  1. Was on the news this morning - the lady passenger was pregnant, and the lowlife hit a pole and did the bolt, leaving her there...NISSAN SKYLINE got a mention, too, don't you worry...
  2. There's actually been an RR going through auction in Kobe for the last three weeks - I'll be there looking at it next week, I'll be curious to see what it's making. I'd choose an Evo wagon if it was me, but then again, the Evo wagon may eventually make it's way on to the SEVS list by the time you're ready to bring it back... If you're buying it for your own enjoyment, get the RR, but don't buy it with the aim of making a profit.
  3. Nice car! One owner, aftermarket exhaust and TV/Navi. Reads very nicely.
  4. I didn't do either of them - the Be-Go I can't see much point in personally. The i is an excellent choice for a SEVS car, but I would've waited until it's 18 months were up and done it as used. Might go off and check the release dates now actually. I've got two other applications in apart from the Cube at the moment, but they're hush hush lol
  5. Sorry, seeing this thread is totally off-topic now, seeing "bro" in the above post made me add this in - watched it 50 times and I still piss myself at it...
  6. Very true - rotaries, if they're cheap to buy, are not cheap to own
  7. I'm an import broker who likes cars and doing applications My application came out at somewhere around 35 pages in total, so if they come back asking for more information, I'd be extremely surprised.
  8. I don't trust anyone who can't spell Godzilla correctly either (although even that is a poor translation of the Japanese name, which was "Gojira")
  9. I saw "Doing a 30 litre conversion" and immediately thought of something like this...
  10. Vectra's been gone for a fair while now, mate Replaced by the Epica, which is even worse... If they make it look like the concept car, they're on a winner.
  11. RX-7s are pretty good value in Japan, vs what they fetch here. My only other advice is to take the advice of people who have been importing for a while - the biggest dramas I see are usually caused when people who think they've found "a better way of doing things" than others in the industry. If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.
  12. It's bB, not named after the alcoholic though.
  13. http://www.autoblog.com/tag/Nissan370Z/
  14. lol @ people trying to pin it on Jase It's a manual conversion too guys, in case any of you hear of parts getting around the place - let's hope it doesn't come to that.
  15. If the aftermarket dumps were stuffing around with emissions, then yes they probably would. It's simple case of providing a service that the market wants. Fitting the aftermarket parts once the car has been complied and registered is no different to any other workshop doing the same - the onus is on the owner to make sure they're legal or otherwise.
  16. The basic rules of supply and demand still apply - if there are 3 cars going through auction and 20 people wanting to buy one, it will still sell for a good price, regardless of how low the reserve is...
  17. GT-Rs aren't typical cars. For reference, check the list price on an R34 GT-R back in 1999 and what they're still fetching at auction today, 9 years later. I doubt you'll see a $45K R35 GT-R inside 15 years, if ever, or unless fuel hits $5 a litre suddenly
  18. lol I will be lucky to afford my own...
  19. Actually if you knew how long it was taking to get cars steam cleaned in Sydney, you might not think transporting from Brisbane is such a bad idea...
  20. Interesting comments above! Cheapest mod to do - Nismo clear indicators, front and sides, improves the look of the car 100%
  21. "Capt'n, we have an emergency, it appears that our topic has drifted off course" "Plot a course to get us back on course as soon as possible, Jim"...
  22. Direct Imported listed it when it first came on the market - it has come down in price a fair bit since then too. It's floating around on my site somewhere with the updated price, although I know DI would probably do it for the same money too.
  23. Welcome to the forum, but please consider getting someone to design your logo
  24. Join the end of a very long queue lol - although having said that, one customer was in Japan when I was last time, so he came along and bought a JZX100 at auction with us. It can be done.
