Yeah it was the first thing i noticed. It just looks odd because they are triangular shaped lol. The same triangle shape is there twice as well. But looks like it should be a pretty simple clone job now as the textures are the same pretty much. Heal that sh!t up! I like the 2nd one too, but its cranked up two stops and starting to artifact from pulling it up so much. I think thats as far as i can push it. On my IPS monitor at home, the colour pops really well and its a lot brighter than on my work monitor here. I'll burn the parts of the car down and see what it looks like from there. So hard to choose!

As i've already said, sweet shots matt. Did you accidently clone the same part of the sky (the triangles) multiple times in the 1st shot? Above Duncans car? Hhmmm, i like the second one because of the motion of speed, but i like the 1st ones for the same reason you mentioned. I'll re-edit it and burn the windscreen and bonnet, i forgot to do that. I pulled the car up 2 stops, it seemed to of just went "dark" at the time i took these shots. It was almost 130am when i posted it so i was really tired and just wanted to post it up. Will fix it up tonight!

I need to know which one is better!!! Decide for me!! I'm thinking the 1st one. Ps - Nice shots from the All Ford day
-
Looks pimp!!!!!! This photo gave me the sh!ts getting rid of all the powerpoles, so i decided to post it here, to admire it...baha only kidding.
-
Wow.... That is a freaky eye!!! The 1st photo looks like the blue water is too saturated a bit? One more from me. 3 hrs in post, it deserves to be in here too!
-
Sweet shots Jay! Wish i got to take shots all day whilst working haha. Nick - Turned out awesome! This is when Evan was painting for you wasn't it? Post up the silver 32 shots where you were painting! Either way, great job!

Thanks Sidd and Jay Yep, its a new feature of CS5. Youtube it man!! You don't know what your missing out on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Of course you have to touch up with the healing brush and clone tool, but my god does it make it much much easier when matching tones. I find it struggles pretty hard around cluttered power lines e.g. Power pole with lots of lines branching off it. But to clone out the single lines, long brush strongs help alot. It seems that when they are close it picks up the other lines and clones them back in. Frustrating in a way, but i suppose if i use it more i will learn how to get around this!

Wow didn't realize she was at 39 weeks! What an exciting way to be born though (if it happened). Even if your leather did suffer! The See through bonnet thing is just multiple exposures combined into one. So you take one with the bonnet up, then take one with the bonnet down and layer it in photoshop and then use a layer mask to make it "see through". Can't wait to see some shots of your car painted Brian, i'm sure it will look amazing as always.

I thought we were hitting up Homebush?

FST513*** lol. Massive thanks to Nick for being our chaffeur for the better part of half a day. Thanks to Brian & Partner, Steve-O, Nick, Duncan and i have forgotten your friends name - Sorry! For coming out and sticking around for so long. I see Bri-dawg is watching with eager eyes! Won't be long mate! After i play touch i'll post up a shot of your car. Here's some of mine, i hope you like them! 1. 2. 3.

Why thankyou Sidd! Maybe you should write back to my emails at work!! Hahahaha.

I coulda sworn i saw this on NS and then now its on here and i was all tripped out... Anyway. I like the photos too. Although i don't think shutter speed is the problem. Unless they are going really really slow, or you caught them when they were using the handbrake, looks like something around 1/100th or so? How are you focusing and how are you panning them? Keep at it, you've definitely found the spots with some amazing angles and you have the eye for the shot, would love to see some more

Almost matt! Lol Owen, thats correct as well. On my work monitor i can't even see the power lines in the first "before" shot, but there were about 6 power lines spanning the length of the photo. I really enjoy content fill-aware for doing this and then touching it with with cloning/healing brush. Opened it as a smart object and dropped the exposure 2 stops for the sky. Same as Above for the cars, except added about 0.70 of a stop. Same as above for ground except added 1.15 of a stop. Same as above for the trees and grass except about 0.60 of a stop. And then added some contrast, got rid of the power pole, the 60 sign, got rid of cr@p in Duncans window in the background, burnt the bonnets cause they were so friggin bright and sharpened and resized. You all win.... Matt for 1 days amusement/pleasure! Sweet painting shots Matt, they turned out awesome. Eric - I don't think anythings as wide as your fat bertha whale hahahaha
-
Lol that's some epic posting there Nick! If it wasn't for you the rolling shots wouldn't of happened. Massive thanks goes to you. I hope your shots turned out awesome as well. Your always behind the scenes and rarely get to use your camera, so i hope you enjoyed the light painting sesh! Here's something i haven't done before EVER! Before.... After.... See if you can see what has changed Oh and one light painting shot!

Pr0n shot Matty! Hahahaha. Funny. Crank it up really really loud What about if you grabbed a frame from the video not the actual photo it takes every 2 seconds? That would have the wheels spinning etc... wouldn't it? And yep - The Go pro definitely smokes my results. I wasted all my money on photography gear, i coulda just bought a gopro!
-
Haha. I didn't get home until 145. Had to have a shower because i was so filthy from being in the back of Nicks car with fumes and dust spraying my face. Awesome, looks like some beasts too! Is your mate Nick on the forums?
-
Steve-O - How the hell did you have the energy to go on this cruise after our late finish last night!? Crazy man.
-
Thanks Eric Matt got some sweeeet shots as well, i donno when he will post up, but check the shot on his flickr. I'd link it, but that would be copyright, right? Haha. I reckon that is sweet, from a dedicated video camera, especially a go-pro. Did you sort through the audio? Haha. Looking forward to the BTS video if you create one Oh and Falcon - So jealous of NY. Would love to go there one day, i could spend years taking photos there!
-
Sneaky Peakie from Yesterday. This was so under-exposed, i'm extremely happy with the 7D after this shot! Was around 1.5 stops under because somehow i flicked to my C1 setting lol.
-
I think this is a record monthly photo thread. Good work!
-
Obviously in the ocean! Didn't you see his toddler pic snorkelling
-
Just use a layer mask and crank up the blacks to see if there is any detail there. If there is any detail in the sky, just do a single HDR of the sky and mask it in. Or you could use a gradient. Up to you lol. I like both photos, i think the 2nd photo a CPL could of really helped. Or an ND even and a longer exposure. Keep it up mate, all about practice! P.S. Matt - I do have steady hands but thats not the reason i turn it off
-
I don't use IS when panning remember

Nice man, shaping up to be a good website. Few typo's though. "Portrature is supposed to be spelt Portraiture". Now work on your SEO!
