  1. anyone on here with 33 or 34 GTR seats? looking to buy something for track days, but I'm not sure if I'll fit
  2. two a year is being talked about... Last year the club was partly involved with the Bushfire cruise and later ran the SCC. will see if the club's events guys are up for it. BTW, I should have said the club 'rounded up' the donation to $1000 this was also put together post cruise - Youngcare_Info_SCC09_02.pdf
  3. btw, can someone scan & post up the other pages - i missed it as well cheers
  4. busted - my new turbo.... no, it was about $1000. with expenses (renting drive-in, buying snags, drinks, etc) it was a little under 1k, but I'm sure it was rounded to $1000, but I know the rental for the drive-in cost WAY more than I would have liked - we even tried the 'it's for a charity event, but still had to pay a few hundred. anyway Anna would know the exact amounts - I thought she posted this up, sorry!
  5. that's what I was thinking - now that you have pissed them off, bend over while they look for other problems (*read Mods) you may have with your car, etc.

Mate, have a talk to Dan at ERD. he has a good deal on shocks and springs. my suspension was really crap when the car arrived in Oz. In Japan they used lowered springs on standard shocks, which over time totally stuffed the shocks. used to bottom out all the time.
  7. about a month or 2 ago between Chermside and Aspley, I spotted a small metal box sitting in the centre traffic island. It was fixed to the ground (approx 50 x 50cm x ??) and seem to have some type of camera & flash mounted in it. also looked like it was attached to those rubber traffic counter strips running across the road. anyone else seen what I'm talking about? hope like hell they aren't a new type of speed camera. they could hide them almost anywhere.

There are a few S1 factory painted Bayside Blue - early 2000 and maybe late 1999 . my engine bay is dark, but I wouldn't say black and agree, the S2 bar is bloody terrible!! double check yr paint code should be TV2. anyway, looks bloody nice mate, enjoy!

If you are worried about yr injectors, I'd head to EFI Performance. They have a fancy (read expensive) machine that will properly clean injectors, then they'll test all injectors are flowing at the same rate (within x% of your other injectors). If you are planning to run your car at the track, I'd be making sure your fuel delivery is 100%. and getting them to clean/test injectors isn't that much. BTW, I've been told the injector cleaner that you add to your fuel tank isn't that affective.
  10. evenin all. every time I visit the west, there's a bloody speed camera on milton rd or western fwy. are they there almost every day or am I just unlucky? late afternoon, the van parked opp the old milton tennis centre was really well hidden.

see Dan at ERD -- www.erd.com.au he takes care of heaps of skylines in SEQ. also has access to parts at great prices. For Injectors cleaning EFI Performance is just around the corner to ERD. both great workshops - you won't find better!
  14. some interesting info - may be a little out of date... http://www.delonixradar.com.au/queensland/#radarlaser
  15. Shan, thanks for your comments and happy new year not sure why SAU Qld needed a swipe from you on this... SAU QLD members have contributed to this thread, and have attended the Thu night meets. I've even been for ice cream myself, but I wasn't sure where it moved to after BR chapel hill. I'm sure Marc had a good reason for his actions - he's one of the more level headed ppl I've met on SAU. Anyway, this isn't a competition - There will always be loaded of ppl on here holding events (which is great). The club will also hold events, some are member only and but many are open to everyone (approx 80% are open to all). BTW, was good to see Col out at our Drag Day earlier in Dec. Happy New year to you all, and I look forward to ice cream in 2010. Safe travels ppl PS. Of the recent Club events below (in my signature \/ \/ \/ ) only the Tech Session and Christmas Party were member focused events. just in case you were sure about SAU Club events - now back to the ice cream

  18. I've used both Accurate and Fulcrum Capalabah (Nick) - both do great work. Fulcrum has run a Suspension Tech / Info Session for SAUQLD members - we'll probably have another one some time next year (depending on interest). they also take care of suspension on a couple of skylines they run in mountainrunners TimeAttack track series.
