  9. The thing is though, the cfb that osaka boy can get are only oem variants, if you came with vents then thats a different story - which i cannot see mentioned in his post. Personally, i would like my bonnet vented like the ones from autosports/carmate or the one skylineee has. Also, surely the price can go down a little bit futher - maybe/yes?

  13. cheers mate, no piping has blown since the lip was welded on. There is in fact 1 x 45 and 3 x 90 piping is correct which once fitted makes it very tight - something that i suggest you would want. I also used the stock piping as you can see from the engine back pics.
  14. ahh hiep you tight ass. =D I also know the owner of procoat, not suprisingly, who also coincidently lives just around the corner from my place. The guy is cheap if you just want a decent paint job of your car.

  16. ive had numerous pm's of people wanting pics of the cooler with the piping on so instead of emailing everyone that asked i though i might as well post it up here so everyone could see.
  17. im got my old man to weld some lip/dimples onto the piping which seems to work well.
  18. i cant find anywhere that has t bolts atm so im using additional clamps and taking it easy atm. due to this i have been unable to tune my ebc.
  19. imho, a cooler is a cooler as long as it cools the air going into the turbo therefore i cant justify spending x amount on a jap brand kit which is why i opted not only for a generic but also piping. If it was a performance mod in terms turbo, piston etc then maybe i'll consider jap brands. On a side note, my piping blew off this afternoon and was destroyed in the process. Not happy, i need to clamp it tighter after getting new piping for the return route. Even worst was that i wasnt even on boost, revs was only at 3 grand. So a note for those doing this mod, make sure that your piping is definately tight ass before boosting it or attempting to boost it especially the 180 degree's return piping.
  20. has any of you two guys tried the reprogrammed ecu offered by toda from this forum. I was think as a temporary upgrade i would take this option or is this a waste of time as spending that $300 ish on a safc is better. With regards to boost levels, is 13 psi rather high for a series 2 turbo for its apparent specs, atm i have the ebc at 7 for low and 10 for hi as im sure most ppl have it at this setting as well. I know that i need a fuel pump - gtr or walbro for example, but is a fuel pressure regulator also necessary. Im hoping to make the line faster then the 180sx which although has only 170rwkw's its currently faster due to its power to weight ratio.
  21. hi fellas, im would like to know if my mods are able to give me 200rwkw's. Ive seen alot of threads about how to reach this figure before i think my car is a little different, then again it may be not anyways. Atm the mods that i have on my car includes - turbo back exhaust 3" - pod + cai - fmic Now i also have a ebc but i dont really consider that as a mod as such otherwise i would be also mentioning my turbo timer, g tech pro etc etc. What i would like to know is that with these mods what is the likely power figure that the car would put out as it has never been on a dyno before which i should have done when it was stock but didnt. Also, I realise that having the exhaust and fmic will up the boost which comes to my next point as to wether or not i should up the boost even further with the ebc considering that i have a series 2. thanks in advance, duc.

  23. cheers lazy, thanks for your advice. The cooler is a hybrid one. I got the pipes from a exhaust shop on port road next to the car washing franchise across from the old pizza hut, i cant remember the name of it but you cant miss it either. The pipes costed my $85 exact.
  24. thanks mate. My intentions when i was lining the cooler on i did try it at 90 degrees but the 180 return piping was just too large of a bend to fit on top of the brackets so i had to mount the cooler at a 45 degrees angle. I though that the piping would have been too low when i get a chance to lower the ride height but that doesnt seem to be the case. Another benefit that i noticed bu lining it at 45 degrees is that i dont have to trim any more of the front bar which in turn doesnt make it any weaker than it already is.
