  1. which twin scroll would you recommend for an RB20? I've been wanting to do a Twin GT-SS on my 2.2L RB20 .. but I'm starting to wonder if I shouldn't stay clear of the complexity the TT will bring. I've seen Twin scroll turbos in subarus.. and I'm guessing an I6 would be a good engine for this type of turbo. Thanks A friend sugested a Garett GT3076R... I know it's not a TS system but seems to be rated for the power I want .. with an .83 A/R
  2. my whole clutch assembly weighs 29lbs with flywheel, pressure plate and clutch plates. I haven't dissabled it yet though
  3. hello sorry to be off topic, but did it come with a throw out bearing or could you have used a stock one, if you had a compatible clutch system?
  4. I also just received my 709D clutch now I'm wondering what type of bearing I need? stock nissan one or a special thinner version. all the instructions are in japanese and I'd like to make sure we have all the necessary parts when we drop the tranny thanks!
  5. Can anyone help me? I bought an ORC 709D Clutch, I already have an unknown twin plate in there. so I have a shorter bearing carrier. I also have an aftermarket NSK bearing(That I had installed last year) Will I need to buy a new bearing for this one. What do I need to look for in a bigger slave cylinder? part # please? any info is welcome! THANKS!
  6. Sorry for resurecting this very old thread but it's the closest one I could find with alot of relevant info. I ordered an ORC 709D twin plate clutch but I haven't received it yet. Instructions are suposed included as this is a brand new clutch. However I'd like to have all the necessary hardware when the clutch gets here, of course! does anyone know of the nissan parts# that I will need? I already had a twin plate clutch(unknow brand) but it's now busted. I had new NSK throw out bearing installed last year when I had my tranny replaced. I don't know if it had a forged pivot bearing but it did last close to 50 000km. Any info will be greatly appreciated since I need to have everything installed by April 22nd since I have a Lapping Academy Weekend! thanks guys
  7. RedDrifter I have -440 Injectors -Z32 MAF -GTR Fuel pump -GTR intercooler -2.2L Tomei engine Derive I I didn't have a boost gauge when the guy ran the dyno so I do not know if it's the boost that drops above 6800.. I'll repost my graph here to help you guys You can see the A/F leaning around 6800...
  8. Yes i tend to agree, my ECU was tuned by a local tuner. I did ask him to go easy as I want to be on the safe side.. I would however like to go further than 6800RPM my japanese cutoff was set at 8200RPM I still wonder how comme my 400 injectors lean out, or is it the tuning/turbo.. I wanna start downloading ecu .bin soon enough to see how my fuel map is.. And yeah 94 octane gas is as good as it gets here but I've seen/read that 94 here is about like 98 japanese octane... is running that rich leaning out my injectors when I pump the boost up?
  9. I was reading the different posts here... I have a Z32 MAF, 440cc injectors and HKS GT2535 My power cuts off at 6800 RPM at 15 PSI I'd like to get it abvove 7000 though I also have a 2.2L tomei kit with cams(I don't know which) at what RPM does your power stop?
  10. I have an HKSGT2535... I think it's rated for 350ps isn't the GT2530 rated for 340ps (flywheel or wheel) i'm currently at 355 flywheel and I was wondering where I could find a flow map for it or the garett equivalent. I'm at 208RWkW .. and seeing some of you guys with up to 250RWkW on GT2530 kinda makes me wonder if you could look at my dyno sheet in forced induction RB20 mods and tell me what you think might or might not help get a bit more power .. I'm running at 15 PSI with a conservative A/F ratio of 11.2 thanks mates!
  11. I have a boost controller and I used it at three different levels so at 14 PSI: wheel crank hp 265 335 @6250 tq 230 285 @5000-6000 Smile __________________________ at 14.5 PSI: wheel crank hp 270 340 @6500 tq 240 298 @5000-5750 ______________________ at 15 PSI: wheel crank hp 280 355 @6500 that's 208 RWkW tq 260 315 @4750-5500 352 RWNm Old ass blitz SBC boost controller HKS GT2535 turbo (N1?) GTR FMIC Tomei Built RB20 2.2L with cams and all GTR Injectors and Fuel Pump 3" catless RS*R exhaust Z32 MAF 94 Canadian Octane gas the tune is quite rich You guys think it's the turbo/cams/injectors that are running out?? this turbo is rated 350HP which I'm at :S
  12. I'll try to make some more next weekend as we are going to have a mini meet Also files are hosted home, so there are only 2 downloads per IP allowed can any one tell me if last video posted works? thanks
  13. Yeah they are indeed hard to find haha I have one where my friend launches in front of me... very nice car but not special in terms of the video http://klys.afraid.org/skylines/_VIDEO/_GT...ty-100_5040.MOV All the way from Québec canada I don't have any videos from mine Oh yeah I do, gotta dig it up Edit: http://klys.afraid.org/skylines/_VIDEO/_GT...lys100_6204.MOV http://klys.afraid.org/skylines/_VIDEO/_GT...lys100_6205.MOV
  14. Well this happens in Canada also... the funniest time was on a 70km/h highway, I was going 100 which is the speed everyone goes on that Highway as 70 is riduculous and everybody knows it... anyways so i'm going 100 in 5th gear going by slowy with my GF and there's this VW de-badged golf next to me accelerating decelerating like 3 times ... (so being in the left lane) and him driving in the middle lane( cars here are LHD) I finally pull down my window, he ask:" yooo so does this thing fly??!" so I say:"well yeah kinda" ... without saying anything else he immediatly floors it to probably 140-150 and zigzags through lite traffic ... I just started laughing as I didn't even accelerate a km/h anyways I kinda got scared when I saw him swerve from right lane to left maybe 300m in front .. stoopid .. but here in Montreal the skyline is very rare ... we have like 4 in a city of 3 million peaople, so kinda rare and it happens quite often
