  1. Still yet to arrive
  2. ^^You created that on NFS, didn't you...
  3. That's my old car, yeah. The dude with the tats on his arm bought it, the blonde chick is his partner. The new owner's a top bloke, I'm sure he'd happily chat to you if you asked him about the car. The Civic's gonna be my daily for the time being. Actually the colour scheme is rather similar to the N1 lol.
  4. The one in the link is as rare as rocking horse sh*t. If that's the combo you want (manual, leather, sunroof), then I suggest you organise your finances, FAST.
  5. The boxes actually aren't that bad, but they need 1) regular maintenance and trans fluid changes and 2) a small trans cooler if you're working it hard. Most of the dramas occur when the original Japanese owner thinks "maintenance" is something you pay your ex-wife...
  6. I don't know why, but I actually find that Corona wagon appealing lol
  7. Terry please tell me that you copy-and-pasted that! I got lost after hearing St John had a wart... Awesome stories, guys - thanks for having the guts to share them. It's really interesting to hear your experiences.
  8. I find the whole concept distasteful to be honest. I don't see how celebrating someone being killed is any better than the terrorists' mates celebrating their achievements with the bombing. Before you ask, yes I know people who were affected by it.
  9. I came through just behind you. I live around the corner from there.
  10. lol Chris, if you think fuel economy in a Legnum is bad, try driving a Stagea! Legnums are awesome value for money - unless you want big horsepower, I'd take a Legnum over a Stagea every day of the week. And yes, I've owned both. Quincy, visit www.ozvr4.com - plenty of VR-4 nuts on there.
  11. I was in this....
  12. Civic Type R, but technically I walk to work
  13. I don't care which colour it is, it's damn sexy. Oh how I love BBS LMs...
  14. Not for a fair while yet, but selling the RX-7 will help things move along a bit. Bloody Aussie dollar...
  15. A very different story when your car is sitting on the docks accruing $70 a day in storage costs. Then you do whatever they ask - if you don't, your car never makes it into the country. Simple.
  16. Wasn't my old car? I sold it on Friday, now sporting the new standard "S123ABC"-spec SA plates.
  17. In fairness to the owner, the GTS-R logo was used by a number of aftermarket tuners in Japan who sought to re-create a modern version of the R31 version, and putting an RB26 into a GTS-t would make sense in that regard. It's not an official version, but I suspect the owner genuinely believes it's something more special than what it is, rather than being outrightly deceptive. Super Autobacs is the Japanese equivalent of Autobahn.
  18. Actually I saw a CR-X on the weekend too - Lime green, 15" mags, twin tailpipes...
  19. Seriously, it's getting scary. The only reason I remember these vehicles is that their hideousness is etched on my brain. In the last two days... 1) Circa 1989 automatic Galant, fake WRX bonnet scoop, otherwise stock. 2) Early 1990s Bluebird, automatic, drainpipe exhaust, awful bodykit, stock rims and ride height. 3) Toyota Soarer, silver, with more wings than KFC, some kind of bonnet scoop, and aftermarket 15" wheels. Thankfully I didn't get close enough to it to experience the full horror. 4) Hyundai Coupe with graphics, chrome Tempe Tyres specials, and shopping trolley rear wing. Didn't hear whether it was auto or manual, so I'll presume auto. 5) Mitsubishi Mirage, with a full Cyber bodykit (remember them anyone?) and twin exhausts, automatic naturally. Do the owners seriously keep these cars in the shed over winter??? Or is this normal and I haven't been getting out enough??
  20. Hmmm...may just be the guys at the docks in Kobe?? Either way, they're never in the car when they land here. Whoever's doing it, it would be one hell of a party if the ones collected were all set off at the same time.
  21. Spotted today... Nice R33 S2 on Milne Road Redwood Park with an SAU sticker on the front windscreen. Silver R34 4 door with P plates and what looked like Prodrive rims, following the JMS ute down N E Road. Tough as nails Aussie R31 sedan - blue with front mount and great looking rims, turning off N E Road near the furniture place. Looked sensational.
  22. Yes, but it's outnumbered...
  23. Excellent thread. I'm all for counselling, but to be honest, if you've tried and exhausted some of these options, then you need to really think about whether you need to get out of the relationship together. Reading your first post, my recurring thought was how would we have all responded if you were the female in this situation and your partner was the male? Abuse takes many forms, and from what you've described, and how you've described how you're feeling about life, you've been abused for quite a long time. Time to recognise it for what it is. You may love her, but you also need to love yourself. You'll need to be straight down the line with her, and if she refuses to accept that she has a problem, then you need to have the courage to leave. You'd be amazed at the weight that is lifted off your shoulders. I feel really sorry for guys in this situation - it's very hard for blokes to admit they're being abused for fear that others won't see them as "being man enough". Thanks for having the guts to share your story.
  24. Interesting the number of cars in this thread that are white Here's my favourite.
  25. Already complied and registered
