and get an extra 30/40% out of the RB25/30 hybrid (NA RB30) or just dump in a RB20/25/26 VL and the R31 are cheep, heaps of parts and can have heaps of mods before cracking open the engine for expensive internals Me- id take the R31 Gets less attention from bogans/theiths/police- more of the sleeper Say you wanna buy a VL?

Let us know how you go, My mate has gone though a bit of this shite before- sooner ya get the insurance on side (preferably your side)- the better. And let this be a lesson to us all! [goes back to his corner]

I'd get the insurance people to chase her down Saves your time, your money - and that’s what their there for- that’s what you have paid them for! You were a good person and gave her a chance... She obviously took it, spat on it, screwed it up and thrown back at your face. Cry 'Havoc!' and let slip the dogs of insurance, They know the laws and can make her life hell: Bad credit rating, Repossession of personal property Loan sharks knocking at her/family door at all hours You’ll feel that warm and fuzzy feeling that someone is getting their priorities forcibly rearranged from them, due to their cowardliness and there is some righteous returning to this world! The sooner the better- you may have already done your self a disservice! The more time that passes- more time she has to change her details- making it harder for her to be found. My two cents PS: when people do this it pisses me off!

Speaking of front wheel drives Maybe a Suzuki GTI with an avo turbo kit on it Avo has kits for same thing for Honda civics’, Rav 4's and mx-5's I think “80%” power boost “with appropriate exhaust modifications”- or something like that! Kit only about $5k or less and car should be about $5k as well. 10k sleeper
-
And one of those big “HOLDEN” stickers that covers the top 15% of the front windscreen!!! Rotors do not = stealth nor cheep Just make sure what ever car is bough has 4 things: Bowling hat on back parcel shelf, Sheep skin front seat covers and Pea shooter exhaust No badges Optional extras would include: Black sun visor /blinds on back windows, Faded paint, Factory hubcaps, Christen “fish” sticker,

Aaahhha!!! A true wolf in sheep’s cloth- Just got to give the wolf some teeth... and get it through customs. Didn’t come with a cool digital "heads Up display (HUD)" But i though we only got the 2.4 FWD???? SR20DET AWD Nissan Bluebird SSS was Japan only?! obviously you have your hands on one of these! How/where did you pick yours up?
-
You could also try buying a early model Holden (VL, VK etc) and drop an RB engin in or as said previously R31 with an RB25. All are reasonably cheep cars (bough under 3k) Engine package, fitment and engineering would be at another 10k max All would be sleepers and not attract any attention-- until you lite the bags! Saab 9000 turbo would be an interesting choice... I though it was a "special" variant of the Mitsubishi RVR that had the evo stuff- something like Mitsubishi "RVR HSGR" Hyper sports gear? Xspeed in WA was running some interesting times in one for something that looks like a van! Narr... Stick with the VR4 cheep/no fuss with compliance or engine conversions
-
What about a VR4? All wheel drive Turbo Very plain looking! Take off the rear spoiler/badges and you got an old lancer like "thing"! When the engine or driveline go's bang drop in evo replacements. Heaps of potential! But cheep!

1993 GTR R32 Vspec -proof please R33 N1 engine -proof please VIN/Engine Numbers Some photos go a long way too! Cheers.

Dude!!! Save your money untill off you "P's" and then you can go wild! Maybe just rim's and a tidy up for now. The money you spend now on it could be better used dump it in a term deposit so when your off your P's you have Money + intrest earned to spend on car or buy new car!!! Save now and spend when you will beable to appreciate it more i.e. less limits to what you can do. Naman

I'm with MarioGTR Don't dress up your gtst like a gtr and play “pretends”. It’s like putting a walkinshaw kit on a turbo VL. Nothing wrong with a real walkinshaw nothing wrong with a VL turbo- just don’t mix them! Why not go for something different like that wide style kit previously posted or the Bee*r kit. Be different! Just don’t dress it up to something it is not! You are old enough to have good insurance (over 25) and there are plenty of GTR’s around in VIC. Good luck dude what ever you want!
