ok so say i still want to stick to the ol rb20 style engine but use gtr crank and rods to make it a 2.4... what else am i looking at internally to reliably run 260-300rwkw? deffinately going to be a limiter hitting engine as its being built for drift purposes... - adz

i am in the exact same boat... sorry to semi-hijack... but i have a 32 4 door... which is getting a fresh rb20 with 1.2mm headgasket, power fc, hks t04e external gate kit, hks twin plate, rb25 gbox, trust front mount and z32 etc etc fitted... i know the rb20 wont take the t04e for very long - especially considering its going to be drifted... i was thinking of purchasing an rb20 short motor (block/head) so i can strip it down and get it rebuilt/stroked with forgies etc... question is... im unsure as to what has to be done and used... which crank would i use? rods? - adz

RB20DET - completely stock internals RB25 gearbox hks twin plate clutch 550cc denso injectors gtr fuel pump tomei coilpacks apexi power fc and handcontroller blitz dsbc z32 afm trust cooler grex oil cooler eastbear earth wire kit buddyclub 3.5" turbo back exhaust hks t04e turbo on hks cast manifold with hks 28mm external gate hks 1.2mm headgasket i wanna run around 220rwkw for now with it... so prolly around .8bar on a light tune motor has good compression... and is 80,000kms old now how long will this last? - adz

nah cant take it off the jack... its been on there 3 days now... coz my coilovers are seized due to sitting around in japan so long... ive lubed em up... just need effort to get in there and crack em till they adjust up... then ill be able to roll around with the dishies on without the jack - adz

ive got one on my new motor... to flow correctly the internals had to be modified and rebored/honed to suit the new flow characteristics of the TB inlet position just thought id add this - adz
