Whats wrong with guard lipping? is it both expensive and damaging to the car's paintwork?

Are HKS T04's available locally or would I have to go through Nengun/Greenline? Looks like the HKS is gaining popularity... GTRSean - What bolt ons do you have because the best my tuner could get at a safe tune was 276rwkw @ 16psi...std eveything except for bosch 040 fuel pump, zorst, dumps, front pipes etc..

Probably wont be stroking it...just forged pistons, new metal gaskets, R34 N1 crankshaft, cylinder work etc etc.. Is the Garrett T04 virtually the same as the HKS jobbie? any recommendations on where to source one?

I've decided to go to a larger turbo and I'm trying to decide on one of the above mentioned turbos.... As always SAU is the place to ask so, does anyone have either of these turbos fitted to their GTR currently? The Trust is over $7k where I could probably source the Garrett T04 substantally cheaper locally... Yes...I will be getting my engine rebuilt to handle it. Yes...I know there will be lag. I actually have a set of SARD 850cc's that I had lying around the house... Do you think these are overkill for the state that the GTR is in at the moment? I had big plans for my previous GTST which is why I have them and not sure what to do with them now..

I might go 740cc's as I have plans later to go a big single turbo. I didnt have an aftermarket FMIC - stock GTR one is usually good for around 330kw from what I'm told.

What do you suggest in suitable injector upgrade size? I could up the boost to around 18psi but, I dont want to run the risk of engine troubles and the best fuel we have up here is only BP Ultimate.

Yep....Std 440cc injectors but, I just expected more then 270+ *S* The car is pretty much standard except for the items I mentioned earlier. My tuner said the car did make 300kw but, it wasnt at an acceptable level of tune....was tuned safe and made the 274 run. I'd rather be safe then sorry. I have a dyno sheet which I hope to have up by tomorrow for all to look at.

Nick, I have the std 440cc injectors in the car atm. Do you think a replacement cat would help? any good recommendations on where to get one? I have 2 x Pod Filters...unsure of brand. Not sure of which cam gears to get....leaning towards Tomei ones over the HKS ones.

UPDATE: I decided to purchase a new set of Garrett 2860R -5 and managed to pull a 274kw @ 16psi. I was hoping to pull 300kw...Car has cat back exhaust, front pipes, dump pipes, Power FC, Gizmo Boost Controller and Bosch 040 Fuel Pump. Oh Well.........I think a TRUST T78 is on the list now *S*

I recently spoke to Peter about doing a full rebuild of my RB26 and he was a nice bloke to deal with... Advan are quite known for modifying Skylines and seemed to be the one stop shop for all things skyline related hence why I have chosen them to be on my short list. The other workshop is Gavin Woods AutoTech who have always been highly recommened on SAU so, the choices are split between this two workshops.

In my eyes, it's not deserved...Others may say differently. Whatever.

Has anyone here used Advan Performance in Sydney before as I have heard they are the experts when it comes to GTR's?? I am looking at modifying my GTR to around my target of 400kw at all four. If you dont want to express your feelings here then you could pm me your thoughts.. Cheers.

Ahhh so these globes are not the right ones then???? Makes sense that they dont bloody fit in after 2 days of trying... Does anyone know exactly which ones I need to directly fit in??
