I believe it has a .9bar spring. but it goes over that! when you sat testing is the only way, test what? it is a custom manifold. if it is the manifold, then thats a big problem! stupid car! When i said wont hold boost, I meant it is gaining in pressure. it never holds a boost steady, just winds up from 4000rpm till I stop it. the wastegate has held .8bar with a t3/4 turbo that was on it before, I would have thought that it would be big enough to hold / control boost with the td06 as it has a smaller exhaust housing, I do realise it would flow alot more then the old turbo but still didnt think I would have a problem with size. I dont feel like forking out $1000 and all the hassel of taking the exahust manifold off then on again when it may not be the problem, although it is looking like it. can anyone confirm or deny whether a turbo of this size would need a bigger wastegate or not? or anyone have any other sujestions for me? I have a TD06-19C on an RB20 and I have a HKS style wastegate which is 38mm in size. It wont hold boost. Have tried disconnecting the avcr and just running it from a pressure source tot he bottom of the wastegate and it still wont stay at any level. I figured it was just the crappy wastegate (it came with that wastegate/diff turbo) so I bought a new one and wanted the same one so I didnt have to change the manifold and it still wont hold boost. ahh. Any thoughts on what it could be? wastegate too small to hold boost? I only want to run 1 bar. Thanks. Rhys

Looks like an RB20det to me too, but I dont know about the breather hoses on the rocker cover though, no RB20s that I have seen have had that. Rhys

where are you located?

the injector clips are also different between rb20 and rb26. had to buy bosch ones and put them in. also you may not be able to drive with just changing the injectors cause it will be putting alot more fuel into the motor. I had to have a heap of fuel taken out when I had mine installed. Rhys

the difference between normal street tyres and Azinis semi slicks are amazing! In my fwd, I was running normal street tyres with a tyre pressure of 20 psi, this was good but didnt hook up as well as it could ahve. I then changed to a locker and azinis witht he same pressure and it was insane. I was launching at 3500 rpm instead of the 2500 I used to have to and it was still bogging down. I must admit the locker had alot to do with it, but if you are interested in getting good times, get some semi slicks. I got second hand ones, 4 for $50!! they were down to the indicators so I couldnt drive around ont hem on the street, but they were just as sticky as new! Rhys

I think it depends on the car involved. I think a 12 sec street car is fast, although a 13 second street FWD is very fast as they dont have the ET, but the mph. my old MX6 did a 13.7 et, but a 112mph trap speed. My freinds very close to stock GTiR (fuel pump, wound up boost thats it) did a 12.2 et with a mph of 111 trap speed. he also had a 60 foot of 1.6, where mine was 2.5 seconds. So yes I think alot more cars are running 12s but I think it depends on the drive of the car, RWD, FWD, AWD! Rhys

Quick answer needed. Do the GTR 440cc injectors bolt straight in and work on an RB20det? yes I understand that they will fit, but what about the impedance? I read somewhere that the GTR injectors are low impedance and the RB20 are high impedance or vice versa. I want to know whether or not I have to change something in my wolf computer which means a workshop has to do them, or if I can chuck them in myself and drive around the corner to the workshop for tune? its not hard to fit them, which is why I want to do them rather then the workshop. I have a t3/4 XS POWER turbo for sale. Its not of good quality. it made 185kws on a RB20 at 10psi. It has a polished front cover. selling due to upgrade. front cover has A/R .50 on it and front mouth is 75mm. Exhaust housing only has what looks like a Turbonetics "T" on it and the number 20357 on the exhaust flange. Exhaust wheel is 55mm. only pic I have is of it on my car sorry. Asking $350. I have a set of 17" wheels, stud pattern 4 x 100 and 4 x 114.3 with offset to fis S13 silvia. Two have slight buckles in them (one repaired) and the other two are fine. Had them checked at a Quickfit tyre service place and he said they would be fine on the back of a car. they also have Azinis Semi slick tyres on them, down to the indicators, but still good for track use or drags.
