Don't get me wrong she's running and pulling hard at 18psi still. All temps and pressures are normal. Just seems to have lost a bit at say 6000 to 7000 under full load? Trevs? Kizza?

I will come Eli! Panicked when we got to Toodyay. Jack was like there is smoke coming out from under the bonnet. Wtf. Bonnet was a bit hot with no blanket underneath it was steaming the rain over the turbo off the top of the bonnet. Was just running up the hills in 5th and loading it up on the way there with the boost controller off. Used 4th for the hills on the way home at 14psi no probs. Different animal to the 4,9 5.8 5.0 and 5.4 lesson learned. Bugger all torque at low revs. think I will get rid of the 200cell catco oval and go to the venom 100cell with the 5" substrate. Tuning is beyond my nuts and bolts ability. Any thoughts? We ran sweet to and from Albany and did 1000kms pushing it hard. The original 100 cell metal cat copped a massive smash over a trainline bump at full speed the substrate came loose and flew into the exhaust melted and killed it and we popped a intercooler hose because it blocked the exhaust.(the weekest link) have swaged pressure tested and redone all the tubes and hoses with a intercooler flush. Would I need to retune between replacing the cats? Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks.

Went to the city stage of the rally today. Way more skylines running in the mornings classic car section. Had some 32 33 34 gt-r and gt-st's Heaps better than the Malaga and Whiteman park stages. 5 hrs in very mild sun and strong wind. Curse of the ranga, unbelievably got burnt.

Got 2 boys.1 plays golf the other races bmx. Sucking up money like a hoover.

Bummer dude. Opioid medication slows your breathing aswell. Hop you get better soon!

Posted some pics of the boot fit out. What do you think of it?

20 cartons back in the day! I'm sure Trev spent the money wisely:-D been out at targa West last night and this arvo. Only 4 Nissan's if you include Datsuns :-(

No probs

Being a 3ltr it will have more torque anyhow so perhaps response is the way to go? Don't forget I'm only a sheet metal worker who has never blown up a Cleavo Windsor c4 top loader or 9".[emoji4]

Hmm suppose it's the difference between a punchy quicker less laggy spool or a wait for a bit and get the the the holly f##k on it scary spool. Response vs shear power balance. Loads of rb's you see with bigger turbo's tend not to be able to get off the line or blow up boxes half shafts and diffs. I'd say with the bigger turbo you would need a mental clutch and longer ratio to get the power happening or it would just snap stuff and light up the tyres permanently. Which is also fun:-)

I'm laggy up to 3500 with the SS2 but it doesn't affect it too much with the 4:1.1 and 5 speed if your in the right gear at the right time. With more power I'd definitely be looking at a lower ratio. So 115-120kph isn't 3000rpm cruising. Having said that the exhaust planes out pretty quiet for a 3" straight through and now we can give it "justice." On the stereo. Even 3-4 at 18psi didn't lag at the drags and it kept pulling hard at about 6750rpm over the line at 177kmph. Have shifted 5 at about 195kmph and it is always over 3500rpm in the rev range when you pull the next gear. With a kizza motor and tuning I couldn't see it being a problem?

Went to the zig zag stage ages ago. Got all set up over the 3rd hairpin. Set up my camp chair got out the esky with some beers and chicken sandwiches. Looked down after about 15 mins to see I'd disturbed some Kalamunda locals being massive bull ants. All over the chair esky shoes and sandwiches were totally null in void with ants. Had to do a massive f##k dance shake everything down and spent the rest of the day with full paranoia and little itches that might have been more ants in the pants! Leeusseer:-)

Yep. Agreed. How did it run after the clean?

Car stereo will never compete. 901's, gale gs401a, dual mordant short centres, 301 rears. 2x Yamaha 1x marantz and a 140wpc nad from the early 80s either watt meters. 901's 250wpc at 8ohms, so beautifully efficient chained to the rafters. Running gale g's 401a's as subs. Audiophile at home. Got 2 Yamaha 1 marantz and a 140wpc nad with watt meters from the early 80's.

I'm in for it Dean if nothing crops up! How's the recovery going? Not trying to get me arrested again? [emoji23] Seen a beast exactly like your 34 parked in Bennett Springs today but a coupe. Same colour and rims. Put some pics of your car in my screen saver at work. The boys loved it! She's a tidy machiene. Hope all is well with the wife and baby!

Belmont. Always reminds me of a purple Hx.

Just a thought! Might have fitted the Nissan:-o

Excessive Gunge Reciprocated Valve!

Liked it because you whipped the phone out for a quick snap:-)

Extra Gunk and Residue valve. EGR

Yep. I normally go to Whiteman park and Malaga every year. 3 mins from home both directions. Followed every stage a few years back.

Can't wait to watch him whipper snip and mow the lawn next weekend! Fully grumbling under his breath:@

Thanks man. Jack and I gave it some justice today. Blackened was awesome. Punchy tight and deep with good separation. Not a show winner by any means but I'm happy with the results. Angles, maths, wood, glue, nail gun, staple gun, sanding, sealer, wiring, carpeting, insulation, brackets, nuts and bolts, soldering, helm holtz theory of resination and ohms law. I'm pretty proud of the boy. He built the p/s box pretty much by himself with some help from me. Great father and son project:-)
