I'm planning Spokey Dokies and streamers for my handle bars.... :bahaha: Nah.. Just planning to drive it for a while the way it is. It's going to be nice just having a car, so i'm not going to send it somewhere else and have to part with it again for at least a few weeks yet... Might take it down to Hills in a few weeks for a service...

Has anyone heard of any common problems with the acceleration and/or braking system in R33's. I have a '96 series 2 and my Dad recently nearly wrote it off. The car accelerated and the brake pedal was hard and as a result, rammed up the arse of another car. The only reason i'm asking now is because Dad spoke to a friend of mine (a mechanic) who said that he vaguely remembers something being said or sent around from Nissan Japan about a common problem with throttle/vacuum/braking system (sorry 0% mechanical knowledge) or something like that... Has anyone else heard of this sort of problem before, or the suposed notice from Japan???

Hey Guys, I am the owner of 'Nathan's '96' In defence of the 'auto' decision... It didn't take me long to find this car. Exactly what I wanted and in pristine condition. If you find exactly what you want, you don't have to wait for it from Japan and you don't care whether it's auto or manual... enough said. I was really lucky finding this one. The guys at Northshore were really good, but they don't know how to detail a car... That's really the only gripe. They even told me, after my dad nearly wrote my car off a few weeks ago, that I didn't need to worry about warranty etc. if it takes a while to repair and that if I needed something repaired under warranty and couldnt make it to Manly, i could get some quotes closer to home and they would probably cop the bill. On the accident subject, have any of you guys heard of that happening to any other skylines? IE car accelerating and brake pedal hard (not able to brake). I suppose you don't hear of many people around with autos... I can post the pics if you want....
