I know that about 3yrs ago when I did my first trackday i realised my skyline had way more grip and better handling than i ever expected.... this gave me heaps more confidence on the road to go faster.

All the info is in that thread I created, I actually missed last nites meet (shock horror) but i was on my death bed ill so couldnt find out anymore detail but its all happening next week anyway.

Nothing mentioned as yet i guess it will be a wait and see exercise. The problem with having an "over 12sec" wed nite and "under 12sec" friday nite is the wed nites would get zero crowd coz nobody wants to see billy bob race his mums BA.

Haven't read the thread but this morning on the 'Kyle and Jackie'O Show' the news reporter mentioned this p-plate issue and Kyle turned around and abruptly said "From now on everytime you mention a p-plater speeding or having an accident I want you to tell the public the 10 other old people or parents that do exactly the same thing... its not fair that we all single out the p-platers" Well said i think, imagine the 6pm news mentioning 1 p-plate accident and 10 soccer mums smashing their 4wds into road signs.

He smashed into the back of Webbers car on the first corner. Webbers entire rear wing disappeared (out of the race) and Rosbergs front wing and suspension were damaged... not pretty on that final kink before the main straight.

Well it was announced last meeting (18/10/2006) that WSID will soon be starting the off street meets on both wednesday and friday nights. The first week of this will be Wed 1/11/06 and 3/11/06. Wednesdays: 6pm-10pm Burnouts at 9pm $15 spectate $45 competitor entry Fridays: 6pm-Midnight No burnouts $20 spectate Think its still $45 to compete dont quote me on that. Hopefully this will bring back the more serious non-fulltime drivers like the 100's of Pac cars hiding in Sydney garages and plenty more 9sec v8's. Also having the event on friday night will allow people from Canberra->Bathurst->Newcastle to attend because they can knockoff work early and not have to worry about being home in time for an early start the next morning. I'll be going to both Wed+Fri nite for the first few weeks to scope it all out although no doubt Friday nights will be the nite to go.

I hate F1 weekends, you guys always start the discussion early and I have to just avoid this thread until after the race, I refuse to watch a race until i've watched the qualifying as that's what creates the picture for the entire weekend. I really hate Ch10's coverage for the F1, I wish that Ch10 (or even Ch7) would just use the entire iTV footage for the Qualifying and Race meetings without cutting back to the current Ch10 commentary. They cut over to the iTV broadcast literally 2sec after the race started, they cut the beginning and end of interviews just so Mr Diffey could get his piece in. Even SpeedTV in America has better coverage despite their silly accents grr! I have a PWR intercooler on my GTR (was already on it when I bought it) and the temps were always nice and stable even in 35c heat. I deliver PWR radiators and oil coolers on a weekly basis to a radiator bloke in my area and the weld quality is great and they always look tops.

Definitely a commercial decision. Teams didn't spend millions, fans didn't travel 1000's of km's and drivers didn't race 158 laps only to finish doing 60km/h behind the ugliest sounding car the planet has ever produced. I'll have the entire Top10 + Race + presentation on 4 dvd's by tomorrow arvo

Probably a silly question but im guessing when a rebuilt engine is installed back into the car that you then tow your car to the dyno tuner because for some people that could be a 50km drive which could destroy the engine due to wrong tune or driving incorrectly. ?
