  1. Hi, I've just purchased a Super HICAS controller for my R32, as I shipped it from Japan the instructions are in Japanese.. Just wondering if anyone could roughly translate, just the basics (like which wires they are talking about). Thanks if anyone is keen, I'd really appreciate. Super Hicas basic instructions
  2. My 32 has twin blitz blow off valves, which are perhaps a lot more audible than I would like.. see, Adelaide is known as the defect state.. and I can't afford to refit the entire car back to standard if I get caught. Q) how loud (if any noise) are the standard gtr blow off valves? considering I have twin pod filters.. it sounds pedantic, but the nazi cops love seeing imports to fill their duty quotas.. and if they hear any light 'swooof' they'll slap a sticker on my car for a full inspection. As unfortunately is the way here; your guilty till proven innocent. If you want, check out the outstanding ‘regency experiences’ thread by Steve in the Adelaide section to see what we face.
  3. As mentioned it that forum.. I've already ordered an electronic HICAS controller from GRID in Japan. I just hope it sorts out the problems as effectively as physically locking it up.
  4. Hmm.. I'm finding that in my R32 as well. I recently bought my car about a month or two ago.. and it has an aftermarket steering wheel (not a momo, but similar shape and size). However the hicas warning light only comes on sometimes when going over 70kpm.. and strangely I had a wheel aligment done on Friday and car still pulls to the left at low speeds.. not sure if hicas is prematurely just being weird!
  5. If you don't want to pay for the article.. just do a search in google for 'Godzilla Tamed'.. for some reason it has indexed the full article, so full access is yours.
  6. Ok apparantly the link doesn't work once pasted.. though just do the godzilla tamed google search and full access is granted. GTRman1992, this is a taken from the last paragraph of the article.. perhaps you missed it?: "It's hard to believe, but the electronic mods have made more difference to the handling of the GT-R than any other suspension modifications I have ever made to a car. And that includes the changing on previous cars of wheels, tyres, sway bars, springs, dampers, bushes - the lot. The difference simply cannot be overstated. And I might add that now the cat's out of the bag, a number of GT-R owners who had previously told me how wonderfully their cars handled have modified their torque split control system..." Check it out guy's, some interesting points are made.
  7. To access the DIY ATTESSA Torque controller article go to www.autospeed.com/A_0060/article.html or just type: godzilla tamed in google and you should be able to access the full version
  8. Hi, the car Hippy is talking about is mine. I've just ordered a Super HICAS electronic locking kit from GRID in Japan http://www.grid.co.jp/en/prod/prod7.htm Should take out the unexpected twitches when on the limit. I hope the package is as reliable as physically locking the system, has anyone had any experience with this gizmo? Sounds interesting about retrofitting either the R32 Attessa-Pro from the V-spec models (If you could ever find one) or a v-spec 33/34 attessa system. I recall reading somewhere in HPI or Zoom that apparently the controller in the attessa (non pro) monitors data @ 100 cycles per second, where as the attessa-pro is much faster at 400 cycles.. does anyone know how much of a difference this would make?
  9. Just recently, my R32 gtr every so often displays the ABS and the 4WD warning lights on the dash.. and when so, I know the ATTESSA system is definitely disabled and I"ve only got torque going to the rear wheels. Has anyone experienced this problem before or know how to rectify it? I don't know why it has all of a sudden started to randomly do this, hot weather? ..I'm clutching at straws and have no idea. Perhaps a fuse is loose? But for both systems to go down suggests a computer problem. I am running a Microtech MTX-12 ECU.. and having only recently bought the car a few months ago I'm not aware if this is a piggy back sytem or outright ECU. Help please!?
