Haha I was pretty rapt about the flames and pity I had diesel powered form of transportation to carry this thing home, was a fun trip. Your 32 is pretty neat, done anything to it? Cheers Grant

Hey Mick, The towing bill was $600, there will be another one soon-ish but won't be as expensive as the first one. My new mode of transportation... I hope I get it sorted before next cruise or 2 so gotta 'lighten' the bank balance, damn GT-R. But I had fun over the weekend though. Cheers Grant

BTW, your friend (forgot his name but he have a tattoo on his left arm), I'd like to say thanks to him for lending me charger for my iphone. Also I forgot, many thanks to Wayne for organising this great cruise, I've enjoyed the cruise. Cheers Grant

Yeah, I just talked to my mum, she said RACV would allow tow to Apollo Bay then wait for couple of days to have it towed to desenation of my choice. It was my first breakdown far away from my home, first thing I wanted was my GTR tucked into my garage (it is now). Hey, did you help me on rocker cover thing? If so, thanks for that. Cheers Grant

Me too! If it's what Peter suspected, perfect time for turbo upgrade - the perfect excuse! Cheers Grant

Ali, Did you got my SMS about the tool kit? It's in my boot now, let me know when you want to collect them. Thanks, I do hope it's minor. And I really like your CF vinyl wrap on pillars, interior bits. Cheers Grant

Paul, Quite a black smoke coming out of exhaust, Peter reckons it's exhaust manifold gasket - Peter and I talked to Shane (VSPEC) about it, he had similar problem but won't know for certain until I get this thing to Status. I haven't installed the triple plate clutch yet if it's what Peter suspected, I'll put them in along with HKS 2510s I've got sitting in garage along with Power FC etc. Pete and me waited for about 2 hours - wasn't fun when there aren't anything good around! Will keep you all posted. Cheers Grant

About roadside assist, when Dave (sarumatix) rang RACV, they said they won't tow it further away from Apollo Bay for some reason, I asked my dear mother to ring RACV, she got the same answer. Besides I doubt RACV would put the GTR on tilt tray with care considering mine is a 'bit' low. So, it was awesome weekend Peter and I has enjoyed ourselves (except for waiting 2 hours for tow truck to arrive!). Will update what I'd broke on the thread I made in VIC forums. BTW, Citywide FTW, Chris does really understand low cars. Cheers Grant

Peter who tagged along with me reckons it's exhaust manifold gasket, so will need to have a chat with Trent @ Status tomorrow if possible to find out more. Yeah my bank balance is going to cop quite a beating soon... I've just got hit by 'GTR tax hike!'

Hi all, My day trip to the cruise has become a overnighter. So I'm writing this thread to give my thanks to everyone who have helped me on this debacle of my money pit. Firstly, I'd like to say many thanks to the following members of this wonderful club; - John (ssxricho) for telling me not to drive home like I originally planned - truly wise move. Also the group I was going to cruise home with for stopping to check on me. - Wayne, for organising tow truck from Jack who sent his father to come and pick me, my friend Peter and my broken GTR. - Dave (sarumatix) for trying his best to try get RACV to organise a tow (they won't go further than Apollo Bay for some reason) and booking a motel room for me in advance. Also helping me diagonise the damn thing. - Leon for offering me his car to get trailer which I politely refused and don't feel bad about me. - Hamish for telling me the bright side of this (and your girlfriend which I forgot her name for her pity and a 'performance' which was very amusing!) also cheers for the drinks. The following people who also helped me when they shouldv'e enjoyed the night and relaxing after a long day; - Ali - Alan - Charles (for getting carby cleaner and tools if these were yours?) - Ron I think there's many more but couldn't remember now - feel free to remind me. To these people and their companion, I'd like to express my thanks to you all for me stealing the 'show'. I'd like to say thanks for Charles and Wanzi (what was your name btw?) for giving me and Peter a lift to/from town this morning. I also would like to say thanks to Chris (Jack's father - JAGR33) for towing me home from a place with vague mobile reception! Lastly, I'd like to thank my friend Peter who I asked to tag along with me for this adventure which turned into a interesting weekend which I won't forgot for such a long time! So, I'll keep you posted on what is going on with my money pit, tomorrow, I'll try to have a chat with Trent @ Status. Cheers Grant p.s. Ali, I have the tools in my boot now, let me know when you want it back, once many thanks for helping me and using your tools.

Hey, Pity I didn't make it to end of stage 1 due to my GTR decided it like to spit black smoke (I'm seeing mechanic tomorrow about this). I ended up going through this road by tow truck and $600 poorer! Many thanks to John (ssxricho) for telling me not to drive home, I made it to the lodge safely and this black smokeshow sure did attract people! So, what a cruise I had and it was my first! Cheers Grant

How Much Can I Make With Stage 1 Gtr34 Mods
Count Grantleyish replied to Longz's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
PFC 'L-Jetro' retains AFM and will accept range of AFMs such as Standard to Z32 units. PFC 'D-Jetro' deletes AFM and use 2 MAP sensors on the inlet plenum - plenum will have to be removed and 2 holes drilled for the sensors to slot in. For your power goal, get L-Jetro as it's pure 'plug and play' no piss farting around - you can even install it yourself in 30 minutes. There are couple of units up for grabs on FS section of this forum. D-Jetro unit is $1,900 to purchase then you'll need to pay for plenum removal and drilling so that is $$$ job. Should you crave for more power when standard AFM decide to maxed out, just buy a pair of Nismo AFMs for $900 and it's 'plug and play' so saving lot of money in labour. 250kw at wheels, EBC isn't needed, just take out the boost restrictor off (will give you the boost pressure rated on actuators which is 14psi - located on drivers side of the engine bay, next to fuse box), decent quality panel air filter, a pair of cam gears and PFC + Tune (seeing you've already got exhaust). Preventive maintaince such as coilpacks is a good idea (have read that few 34's have coilpacks failed), I wouldn't know if worth getting yellowjacket thing over decent brand as Splitfires. Hope it helps with your desire for more power. -
Hi all, As title states that I'm in need of stock suspension, doesn't matter if it' standard or v-spec. It must be in RW condition (complenating on selling the R). I'm in Melbourne so prefer Melbourne sellers as they're a bit of bugger to post! PM me or SMS me on 0430 129 511 if you have one and want to flog it off. Cheers Grant
