  2. In search of rb26 270 9.15 poncams sold by Jackie. Looking for the largest drop in cam with no modifications required. Any advice on how well they work? 1st No info etc.
  3. thank I have a neo in my garage, to install however I want to do mods while it's out one time should be looking to install in about 3 months. The s2 is currently in revs 8200 no issues but obviously I only do on drag days. good advice

  7. thanks right now im making 476hp i am looking to make more. i want more rpm, full boost is at 5.5k rpm a shift point is 8k right now. when i shift it is above 5.5k rpm so no vct. i have the s2 engine in currently but i have heard the neo is better i will try same components on the neo and see the results. thanks
  8. i will ask again where is your vct shut off point compared to the rpm range your recovery rpm after an up shift? with regards a drag situation.
  9. why did it not just read SAU non drag forum? simply conform to a box of not knowing. my last dyno made 476hp very close to virtual dyno results. i simply use the tool and compare results. does anyone ever remove vct in this forum? restricted to one type of cam the 260 9.1 poncam............. let me out the box.....i dont want to be confined mentally. thanks
  10. I do tune cars but no I don't use an accurate dyno. I use virtual Dyno. but show me one drag car using vcam that does well and I will retain vct. You are thinking of time attack and circuit racing, how many drag cars have you tuned that actually utilize vct? no need to try to be disrespectful. As I said let's agree to disagree. and lets continue to enjoy the awesome forum.
  11. According to you. Ur mind is set similar.... Let's agree to disagree. Not many Ppl can agree with Rb26 being rubbish. But maybe I need an American to say different. Japs put rubbish in the gtr. Smh I have tried the shut off at higher rpm 4700rpm was still best. no diss bud but theres more than one way to skin a cat
  12. Sorry I daily My Car to work on the highway for about 10mins and park. It will drive on the highway and back home. Rest is drag racing. No love lost to vct. Rb26 had no vct and their large cams don't kill the driving experience. but for me it can go. U can keep yours. I have 2 engines with vct I will take one off and put in larger cams.
  13. Also think about Wat was said.... I Drag Race and I never operate in the vct range fantastic or not it is useless if the engine nerves sees the vct. Launch control is 4500rpm weeks vct turns off at 4700 therefore I see 200rpm of vct then I stay above 5k rpm between shifts. Car is not a track car. Vct makes no sense to my setup. Larger cams would be more useful since I will be operating in the 5k plus region We are not here to all have like minds. We will all have different ideas and minds at some point. but u should consider another possibility
  14. I have had it on and off on my current engine....i see no major gains. Maybe it's not working blocked or something. Systems aged she's and fail over time as well. I will revisit it later as changed won't be made immediately
  15. car will start on launch control at 4.5k rpm i dont drive car around in traffic. and camtech cams are at twice the price. seems better to toss the vct and go larger cams.

  17. i see drag only in mind and daily driver. i will not operate in the vct region most of the time therefore why bother retain the vct? vct shuts off at about 4700rpm. i will be in 5+k revving to 9-9.5k should give me about 4k usable range as well
  18. Nice I will give up the vct to go 270 on mine. Spin to 9k as well with a larger Turbo. What is the purpose of your Car?

  22. NICE BUILD WHAT CAMS ARE YOU GOING TO RUN WITH THE ENGINE? PM IF YOU WANNA GO LARGER THAN 260 CAMS.
  23. thats good to hear performance valve springs are reliable. i don't see many reviews. how much rpms are you turning? it would be good to see more persons promote a good product.
  24. hey any updates on this topic? how have the Performance Valve Springs held up over time for the rb25det neo? also any other spring manufactures other than ferrea trusted for the NEO?
