  1. This is the defining post of the thread!
  2. Yeah that looked mega dodgy, is be going an racv and vic roads check on it bro
  3. I wanna head over once I have my A grade electrical licence, (should of had it 2 years ago but got lazy). Would you guys know how hard it is to land work as a qualified tradesmen over there?
  4. Ahh excellent thanks heaps, if an R31 fits that would make it sooo much easier, be a peice of cake finding a wrecked 31. Cheers heaps for the help.
  5. Im pretty sure it just from wear over time, Redline - Thanks heaps for the help, I was figuring that, I dunno with R31s, but the release cable controls both the boot and petrol cap. You rekon there is any place I can source one of these out other than waitin for a wrecked R32 to pop up?
  6. Posted in maintance a few months ago, got no replys, I thought if I posted it here id have a better chance of catching someone local who could help out. Cheers Mav, Ive had a look under the carpet, My biggest concern is wrecking a mounting bracket or something, My boot is flakey as it is (Someone tryed to break into it by wedging a screw driver under the boot lid, f**ked the lock), so I was hoping Someone with some knowledge of it could help me just cane threw it as aposed to me doin trial and error and probably f**king something up worse. Infact thats how I made the boot release worse in the first place haha, the petrol cap was still working fine untill I had a shot at fixing it and now its f**ked too.
  7. Bump, I can't be the only one to have this problem?
  8. Ok guys I have no idea who I can go to about this bout I figure if I post this thread someone will atleast give me an idea. I need to re wire my boot release/petrol cap cable as mine has snapped, and also "maybe" redo my bonnet release cable too as it feels like that could be going soon. If anyone has an experience with this PLLEEASSEE reply to this thread. Im working flat out at the moment and don't have much time to pull the everything out to find out exactly the parts I need. So basically im askin for advice and possibly if someone would be kind enough to acompany me to a wrecked skyline or something to show me which parts Id need to take etc. Car is an R32.
  9. Mid_nite - that picture I showed up the top will get you an extremely loud VL TURBO dose, its exactly what all the muzzas get on there car.
  10. Hes talking about the standard BOV, not turbo. My cars been on 14psi daily for over a year and a half and its never skipped a beat, altho my stock bov was blocked ages ago thats why I was wondering what is the limit of a stock bov.
  11. Sorry I meant Rb20/25's, Im not sure about gtrs, everything on them seem to handle high HP well. Im sure I heard somewhere that the factory bov's on rb20 or 25 won't do much over 12 or 14psi?
  12. On a serious note are stock bovs blocked because they only allow a certain amount of psi through?
  13. I run a 6 inch straight metal pipe off the turbo with a small filter on the end, I beleive it should "by theory" suck in more cool air than my last setup which was a pod filter fitted up near where the standard airbox was mounted. The piping to the pod was mostly steel apart from 1 90degree bend which was rubber. Im still yet to test to see if the straight pipe is more responsive because my clutch is slipping so I don't want to drive it on boost till I get a new one. And yes it makes it sound exactly like a vl turbo, its "doses" are insanely loud, too loud sometimes when you just want to drive normally. Oh and I run after market computer so no afm and blocked bov - hence the very loud flutters.
  14. Good luck gettin that sort of power out of an RB20 without a nice big turbo and a butt-load of boost, not to mention a forged bottom-end etc etc etc. With those mods all you need to do is highflow your turbo and get yourself a set of larger injectors and you should make close to 240rwkw id be guessing.
  15. Fear and loathing in los vegas
  16. "Just walking my beat friend, Mexico's my beat and Im walking it" This one will be a lil tricky.
  17. Tidy car, good luck with the sale. I have a query. You say its a Type M, but it doesn't have a Type M front bar. Forgive me if you mentioned it in your post already.

    Easter Nats

I entered last year, best fun Ive ever had in my car, altho my car almost fell off the trailer while loading it up to take home on the last day.. Apart from that FUN FUN FUN!
  19. That what it sounds like, but I don't know if thats it. Its from the front-left of the engine and it only happened during the countdown.
  20. The other day I pulled up to the servo, and when I turned the car off the I could hear/feel a loud knocking noise in the engine bay. I opened the bonnet but by the time I could have a look the turbo timer had turned off. I put some petrol in the car and drove down to the shops, when I turned off the car it did it again, this time I set the turbo timer higher and checked under the bonnet. The noise seems to be coming from the left hand side of the engine (opposite to turbo) and only happens during countown, when I turn the key back onto acc it goes away. Does anyone have any experience with this? I had no petrol (very empty) when I got to the servo and the noise sounds like a fan hitting something if that helps. It also made the noise once while I was driving from the petrol station to the shops at a higher rev, but didnt do it again after that. Cheers.
