Sorry for bumping an old thread
pet vl, did you find a cause for your high oil pressure? I have a similar setup in my 25/30 but with a 25det pump and on the dyno I am seeing 8.1bar of oil pressure through a run. Oil temp is 82. I am using 10w60 edge

Hi Borci88, who made your brackets? if yourself, what did you make them out of?
-
that manifold Lithium posted is mine and was built by SInco in NZ, its going on a RB30 with a 8375 on it.
Mike from Sinco has made that manifold design for years and never had any issues. i went that route for cost vs performance. there is no proof that i have seen that shows twin gates will work any better than my 66mm gate setup like that.

any updates on how the tuning and cert process got on?

What springs are you using when going directly onto the plug?

who built it for you? i know of a RB25 R32 in wellington that runs a Masterpower R595 making 360rwkws on E85 with a massive powerband. don't know much about the GT37.

thats a good increase over the old setup are you still running the Type B cams?
ps damn you.. i really want mine going now. 3L and VCT should be fun in RWD only

Really good man, I could nearly leave it as is and be happy haha
I was loading up the engine the other day in 4th at 60km/h and it was making possitive pressure by around 2k
haha i don't see that happening
wow sounds like the 8375 likes the bigger displacement. is the new engine 2.8 or 2.9?

nice work Joey, hows it feel to drive round even on the run in tune?

when i was looking for an extended sump no one would provide pictures of their baffling and trap doors. i guess they want to keep their design secret for fear of people copying them.
i have seen some of Race Fab's work and its top notch so would assume their sump will be the same for what its worth.

is it best for the sump return to be on the same side of the divider as the filters?
-
Thanks Screamer. That doesn't look like something I want going into oil. Have you had any analysis done on that to see what it’s made up of? What run in did you do on the fresh engine out of curiosity?

I just got my oil test back after running about 300L of E85 through my RB26 with 400awkw. (Stock motor with 50,000kms on it).
Tests had less water in the oil than when I was just running 98.
wow awesome, thanks for that reply. guess i will be going with the two line option.

Hi people,
i have a question regarding catch can setups, i have put two -12 fittings on the drivers side of sump as high as possible with the intention of running one to the top of the catch can and the other to the bottom of the "strained" side of the can for a drain.
my question, is it safe to run this setup when using E85, i have read that E85 will do nasty things to oil and the vapour out of the breathers has a heavier water content than regular gas.
also nice pics GTRPSI and SSM
cheers.

very nice start, and very similar specs to my build but more aggressive cams (mine are Tomei PonCams) , what balancer and turbo are you planning on running?
-
does anyone have any pictures of the inside of their catch can? it would be good to see what chambers and fillings people have used when doing their catch cans.
-
what springs are people using when doing the CoP mod with the LS2 coils?
-
Hi Ben, i was hoping someone has a pic of how and what bits they used for T'ing into the turbo oil return.
and Kiwi i have one of Franklin's VCT feed kits. nice bits of kit
-
do people have any pictures of how they ran their VCT oil returns on R33 RB25 heads? also a list of bits they used?
cheers.

was the rotational idle just for sound or is there a functional reason for it, from what i know about it, its normally used for anti-lag,
mine is a while away, it was a simple RB20 build till that gave up the ghost, now it's getting a RB30 with those cams and some other bits.
so you don't find it a hassle taking the flares off anytime you want to get in the back of the car?

Yeah I have an external vct for the front. Center feed is blocked and rear feed is either 1.25 or 1.5, can't remember the exact.
