Guys, I am changing the diff and gearbox oil shortly. Is there a sort of oil that i should use for the diff and gearbox? Gearbox: oil? Diff: oil? Engine: oil? What my previous car (VL with SubZero build RB25DET), I used Mobil 1 for the engine. What oil do people recommend to use with a standard engine, not using any oil at all... Thanks.

StockyMcStock, I had the entire engine built from ground up in the VL. This was something I asked for so the cooler pipes didnt go back over the engine because as everyone knows, heat rises!!!! Give them a call mate and ask becuase i could only tell you that I spent $13,000 in total, no break down on the price. btw, this was about 3 yrs ago now and I have sold the car...unfortunatly..

Yeah, i agree, try the leads first.. Also could try cleaning the plugs again, even though you have just changed them... Where are the coils located? Are they like the standard coils on top of the plugs?

Yeah, I had mine done. I had Sub Zero build me a RB25DET with some nice goodies on the inside into my VL. They modified the intake plenum fo it was front mounted... Really good job, built engine well and all welds etc very neat...

Guys, I am currently planning on upgrading my turbo. Here is what the car has atm...: Bosche 040 fuel pump FMIC Apexi Power FC POD Filter 3 1/2 inch exhaust Would like to buy a new turbo and exhaust manifold. Any ideas? T66? T04?? Thanks

What havent you changed then? If it is that intermittent, doesnt sound like wiring but still could be... Does this happen when driving in a straight line, cornering?

What vlaue of knock is bad, or extremely bad and what is acceptable.. Also, what is your maximum about of ign timing what you get up your car PaulR33?? Mine is 46odish ign timing with 15knock..? This is under full load to 7 grandish..

Ethanol also has a lower burning temperature as its Alchohol. Thats why drag racers user alchohol based fuels because they burn at a lower temp, thus saving the valves from extreme temps...

I have been reading a bit about this and found that ethonol actually has more octane level than regular unleaded. Burns cleaner, sincing it is an alcohol, helping/cleaning engine. There are some places over in Europe that have either been using 50% ethanol and a few places have been using 90ish%. Ben, when monitoring the knock, you can press the 'up' arrow to view the maximum value for the run.... ALso, I think I have read elsewhere that the GTR has the air temp sensors, not the GTST's unless you install it... Booky

THis car was tuned by previous owner, he took it to Mick Spry in southport there. The settings may have been played around with by him...
