If the race started without problems their would have been no safety car on lap 2 until Cam's car was removed.

I realise the tilt tray was there but if he rolled back as far as possible, then the tray driver got in and moved out of the way cameron could have backed his car out of the way enough for the officials to then do what they please with it and let the race start without any problems.

If Cameron was a touch smarter he would have pulled up along side the wall and just rolled it back into the driveway rather than trying to do a 3 point turn.

My comments on page 2 were in reference to plucking say the Winfield GTR out of retirement in its original 1990-1991 form and placing it on the grid of the 2007 Bathurst 1000 still with the same brakes, tyres, fuel etc as what it was using back then.... not putting a 2007 spec Brembo brake package on it along with R34 N1 turbo's (they didn't exist in 1991) and all the other gadgets that are available today. It's already been mentioned that the laptimes of the GTR back then are about 5-6sec slower than what was done this year at Bathurst so unless it was raining the 2007 V8SC would smack the living hell out of a 1991 prep'd GTR (if their were no safety cars the GTR would be down by atleast 5 laps). Hell even Jack Perkins would beat Jim Richards in the Winfield GTR.

Just make sure you buy a brand new jap lightened flywheel...... dont lighten your factory flywheel because i'll happily post up pics of a JB clutch and stock flywheel after 40+ 8000rpm launches.

1991 GTR vs 2007 V8SC, sorry but the GTR would get absolutely smashed. However if the GTR's rules were relaxed just a tiny bit it would be an interesting race (even if it was 100% dry).

Upgrade the flywheel, my old JB clutch was absolutely fantastic!

Yeah with about 10 laps to go I had the waxing pot out and plugged in but put it away with about 5 laps to go Lowndes: Well done you did nothing wrong all day. Courtney: Strong car but never looked like winning. Johnson: Close but no cigar, but atleast DJR will be around next year now hehe. Murphy: Podium would have been nice but a good result considering your last few years. Ingall: Sucked in dickhead. Skaife: Have the speed and reliabilty but luck just isn't on your side lately. Common problem in the RB boxes, some redline lightweight shockproof can mask the problem but it's just a wearing gearbox. My 89 gtr has new bearings and syncro's and doesn't crunch at all.

Is the wiring chopped or has everything just been unplugged? If chopped just buy a 2nd hand complete wiring harness that will make it much easier to fix and probably only take an afternoon of your time to fit.

Tander/Kelly will grab the lead on about lap 10 and Skaife/Kelly will just sit 2-3sec behind until the first batch of pitstops. Frosty will run wide in the marbles sometime in the first few laps and let the HRT/HSV pair through. Murphy will drop back to about 12th but be back in the top 5 in the last 30 laps when it all counts. Oh, they aren't my opinions... i've already downloaded the race off the internet and watched it !

In a perfect race it would be Tander, Skaife, Lowndes however bathurst always throws up a few curve balls so im going to say Lowndes, Murphy, Skaife. Just heard on the radio that Steven Johnson just smashed going up the mtn straight in this mornings practice session caused by a rear brake issue.
