  1. The reason i didnt focus on the house last night was because there were no stairs over the top of it. Also it was a little windy last night so the trees were moving.. so i thought it would be all blury if i was focusing on the tree?? right?? But last night was just a test.. cool cheers will try it again!! btw I like your shot!! Also i didnt understand this bit: use some gels on the tree to colour it or change the WB to make any flouros change it to blue!! Btw what lens are you using? Basti - two planes flew past
  2. Very nice photos dogsum esp the stair trails. Quick question: What lens did you use? Here is my 2nd attempt at it Much better attempt than my first one i must say!! Todays attempt was just to get the settings right etc. Not many bright stars out tonight.. But thought i give it a try before the clouds kicked in!! No editing, just resized and sharpened.
  3. I love this pic!! Shes HOT!!! Lol

  7. you are taking this way to seriously!!
  8. If you can find out if the the remote switch for the 450d is the same as for a 350d, then you can buy mine for like 5 bucks or something!! If it doesn't work, i will give the money back.. Since the 450ds are new im sure they changed the plugs?? But im not too sure!!
  9. Yea its still in the making.. Will try again tonight if the skies are clear!! Hopefully this time it comes out a lot better!! Might try it with my stock kit lens.. I need something wide!! hmmm As for how long the shutter was open for.. well 30 seconds. Once i get it perfect i will share my exact method.. Coz right now its just all trail and error lol
  10. Heres my lame attempt at shooting star trails. Yes i know its not perfect.. im working on it lol.. Also that long line in the middle is the airplane crossing over.. I wonder if my stock kit lens can handle this at 17mm.. I need something wide hmm This was with my 50mm lens.. Will give it another try tomorrow.. Also i need to find the southern Polaris.. hmmm
  11. awesome shot Aaron Im assuming you used took these shots with continuous mode and blended all the photos together? Always wanted to try something similar out!! Nice work man.. keep it up!! love to see more
  12. Bought some live rock fro my fish tank next step is to buy some clown fish (NEMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO)
  13. At my friends pre-wedding dance thingy.. She told me to take some pics for her.. I think this one turned out well!! What you think?
  14. You can see the flare coz you are pointing the camera straight at that light bulb. Also f8 is about right for those night type shots on your stock kit lens. Im assuming you are using stock lens for these shots? Also perhaps try and get the whole car under the light. So there will be no dark spots on the car. Your car is already a dark color. I like shot two the most keep it up!!
  15. Yup going in the bin this weekend.. lol

  20. Stephen quick question dude; what camera and lens are you using? Just curious, thats all!!
  21. No problems mate Looking forward to his next series of shots
  22. Just says on his myspace album: Rolling rig test shots of Mike's R33 GTR. So im assuming he used a rig?
  23. Ok im just on his myspace page. Just realised he has a rig set up in these shots. I wonder how hes taking these photos - if its wireless activation to take photos etc.. Will be interesting to know.. Also i noticed that when its resized on myspace the quality/focus looks better!! EDIT: He has some really good panning shots in his other albums - Tell him great stuff
  24. I agree with tommO No disrespect or trying to be rude, but all these photos are way out of focus. Also way too much sunlight, perhaps try it later on in the day!! But if its his first attempt then i must say its a good try!! Tell him to try it out again. See if he can use an aperture around f4 to get better DOF, focus on the car and pan along. Also try it around 1/60-1/100.. Should work well around there.. Also try center focus point.. Also with these types of shots you don't have to be driving quickly.. Will be interesting to see his next set of shots.. Edit: Ask him to post the EXIF data on these shots.. ta
