not necessarilly! can be negotiating - that guy works wonders he does! furthermore i'm (also importing a) toyota soarer myself, and it's not the WAIT that i don't like it's the constant questions from my gf "why haven't you found a car you want" "has the car left port?" "have you heard if the car's on a boat yet?" "does the skirt suit me?" bla bla bla... haha this must be an exciting time for you man! i would love to see how this turns out!

jeepers man... sounds like you've fallen on a bed of roses?? wait ...is that the right saying?? ok try again sounds like you were taken to the top floor and thrown off a building THEN landed on a pile of pillows to clarify - sounds like things COULD have been really bad but after all is said n done they're gonna be FINNNEEEE mate!!! in other words it sounds like they (just kidding i know i made my point haha) but yeah, as kristian said... if you're happy with the car and it's still decent then you can't really be too upset!!! car looks good to me! regarding klm... you can always cross ref the VIN in J with shaken recordings... to see if they're genuine, but yeah - you seem like a kinda smart dude that knows that the number on an ODO is - just some numbers really... unless it's over 250K haha but as for the "swapsies" theorum to do that... would mean the dealer would need to source a car that is FOR SALE, negotiate, purchase a series 3 r33 GTR, in silver, no bodykit, in great condition with stock wheels, everything the same as the "bait" car i mean something common say a silver V35 - this would be easy to acheive... however, this means dealer has to attain a particular colour, of a rare series, of a rare build, of a rare condition (unmodified) with the original wheels... and once the dealer has tracked down that car - that car needs to be for sale... or be from an owner willing to sell their car for a lowball dealer offer i mean - obviously for your sake i hope the dirty HASN'T been done to you here... but in the event that it HAS been done... then, man... honestly my hat goes off to the dealer... i mean wow, i couldn't even be mad at him... frankly i'd be impressed if he pulled that one off!!! -
Should I Sell My Car Or Will I Regret It?
Mr Eps replied to Turbz RB-25's topic in General Automotive Discussion
okay matey i'm back - let's chat first of all if you're thinking of selling - have a read of this if that article i wrote months ago doesn't make you think twice - then... so be it... but you seem to be ... how you say - more obsessed with power and strength of a car as opposed to "just wanting to drive something different" that was posted by me in october 2009... and i've loved my car to pieces the entire time... after a polish etc... it became this.. i was in the same boat as you - wanting to sell cos i fell out of love with it - then i fell back in love after a wash n stuff but now the car is being sold - even though i love it... i'm wanting it to move on to a different owner that will love it the same way that i have - and luckily it seems i've found a great potential buyer to carry the torch of that car... and i'm replacing it with this one after 6 years of owning the cefiro.. so - honestly i think your reasons for selling are not genuine reasons...and import owner owns an import for their HEART... we don't own imports because of our heads.. i mean if we used our heads it's a lot easier for us to go onto the lot of a suzuki dealership sign on the bottom of a piece of paper n pay 70 bucks a week for the forseeable future to have a "brand new car" i mean THAT is thinking with your head really - you get full warranty coverage, full over the counter parts network, customer service, brand new EVERYTHING but if you're anything like me - you won't care about that glitsy garbage that is perpetuated by western society - that "new" is good... it's not. let's have a budget of ... let's say 25K actuallly fvk that... 20K 20K gets you a brand new suzuki swift (that's including all the intrest you pay etc - that's also for the RE4 edition) yum yum - we both have the "my gf drives a swift" thing in common, they're fun cars to drive don't get me wrong... awww look at you driving around in your brand new swift - don't you look cute there and to think all you had to do was sell that twin turbo 2.6 ltr AWD import that you used to love hmm... or... 20K budget ...supra RZ. 3 litre seq. twin turbo that's fulleh sick so basically - if you're ready to leave who YOU are as a person... then go right on ahead, buy that suzuki swift, be the guy that everyone doesn't care about when they drive past in their wrx... get yourself that corolla and think of all that money you'll save by driving around in a car that gave you NONE of the happiness you felt in your GTR or.. rekindle that love for the GTR... go give your headlights a polish... go buy some RG JTC N1 or Tein COMFORT spec coilovers... get some better tyres - ones that will actually Achieve traction none of this nankang garbage... take it to a detailer... give it a vaccum or a polish.. the answer's pretty obvious... people gravitate towards imports for two reasons... either their uniqueness and the fact they flat out prefer to have an import over an ADM car... ...or the fact they want to have the biggest dick in the pissing contest that is the traffic light grand prix... if it's reason #2 - then you're pretty ready to sell your car if you've lost a race to an HSV (why you bothered racing an HSV i don't know... i never give them the pleasure) but if you're upset that your car doesn't "drive hard enough" then please - sell the car to someone that will appreciate it and deserve it... if you're prepared to get rid of your pride and joy because it doesn't take off from a set of lights as fast as a HSV then sorry to say it but you don't deserve to own a GTR -

