Alex, start the motor then unplug the coilpack one by one, if the idle haven't changed then it's faulty By idle change, I mean a working coilpack should make idle rough if you unplug it.

Thanks for that but, is error on import approval or mistake by Canberra put it on wrong year pretty common during pre-SEVS days? The VIN on said 33 isn't 6U900xxxx it's 6T91 thingy hence my curiousity, what sparked it when I ran it thru Vicroads check and FAST (VR listed it as '98 whereas on FAST, it's 96).

Just got a message from the seller, he doesn't seem that keen but told him I'll be there... Shan, is it pretty common with pre-SEVS cars? Just want to be sure before I go stupid and buy it.

Nah, that isn't what I meant, I were saying the car was complied as '98 model when the actual chassis is in fact a '96 model, not sure if I can live with it. Since you don't have the Professors on, no thanks. Haven't had the chance to look at grey 33 in woop woop, may do that this weekend.

The 33 I liked is in fact a 1996 (Compliance plate said '98, green plate pre-SEVS btw), should I steer away from it or not even though it isn't under finance or stolen or write-off register?

Yeah, also it's all down on what suspension, driveline you have. Too many variables.

Yeah cos it don't have a transfer case, extra tailshaft and diff, also some extra metal to carry around.

Just looked at 300rwkw R33 gtst (turbo is Blitz K5-660) goes pretty hard, in coming days I'll contact the mob who built it as the motor is forged (seen the receipts). Noticed couple of things, there's a sensor on inlet pipe (next to BOV which is blocked) and pink label afm (it's R33 S2 and running on Power FC), hence my curiousity.
