I should clarify here that I'm not talking about my mates workshop where they were stolen from. It was the guy who owns the workshop mentioned earlier.
-
And I know the mods don't usually allow bagging of businesses but this guy is a criminal so I think it would be allowed. The guy owns a workshop at Seaford called Mec Tec Performance. Edited by Cubes: Ever so slight edit.

We're 99.99999% sure it's the same guy that did my mates house 2 weeks before his workshop got done so we're not finished with him yet

Yeah he shit himself, and did the old dump and run

Well I'm very happy to report that the wheels have been recovered and it was thanks to a Nissansilvia.com member who supplied me with the information to use as leverage when we paid the certain individual a visit on monday night. Gave him 48hrs to return them or things were about to get real nasty for him and they were dropped off at about 9.30 tonight. So thanks once again guys/gals, just proves that Adelaide is too small to get away with stuff like this.

I've just gotten word that the workshop at Lonsdale where my HR31 Skyline was being stored has been broken into. They have stolen a pair of Weds 18x10 wheels from the rear. These are a very unique wheel and I have not seen any others like them, especially in 4 stud. If anyone has information please let me know asap (anytime of the day or night) on 0411 673 938, a reward for info assisting in their return is being offered.

Sorry about that, there was supposed to be a Z infront of that 31

I have had the fronts changed on my 31 coupe, they simply re-drilled the hubs and slipped R33GTST rotors and calipers on. Had it done at Boostworx. I haven't had the rears done yet but from all the previous discussions on the r31skyline club forums the best way to do them is to get N/A 31 hubs (extremely hard to find) as they are 5 stud and apparently fit straight in.

Just a quick question, I did a bit of a search but didn't come up with what I was after. Is there much difference between the 2 turbo's except for the exhaust wheels? (33 one being ceramic vs the 34 one being nylon) The reason I ask is I'm planning a twin turbo project later on down the track and I have the opportunity to buy a cheap R34 turbo with a busted exhaust wheel. So what I want to know is if I were to replace the exhaust wheels with a steel one would the R33 one be pretty much the same as the R34 one or would I have to source a second R34 turbo to keep things the same? Hope that makes some sort of sense. Cheers in advance for any info.

Except by the sounds of it he has the ones with the internal key which are harder to get off. But as the others have said, the usual way to get them off is to mash a socket onto it and get it off that way. I had to do that on my SS cause it didn't come with the key for the lock nuts when I bought it.
-
Anywhere other than wheelworx to get them? I went there today and they said they aren't doing them anymore. Also tried D1 Garage on my way home but he siad he doesn't like using them so he doesn't sell them. Might try ringing a few of the larger wheel and tyre places today to see what I can find.

It's a bit of a work in progress but ya get the idea. And yes the rest of the car will be getting sprayed in the same blue as the engine bay, just gotta get my widebody kit sorted to fit my rims in properly before it gets painted.

It is definately possible, I bought some 18x10" rims a while ago and they came from Japan with a 225 tyre stretched over them. So a 245 should be a piece of piss to do (compared to a 225 that is)

I have a HR31 Skyline fitted with a RB25DETneo and I'm in the process of having more work done to my car, this includes a custom front entry intake plenum and having the HICAS rear wheel steering locked out. My question is, on the drivers side of the engine bay there is what looks to be a valve sort of thing that is connected to the steering rack and to lines that head off to the rear of the car for the HICAS obviously. Now to the more technically inclined people, seeing as I am getting the hydraulic rams on the rear rack replaced with solid locking bars, would it be safe to remove the valve thing and associated lines from the side of the engine bay and just block up the feed and return holes in the rack. To me it looks as though all this device would do is control how much fluid goes to each of the rams at the rear. Basically the main reason I want to know if it can be taken out is so that there is more workable room for the plenum. I also am using the standard RB25 power steering pump so I'm thinking I should even be able to swap my steering rack with an aus spec one and do away with the entire HICAS system. I also have this posted on the R31 Skyline club but I thought I would try here too to see if anyone has played around with the HR31 HICAS system before.

Couldn't agree more, Mike at MV Autos knows what he is talking about and is reasonably priced too.