OH!!!! ok first of all i would like to express my sincerest apologies, from me - to you... i thought you were one of those guys who is a one post wonder who asks a really hard question that turns into a HUGE debate among members then starts a thread about it and just - - doesn't contribute himself i honestly thought you opened this thread for shits n giggles then let everyone argue over it then disappear and never read it again or read what people were saying seeing as you ARE a real guy not just some jerk i will gladly offer my opinion - i have a lot of insight into this first hand and what i say will definately help your decision i'm about to go out n meet my gf for lunch but after i get back i'll write you! honest! and sorry again - but it happens often "what car should i get" "what's a good first car" "can someone help me import this?" and the thread goes for like 8 pages before anybody stops n thinks "is the OP even reading this shit?" haha but yes - very sorry about that! -

Importing A Race Car
Mr Eps replied to Kaido_RR's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
hey Michael, quick passage i copy n pasted for you from J-spec that sorta should sum it up for you...my advice is.. if you're going to be driving it to n from the event... why not get a car eligable for SEVS and just never register it - that will assist with resale value and flexibility ie - ONE DAY if you CHOOSE to you can use it on the roads... rather than having a car that is usefull only for race use in other advice, definately contact a broker at all costs to help you out! their fees are nothing compared to ease of mind they provide here on SAU meanwhile.. in shizouka... goes up tomorrow @ auction mate edit my quick analasys of the car - it has graphics which show you it's an real make of art - this is japanese for "we hunt whales" i also see some dishy chrome wheels on it i also see a fat FMIC poking out i also see a full front / sides / rear / fender / widebody vertex ridge kit with carbon bonnet and roof spoiler, and canards.. and carbon mirrors and red window tint and four exhausts that's three more exhausts than the regular cars.. which can have as little as ONE exhaust (pft!!) on a serious note... i see a verte badge... i see www.t-and-e.co.jp stickers in chrome... ...i wouldn't be suprised if this car was built by takahiro ueno ah i now see a risky devils sticker on the C window hold on ok get ready to spooje yoruself michawl -
Bought A Car From Japan
Mr Eps replied to GD51LA's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
ah this is easy first few pics are the "fake" car yeah? attachment #4 the interior in the seat-back... where the head support is, there's the slot where your neck sits inside that slot is a black stain if that stain is still on your car that you have - there's your answer! either way... you're still happy with your existing GTR yeah?? i'll be honest with my thoughts here while the story SOUNDS suspect... it's entriely possible in japan - dealers in japan will bend over backwards to "upsell" their customers, be it GPS systems, cd players, bonnet spoiler, shift knobs racing pedals.. whatever they can give them - they'll sell it to their customers so as suss as the story sounds... it's entirely plausible in a strange way i'm thinking the cars are the same based on the tiny tiny details if your car has that stain - it's the same car... another small detail.. the interior pic # 2... the leather handbrake boot... it creases like an S in the exact same spot in the final pic upload of car in australia -
Non Compliable Car
Mr Eps replied to Dfw Pro Jap Parts's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
try here these might be uncomliable and for sale soon unless the owner gets his shit together no seriously.. you want these cars for parts judging by your username try ringing RAWS shops n ask around there... failing that... "parts cars" must be chopped in half prior to parting out -
lol wtf man you're a green Pplater in a GTR i dunno how you afforded that car but must've worked hard for that! you're a lucky buyer as for your friends saying you would've been better off in a GTST man - what a bunch of fags??? i have a nissan cefiro at present moment i've had since i was 19 i'm now 24 and just considering selling it anyone that tells me "why didn't you get a newer car" is soon followed by "ohhhh i suppose i see why you favour the older ones" your friends are retards man get some new friends...ones that aren't spastic..

Should I Sell My Car Or Will I Regret It?
