  1. What does the diff cradle kit do? (and please don't say "cradles the diff" )
  2. I know it's hard to get 500hp out of a Honda, but it's not even stretching a GTR, so I just can't get excited about it.
  3. Gatchaman!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also known (in its extremely lame English-dubbed incarnation) as Battle of the Planets, or G-Force.
  4. yep, I think the 1390kg (for the auto - manual's 1360) is the dry weight, so with fluids, fuel and you, it's waaaay more. And yeah, it's 184kW, not 187
  5. from that NissanPerformanceMag interview: ________________________________________________ NPM: Have you had the chance to Dyno your car? C.L. No, but according to MotoRex, it made about 500hp without the nitrous. In my opinion, it's more like 440 or so. ________________________________________________ woohoo - 500 whole horsepower? All at once???????? From an R34 GTR??!?!?!?!?! Amazing. We'll all be well impressed with that. I'm sorry to be a downer, but I just can't get myself excited about a street-racing movie starring a GTR with 500 hp. It wouldn't even get a look-in at a Japanese "light-tune' street meet. That said, I enjoyed the first movie, but I think I'll wait till this one comes out for rental.
  6. Well, coming from a medical background, I can tell you that HSV stands for the Herpes Simplex Virus - commonwhores are a sexually transmitted disease Also, HRT makes me think not of Holden Racing Team, but of Hormone Replacement Therapy, which I guess they need
  7. Rev210, I'm glad to see you get a better response than you did on the SDU forum. That was rather sad - conjured up memories of when I posted my dyno results; same dyno as everyone else uses, but nobody wanted to believe it. It seems if you get something better than others they don't want to knnow about it. As I said in the "other" thread: Go the whale!!
  8. I definitely prefer the lack of noise, but I had to put the pod back on because the car was so sluggish with the standard box. Granted that was totally standard, and as you say Predator, modifying the standard box and using a higher-flowing panel filter may work about as well. Easier to just chuck in a pod though I reckon. Pity about the noise - although my wife loves it (hoon-girl )
  9. In terms of performance, even an unshielded pod is better than the standard airbox. I drove my car with each, back to back on the same day. Yukk! to the airbox. I do want to shield the pod, but it's not urgent, as I don't even notice significant heatsoak in slow bumper-to-bumper traffic, except on really hot days (then again, you are in Australia....) The legal thing is a bit of a hassle tho'. I guess there's nothing else for it
