Thanks to everyone for organising the day and to Collins for pushing the guys to get them to do back to back runs on the first course as that helped a lot for me personally. It was my first ever hill climb in my "V8 Supercar" as it's been named so was pretty sketchy at times but thoroughly enjoyable. I've attached a couple of pics I took and a video of one of my laps where I was just getting my head around the track but as it's been pointed out to me I forgot what to do with my hands so they were all over the place haha.

Ah ok, makes sense, if I dont have a tarp I might just grab a cheap one to cover stuff up...

There are garages at HH? Will there be any reserved for the day that we can put items we don't want to get wet with rain... lol

I've read it but it seems that every club varies depending on the event. Went and spectated at a Tampered day and the padding on cars varied massively from the cheap noodle stuff to a tiny piece of SFI stuff just where the helmet might touch the bar so there was no consistency. Will see what happens Saturday.

Do you guys have requirements on roll cage padding? I'm going to put some SFI approved stuff just on the bar where my helmet could hit but was wondering if that would be enough for this event and similar sprints?

Yeah I'll be taking it easy that's for sure even though I picked up that extra set of semi's cheap to trail on the day. Had to laugh at my entry on the list as I was waiting for that to be put in there... lol 21 Brett Stuchbery V8 Supercar?

Well done on bringing it back though and you were pretty keen going through turn 1 on the outside of another car on more than 1 occasion lol.

Awesome laps Richo, they are a lot more aggressive than I am at this point lol. What tyres were ran on both cars?

At the risk of sounding like a broken record is there any update on the results from last years championship? Also haven't seen what happened for the results and awards from Round 1 this year either?

From chatting to friends that have already raced there they said the racing line is nice and grippy so you are quicker but get off that line and it will spit you off the track very easily.. Sounds like you will all have an interesting day...

Unless I missed it I don't believe the results were announced at Sandown, is there any chance of an update of the final results from last year?

I had an awesome time with some decent track time for once and I knocked my PB down to 1:24.7. Also I noticed in the sup regs that there were awards for different categories on the day? Were these decided as I wasn't there right until the end...

i like that plan as you would definitely want them to know what they are doing before putting them on the track with the guys trying to cut good lap times...

Do the licenses you can buy on the day allow you to enter the Timed sessions or just the non-timed? Just asking as the come and try licences in the Supp Regs are a different level to the normal Level 2S ones we have... DRIVER ELIGIBILITY All drivers must hold a current CAMS Level 2S licence or higher and be a financial member of a Club affiliated with CAMS in Victoria.