Mr Eps replied to Turbz RB-25's topic in General Automotive Discussion
hhahahhahahahahhahaha omgomgomgomgomgomg i was reading this thread thinking to myself oh man i'm gonna make a boss post n give this dude HEAPS of insight and first hand knowledge of my own experiences... my own experiences being that i am breaking up with my cefiro after 5.5 years... after all the thumbs up... after all the stares glares n smiles and kudos's's's... i'm breaking up with the cefiro and i was going to explain my thought processes and why etc and i was going to explain the things you have to consider but now i realise that OP could well be a troll and i don't feed trolls! so if OP is serious about his thoughts... i'll wait with baited breath and happilly discuss, but i'm not wasting 5 minutes discussing garbage when it probably won't even sink in or be read -
La Bomba - i drive an automatic cefiro ATM... it's turbo but still auto and i must say it's one of the best engine /transmission combos ever... its very snappy / responsive and acts quick, i've heard even better things RE: soarer... japanese auto trans is far more advanced than holden / ford autos, which seems to shift too early and ... kinda hesitates to change gears then again - i's pretty sure if i removed the TURBO aspect from either car i can't imagine myself finding it too exciting... the way i see it is - honda Type-R... manual... nissan S-series... manual... skyline... manual... swift sport... manual anything "luxury" or newer... i would definately go automatic every time would just feel wrong driving a four door saloon as a manual there is nothing "pimp" about clutching and shifting IMO BEERBARON really??? i thought "bazaar" meant ... like... "affiliated crap" i suppose i was using "this" definition.. Bazaar definition # 3. (Business / Commerce) a shop where a large variety of goods is sold I guess bizzare fits also... because i'm obsessed with "strange" and "unlikeable" japanese cars like honda jazz / the Sr20 RWD toyota platz / toyota crown convertible / mitsubishi debonair etc but when i used the term bazaar i was referring to... other japanese rubbish.. like i haven't used "hairgel" for years i only use Japanese Gatsby (that shit is great) but yes - it was the wrong word and thanks for bringing it up! i now know a new word.... "bazaar" *smiles gleefully*
-
the convertible??? probably nothing... i'd be bidding about 200K fob for that thing... well maybe not THAT low lol but i wouldn't be expecting to pay too much for it!!! ugh!!! the pre89's are KILLING me tonight 1970 toyota crown... grade 3.5 86xxxKM put some autosol on the grill and you have yourself a classic!!!
-
right, you're not logged in!!! i embed for you.. grade R don't actually buy that it'll be a PITA to comply haha the black one... 3.5 is still a good car man! 2J is bulletproof engine.. very little problems with toyotas... and even if there IS a problem down the track - who cares? you'll still love the car!!! but yes - that's my point... don't pay attention to what the auction grade says on paper... you can get a really good car @ grade3 like i did... or you can get a poo wagon graded at 4.5
-
resale value regarding imports... keep watching the skies man... anything can happen... ALL imports hold their value... ALWAYS. i know that this is not everyone's tastes.. but i fvcking LOVE everything japanese and bazaar... everyone here gives me shit all day for the stuff that i like.. but... if i was in your shoes - i'd be shopping hard for a nice pre 89 import... cheap as crud on a stick plus less hassles with compliance... even today after buying my dream soarer i STILL think about cars like these.. 1979 toyota markII that as a first car would be absolutely porn... you want an import... you're limited to no turbos... supras are too typical!!! get something RIDICULOUSLY unique... =) or how about a crown convertible i think that car is just soooo insanely pimp... lower the suspension springs and work equip 01/03 and that thing would be soooooooo pimp
-
my advice f**k waiting and buy this https://bzl.cis6200.jp/e/p5_search_detail.a...amp;p=2&f=p it's grade R but you never know... it may be graded R because of body mods / respray... it may be well repaired ;-) or this one.. grade 3.5 83Km oh and.... 6.5K for car FOB = about 13.4K landed n complied with today's exchange rate... but allot 14/14.5K for tyres + registration costs / any hiccups along the way
-
as i said - the SZR could go any price... could go expensive because - face it... it's a 2001 final build model... it's a 6 speed manual... it is graded by USS auction house as 4.5 which means "almost like new, immaculate car"... and it's interior is B-grade... which also means it's immaculate it has no aftermarket suspension, no rims, no guage pods, none of that aftermarket "boy" toys keep in mind.. auction gradings mean NOTHING my black soarer... that thing was graded at 3... and that thing blew my socks off after i got all the pics through... but then again the SZR might go really really cheap if nobody else bids on it or it gets sold after auction in negotiations... who knows... the japs might be busy hunting whales when it goes through... but for the SZR i would be prepared to pay at LEAST 800K fob
-
okay the white SZ-R is mint... which will push the price higher - but it's white... which tends to lower local (japanese) interest being a 2001 SZ-R though, never know where it could go.. my previous price estimation still stands.. anywhere between 800K fob up to a million FOB it's at Nagoya and goes up for auction tomorrow - if you're mad keen on it then get on the phone to someone.. and express your bid - but you have to pay about a grand brokerage fee before they'll do your bidding for you!!! keep in mind... you can't go fishing without bait! so you never know... you can pick up a bargain... one of the soarers i picked up was 280K FOB simply cos - well i guess everyone was asleep when it went through auction! as for the SZ supra - i cannot for the life of me find out any more info - but that car also looks neat ... modified... i wouldn't be bidding on that one without a proper inspection put it that way... and if i was to bid on it... i'd probably have a crack at about 500K?? maybe a bit more do these prices make sense to you in landed n complied terms though?
