  1. No, Series 1 and Series 2 PFCs are the same. Try it and it will work! Pete
  2. Hi Mate 328 pages. Covers transmission (manual and auto), propeller shaft and final drive, drive shaft, front and rear axle / suspension, brake and steering system, body exterior and interior, engine electrical, body electrical, auto speed control device, and electronic diagrams... Cheers Pete
  3. When were your posted/delivered? - Posted 8/12/2009 - Delivered 17/12/2009 (delayed due to Christmas - email from JPNZ) And how much did you pay out of curiosity? - 1993~1997 Nissan SKYLINE Code: WM107 - $100 (NZ) + $20 (NZ) (Post)
  4. I downloaded the engine manual ages ago from the net, so that was free....then when I saw the workshop manual I pre-purchased it (special pre-purchase price) off JPNZ (prior to it getting translated) at: "This email is concerning the deposit for the 1993~1997 Nissan SKYLINE Code: WM107 . We now have enough numbers to carry out translation and publication of the above mentioned manual. Please make a NZ $30 deposit so we can start the process. Once we start we expect the manual to take 3 to 4 months to publish. Once we have the manual complete we will ask for the remaining amount of NZ $70 + NZ $20 postage and will ship the completed manual." They then invoiced me for the higher amount (ie not the pre-purchase 'special' price). After a few emails back and forth from Michael (Director JPNZ) (he was happy to sell it to me at the originally quoted price, but I had already paid the higher price through the website), he asked me: "Do you have the owners manual? If not I will include." I thought bonus(!) and he posted it all off.... What arrived was: -The Engine Manual (two separate parts / books) - Workshop Manual - Owners Manual - Service Book - One of those little cases to hold it all So I was a very happy man, and Michael was great to deal with....
  5. Hi Mate, I'm around the Cannington area. It would be great to meet up and let you set it up! At the moment I'm just putting my door back together after it got dinged in a car park (just finishing up the painting etc.) and don't really want to drive it that much with all the police out etc. (it has no interior trim nor handle on the passenger door at present), but would definately like to meet once this has finished if that's cool with you? Cheers, Peter
  6. Thanks mate - exactly what I was looking for!
  7. Got the R33 Worskhop Manual, Engine Manual, Owners Manual and Service Handbook all from JPNZ about a week ago - great stuff and Michael was a nice bloke to deal with.....
  8. Hi Everyone, Installed a Profec B-Spec-II. Was running a Turbotech mechanical boost controller at 10PSI. Was hoping to get the Profec to climb to and hold 10PSI similar to the Turbotech. Been changing the settings without success (many late night freeway runs). I was wondering if someone could share their Profec settings, if they have a similar setup to me? Once I have a rough idea of what to do I can jig it a little, whilst keeping an eye on my boost and wideband gauges.... Basically I have: - Full 3" exhaust. - Stock R33 turbo. - FMIC. - PFC (untuned). - Apexi Super suction kit (intake pipe and pod). - 480cc injectors. Thanks, Peter
  9. Hey Mate, I'm also interested in the answers to these questions. If you could post or PM me that would be much appreciated! -provision for the AAC? -who actually manufactures your plenums? -can anyone on here vouch for these/used this product? -flow tested in comparison to a GReddy or Hypertune or other similar product? Thanks, Pete
  10. Thanks mate! I'll give them a call on Monday. Pete
  11. Hey Everyone, So I've fitted my stock RB25DET fuel rail with my new (second hand) S15 injectors, and I wanted to make sure that there are no leaks around the o-rings, and that they are all flowing about the same. Can anyone recommend an injector shop to do this? I went to one shop (who said they had side feed injector pullers) to remove my original side feeds (cause they were stuck in that hard!) and they munted the ends of the injectors getting them out So, I'm after a shop that will take care of my babies.... Thanks, Pete
  12. Yeah, I think this is the issue....pulled the fuel rail with injectors out today and there was fuel leaking around the pintle caps. Left the fuel rail sitting in the sink for a while, and a few of the injectors continued to leak fuel from around the pintle caps...must be the o-rings... I don't understand though...I bought the right o-rings, fitted them, and as the injector shop recommended, sprayed a bit of WD40 on them and slid them into the rail...they weren't sticking or anything... I did the final tighten with the end caps and screws....oh well...off to the injector shop to get them to fit, clean and flow...
