  1. ^ +1 Also theres no autofocus on those canon cameras..
  2. Buy the 1000d You will have loads of fun.. post up some pics when you do!!
  3. dont buy a dslr camera coz it has live view Buy it coz you need it.. That is if you wanna get into marco work, astro photography work etc.. Otherwise no point having it. The whole point of slr is too look thru the viewfinder!! heheheh But anyways 1000d is a great entry level camera also
  4. Its the lens. The 50mm f1.8 lens is great for bohek (blur) "Bokeh (derived from Japanese bokeaji ボケ味, "blur") is a photographic term referring to the appearance of out-of-focus areas in an image produced by a camera lens using a shallow depth of field.[1] Different lens bokeh produces different aesthetic qualities in out-of-focus backgrounds, which are often used to reduce distractions and emphasize the primary subject." hope this helps!! The 50mm f.18 is only 120 bucks brand new
  5. Great entry level camera.. 10 mega pixels, self sensor clean, weather proof, 11 point auto focus (WOW), etc etc.. yea comes with sigma lenses.. You have a great variety of sigma lenses to choose from. If you on a budget just get the normal 18-55mm lens.. If you have a spare 300 more or so, get the 17-70mm sigma lens.. Either way great entry level camera ps. forgot to mention it all depends on what you wanna shoot. You can get the twin lens kit with this body also. I think its the 70-300 lens also?? Best advice.. go into a shop and try it out yourself!!
  6. My car before i sold it!! I MISS IT HEAPS nothing artistic.. but wanted you too see my baby hahah
  7. Try it in photomatrix slim I find that photoshop gives weird results with hdr approach.
  8. Gus if your lens cant focus automatically set it to manual and focus that way It looks like xmetal has a 50mm f 1.8 lens. your stock kit lens (18-55mm) can not go wide open at 1.8 and say 50mm - which is what he has done in pic 2. I would suggest you get yourself a 50mm f.18 lens Great for low light work and does great bokeh work Check out my pic in page 3
  9. the first shot does it for me great crop too
  10. Yea try it again and see how you go and post it up for me please
  11. photobucket to edit photos?? you gotta get yourself a real program lol There are some freeware tools out there that can edit photos (even if its simple program to increase contrast, brightness etc)
  12. ^ now thats a cool shot slim Just the sand seems unnatural colour
  13. im sorry slim i don't like that HDR conversion. Just looks like the saturation was increased a lot..
  14. Heya.. nice shots Just a quick suggestion I think shot 32? Try that one again at f5.6 or f8 and see how you go Keep the ISO down to 100.. The colors in the water will look a lot more still and it will have that gloss look. Also i noticed most of those car pics in the day time are set to iso 800? Any reason why such ISO value? Notice how the dog pic is a bit grainy due to being iso 800. Just a suggestion man thats all..
  15. Ah you used photomatrix. Yea i can never do it properly in Photoshop either!! Is photomatrix free?
  16. lol gus i still only see one wheel barrow
