  1. Yes, they are lca's. The Nismo ones are usualy longer than the stock items. I cut my stock arms up and put a rose joint in to replace the bush and to make them adjustable.
  2. I lengthened the lower control arm. Pretty simple trick. Works pretty well with -3.5 deg
  3. That is kind of good to know. But how many motorsport ppl tell thier secrets. Its pretty simple realy.
  4. only got to play for a short time thismorning on the dyno, so we focused on getting the best out of it at 9.5 psi and came up just shy of 300 rwhp. ther is always next time.
  5. I'm throwing a new fuel sustem in my tamed monster, I call her Gentle. I called her GEN originaly because the plates began GEN, but as I began to drift it, it was clear gentle aplication of throttle, stearing, brake or any combination of these was needed or you would be punnished....... badly. At any rate, many years down the track, the engine has been freshened, ported, camed, ballnced and so on as is normal with all performance type builds. Something that many forget about is the fuel system........ so I have gone TOTALY OVERBOARD. After talking to my Head man and the Cam man, with the right suporting systems this engine should be capable of 800 BHP @ 2Bar, on paper. Even thou I only ever plan to run 1.5 Bar, this should do the trick!!!!! Carter lift pump Sturdy Surge swirl pot 2 x 040 bosch pumps top feed 550 inj, ex GTR fuel rail fed from both ends with a single return Slightly modified intake manifold 70 psi fuel pressure We were playing with it on the Dyno this arvo getting it sorted for next weekends Gatton sprints. Only pushing low boost for the moment at just under 10 psi. Trying to get low boost driveability for the tighter sections. 280ish rwhp @ around 4000 rpm at said boost. Tomorrow should be fun tuning at higher boost and revs.
  6. Last time I checked this is a site that deals with nissans, and most ppl I know stay pretty loyal to the brand they drive. As for why post on a site when we have tried pretty much everything we can think of? Well, sometimes there is someone out there that has found something that is abit out there, you dont just think of these things sometimes. Turns out that we were on the right track from the start, there was a wire that was damaged for the Airflow meter. It showed up when tacking resisance readings from plug to pin. Problem solved.
  7. Wed is practice day at Morgan park, $55 1/2 day and about $70 full day.
  8. I also have an RX2 Nc historic racer, will it be eligable for the street class?
  9. If it comes to Sunny QLD can I suggest it is held somewhere other than Queensland Raceway, such a bad track for a well balance car. It's a power bore-a-drome in my opinion. Options of other tracks are limited I know, Morgan park would have adequate facilities, I don't know of any others with pit and gararge facilities most top end competitiors would want.
  10. MMMM open class it is.......... ffffffffaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrr out. Got competition.
  11. This looks so inviting. Would love to have a crack at it, but I'd need to get to know the track.
  12. Had a look at the YouTube stuff lastnight, was an interesting watch....I just wish my japanese was better.
  13. If I can't get to the track day on the 25th does that mean I cant enter for the 5th?
  14. not as a Marq sports unfortunately but 2A is not a problem. I have a lot of fun hasseling GT3's at my local track, Morgan Park. I'm Hoping to use this car as a test bed for engine and powerplant to build a Sportsedan R33 in a couple of yaers.
  15. I have offen seen this thread and thought I'll have a look later... Later is 1 of those things that can take a while to get around to. Anyhow Im gald to see somany others are having a crack on track with thier Skylines of all vintages. This is my little R33 gtst that Im slowly getting up to speed to have a go at the 2A sportscar class, over 3L. It is logbooked but we are still early in developing it. Last year we took to a few street sprints where it won its class fairly easily in a street registed class, 4-5L regoed vehicles. At a little track in Stanthorpe we got a surprise when it came in 3rd outright behind a formula libra and a turbo westfield on slicks. there was a lot of very worthy vehicles there including Don Vidlers insane 1300 mini sportsedan/hilclimb special. A link to some laps that day at carnell racway http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=FQW0OcoaEq4
  16. how do I put an entry in?
  17. We have an S13 SR20 in the shop that is runing as if a cooler pipe is off, very very rich pops and farts etc. Obviously every thing is plumbed up and we have tried 3 AFM from working cars. TPS has been swaped, all vacume hoses checked, everything we can think of. ECU shows no faults and we swaped ECU's with no change. This has got us pretty stumped. Any one got any Idea's?
  18. I got down to the Grafton round last year, I might try to get to some after july.....
  19. BAAAARRRR HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Now then...... thats not very nice boys. Can't we be more creative in our technique to convince her curcit racing benifets the Whole comunity. I'm sure someone could do that in a, niceish way???
  20. No racing for you then. Dam I hope we can get my car sorted for tomorrow though, "B" sprints are still on in Warwick.
  21. I grew up near Lakeside, and learnt to attack a track there. We moved up to Warwick so we could live and work 10 min from a track that could offer a lap close to Lakeside. I will be down at the drop of a hat for a superlap or what ever, so happy to hear it is getting close again.
  22. Fantastic!!! It has been years since I have been out there. To think I had almost given up hope of ever getting back on that track. Excellent news.
  23. I got mine through Tyre tech in brisbane, 235/45/17 about 350 each mid last year in the sr compound. Gets my R33 gtst round the clubman track at qr in cosistant 60sec lap times with 320rwhp. They do need a good lap to get up to temp though, so not that great for a street sprint like Gatton or Marybourough.
  24. John, a "B Sprint" is a 4 round super sprint series at Morgan Park. There is an "A" & "B" series, which differ only by dates. I choose a blast at the eungulating(spelling?) Morgan Park over a QR power fest any day. And reliability is a must in any series, big power can often lead to less reliable cars. Good point .
  25. Bummmer....... it's a B sprint round John. You know I would be there otherwise.