  13. Thanks for the suggestion Birnie. No AFM is still the same, I have a Z32 and this is selected within the AFM menu. Thanks for the suggestion anyways! Pete
  14. OK....well I got off work early today, so had a chance to play with the PFC.... Adjusted the injectors' % and lag times to the recommended values (tried everything in this thread) without success. Also dropped all of them right back to 25% - the AFR increased slightly to around 13 - 14, but it was still running rich, idling really rough, missing (?) when revved, and blowing smoke (fuel) out the exhaust.... I'll take the injectors and fuel rail out on Saturday and take it to a fuel injection shop.... When I take it to the shop what should I ask for, or ask them to do? Can anyone recommend any fuel injections specialists around Perth, WA? Thanks, Peter
  15. Hey Guys! Once again thanks for all the replies! I still haven't had a chance to adjust anything as yet, due to being so busy at work! As stated before, when I do get a chance I will try adjusting the PFC to see if it fixes the problem - I hope it does. If this fails, I will look into the engine bay once more and start working my way towards removing the rail and injectors... Any more suggestions would definitely be helpful - and I'll add it onto my list of things to do! Thanks! Peter
  16. I only ran it for 20 or so seconds...maybe (hopefully this will be the issue?) How does the fuel get dumped in the cylinder when you remove the injectors? When I pulled out the stock rail and injectors no fuel came out until I popped out the stock injectors - then the rail was quite dry when I put in the S15 ones?
  17. Hi Everyone, Thanks for all your replies. I'll try adjusting the PFC some more. If this fails I'll begin to remove the fuel rail again to see if I have messed up anything mechanically - I'll let you know how I go! (Hopefully adjusting the PFC will fix the problem!) Anymore suggestions? (Please feel welcome to add as I really want to get this sorted!) Thanks again, Peter
  18. Thanks for the link mate, pity they don't have my injectors though! Peter
  19. Thanks for the help mate, and I will give it a go - I hope it fixes the problem! The reason I did it my way cause the "PFC bible" says: If changing 440[cc/min] to aftermarket 600[cc/min] 440 / 600 = 0.73 Enter the value "0.73" for each cylinder. Bolt-on turbo spec. POWER FC applications assume that the injectors have been upgraded. This is why "1.000" is not entered as the starting data for the injector values. Injector Lag Time Setting The POWER FC includes factory vehicle injector data. If you switch to any other type of injector, be sure to perform the calculations below and input the correct values. Changing the factory 440[cc/min] with 0.78[msec] injector lag time to an aftermarket 600[cc/min] injector with 0.85[msec] injector lag time is: "Injectors to be used" - "Factory Injectors" = "Correction Value After Changing" 0.85[msec] - 0.78[msec] = 0.07[msec] Enter "0.07" into the [msec] parameter for each cylinder. *If the aftermarket injectors have a shorter lag time, add a "-" (minus) before the value. So what I did was 370/448 = 0.83 and 0.584 - 0.528 = 0.06.... I will alter it to what you suggest though...hope it works! Thanks, Pete
  20. Yeah, I thought they were, but I seem to see the 480cc and the 448cc figure floating around and the "PFC bible" labels them 448cc?
  21. Hi Everyone, Wondering if I could get some help please? Car is a 1994 Skyline with an RB25DET (Series 1) with basic mods – exhaust, FMIC, pod, Apexi PFC, EBC etc. Just finished installing some second hand side feed S15 injectors bought from this forum (upgrade from stock R33 RB25 370cc side feed injectors). Before starting the car I adjusted the PFC (which is yet to be tuned) to compensate for these new injectors - 370/448 = 83% and 0.584 – 0.528 = 0.056 (0.06) following the recommendations of the Apexi PFC thread found within this forum. No other changes were made with the PFC nor mechanically – it was running fine before this. Started the car, it ran really rough – it wouldn’t idle smoothly. My wideband AFR was reading quite rich between 10 – 11, smoke (I assume unburnt fuel) was coming out the exhaust, gave it a bit of a rev and it seemed to miss… What have I done wrong, what could I do to fix this? Any suggestions will be much appreciated, because I was looking forward to getting this tuned once I had installed the injectors… Thanks, Peter
  22. Well, besides a few of the claws missing, upon closer inspection some of them were cracked right through, and just loosely sitting there - I was worried about the pintle caps and smaller o-rings working their way down and falling into the intake runners... Anyways, found a place that sells generic caps and they seem to fit quite nicely....different design but should do the job - and they appear alot stronger too...
  23. FAIL! Went to Nissan they don't carry them...don't even have a specific part number...
  24. I don't think so....but I could be wrong...? Looking at mine...I don't think it will line up and fit...
  25. Thanks mate. I'll give them a call on Monday. Peter
