  1. Try a solid $15-16k.
  2. Do a search on 'hicas' for the 4ws query. The power level sounds about right, im on 185-190rwkw @ 12psi with the same mods. I still think it might be abit rich, maybe it would be a nicer priced car (depending on condition of course) if it was around $21k (being a '94).
  3. In that case being for the missus you could save even more money. Quite easily get a stock car (maybe air filter and exhaust at the most) for $16-18k (94-96 model). A $30k window price for a '97 (last year model of the R33 GTS-t's) is absolutely outrageous. I'd suggest spending an hour in the 'For Sale' section and your eyes might open slightly wider.
  4. $25k is abit on the rich side especially since it is stock although it is from an importer/dealer so you may be able to talk them down afew $k. For $25k i'd want something in absolutely mint condition, not a single mark or scratch making over 220rwkw before i'd even open both eyes at it but then again you may want a totally stock car. Save your money and buy a '94-'96 for around $16-20k that already has a sound system, exhaust and maybe wheels etc. For example my '95 has 100,000km on it and is slightly modified and I want $19k. To take your '97 from stock form to where my '95 is (mods) would cost you a solid $8k ($25k + $8k = $33k for an R33 GTS-t = *ouch*) and it's still only pushing 190rwkw. If I had $25k to play with i'd be looking at a '91-'93 R32 GTR or a heavily modified R33 GTS-t with all the work already done.
  5. Yum, extremely nice !!
  6. Do they stain black?
  7. I've actually put standard nissan pads back in the front since my last trackday just for the short trips around town. I find it takes a solid 2 good stops (60-80 to 0km/h) to get the RB74's up to temperate and biting. In regards to the 'grinding'. Yes I think I understand what you are saying however I only notice that when they are up to temperature and at low speeds (<50km/h to 0km/h). It's just when the pad is really biting and gripping which I don't consider a bad thing. I have 2 bottles of Castrol SRF600 (or something like that) in use and yes I find that the more I punish my brakes (RB74 pads) the better and more solid they get. I found that on the track when i'd back off for a lap or 2 just to let the temperatures drop my pedal would go very spongy but as soon as I got back up to speed the pedal came good and solid again (DBA4000 Slotted front and back, front braided lines, brand new master cylinder, brace). I spoke to RaceBrakes after my last trackday and they said that they have a pad available that is 1 step above the RB74's for use on the tracks which I think I might get before my next trackday.
  8. I put some on the grass, dad nearly killed me a week later when he found out...
  9. Last time I had my RB74's in I did 90+ laps at Wakefield Park and absolutely hammered them and I wouldn't say that my wheels were very dirty at all for the amount of braking I did that day. I'm using the DBA4000 Slotted and they don't squeel at all (but they do after the trackday, think I need to re-bed them in).
  10. That's a nice time considering the 60ft, i'd be very happy.
  11. Don't waste your time and money with buying 2nd hand stock nissan coils or gluing them up. I had/have buggered coils so I bought 2 other 2nd hand 1's ($30ea) and it felt ok for a month or so. Then I araldited them all up ($10 and took me a week to do it coz it takes a solid 24hrs for each coil to dry) and they were good again for a month. Now they are up shit creek again so I bit the bullet and ordered some Splitfires from Nengun (about 3wks ago). Still waiting for them to arrive (damn xmas/new years holidays) but it has cost me $615 delivered and atleast I know that when I fit them they will all be working 100%. Edit: Be wary of Ebay (I know I know everybody says that) however I nearly lost $700 on there a few months back when I won an auction and the guy didnt have the item and didnt want to post them to me. Took me a month of heartache to get my money back.
  12. Exactly, they (and other shops) work on these similar cars everyday and know pretty much straight away what direction they should be heading in, it's not like it would be 100% guess work for every single car (even though engine to engine would vary in the same model cars) but not enough to require $1,200 worth of "labour".
  13. How long did they spend on it.. 9-5 2 days straight? I know where they (CRD) could stick $1,200.
  14. nice find !
  15. Well we did have the old eastern creek track before that which was only 400m away from the new track
  16. argh if only it was legal !!
  17. You won't need to touch the internals for just a hiflow (which are capable of 250-260rwkw with the right supporting components). Their is about a thread a week on 'hiflows' so do a search for GCG. Also take a look (within the GCG threads) for info from 'Sydneykid' about his R34GTT with a hiflowed turbo.
  18. Whoar !! I seen this car cruising around in Braddon (Summernats) last year and it was certainly a very horny car ! Good luck with the sale
  19. ..and the countdown begins...
  20. Err no it's not normal unless they have about 20% tread left
  21. How much are these upgraded wastegate actuators?
  22. The next event is 29/12/2004, I won't be ready for this. The burnout comps last nite (Boxing day) was fanmatastic !!
  23. they are a straight fit into GTS-t's
