  1. You would be missing duty cycle being higher, i.e most are happy to run at 90+% Also fuel pressure regs could be used to increase pressure... Just some thoughts...
  2. Sounds like a cut wire 110 to me - as when you swapped them the problem was still there... Are you getting any signal at the wire?
  3. GTRs come standard with an oil cooler...
  4. I have just completed the rb25 conversion into the r32 - well worth it. Car has more everything and the swap was pretty simple. From a part point of view the rb25 has it but from an engine point the 1jz Maybe speak to afew people who have completed the 1j conversion and see what upsides/downside they have exprienced? It cant all be good
  5. Hey mate - may I ask why you removed them? What was the setup of the car that they were running on?
  6. Installed my Yelloow Jackets on Friday. Great product, perfect fit and no difference to splitfires that i used to have. Cant be beaten for $390 delivered IMO especially with 12 month warranty Cheers
  7. Unsure on 26's if they have an exteral ignitor or not - check that. Also what boost are you running and what was the gap on the old plugs? Post the part number of the new plugs too - could be the wrong heat range/type as its NGK not NPK......
  8. Maybe you have an RB30 and you dont know it I have used all RB20 stuff and mine sits fine just cant fit a strut brace over it...
  9. Yep - what Nismoid said - it also want offered as an option on the S13's. With the VP the v8 was an option hence no need to engineer
  10. I'd be leaning away from the intake pipe sucking shut as boost is pretty good - you would see quite a drop if it was closing... Id be leaning towards the tune and the cams
  11. 60k just for parts perhaps.... If you get a shop to do all the work with no sponsors - I would say closer to the 150k+ mark especially if your going from bone stock to balls out Also you need to factor in breakages when attempting a 9 sec pass never a cheap process. DirtGararge - Where are you? Should be able to provide some insight...
  12. Sounds like could be coils... i'd be leaning more towards o2 sensors or AFM's Given it only happens after a while of driving im leaning towards o2's... have you checked those?
  13. Mattw 83 - when did you get yours installed? I have heard this has been rectified?
  14. Dont get Iridium or Platnum unless you want to spend heaps of $$$ and waste it... Just get BCPR6Es - they are gapped to 0.8mm and are about $3 each - they'll do the job fine Also have a search..
  15. Im failing to make the link between detonation going through piping..................
  16. Sounds like the 33 highflow is the one for you, Given you say thr GTR-S is outta the range - all the others aint goint to be much cheaper. Also for ease of fitment and power goal, 33 will be fine.
  17. Start buy asking the guy you bought it from - depends on how much of a mate he is... If you don't belive him then pulling the head off is 1 way to check. As for the car still working without the restrictors, yes it will, but depends on how much track stuff you'd be doing - if its just the occasional spirited drive the car should cope fine, it simply comes down to how much time you spend in the higher revs as thats when the oil battles to get back to the bottom end... my 2 cents, im sure there will be several opinions...
  18. Dont use heat range 5 if your making 330 rwkw, that plug will run far too hot. You want at least heat range 6 or maybe 7 depending on how you drive. Also have you upgraded your coils? or are you using the factory ones? What do the plugs look like i.e. black, white, oily etc Cheers
  19. I think candy33 nailed it, He owns both and summed up the M3 as a boulivard/cruiser... thats all it is really. dont get me wrong I think the E46 is awesome - it will just leave you with blue balls if you know what I mean after having all the years of GTR ownership! Go the 34 GTR and you'll never look back - best piece of car I've ever driven. we must be into the dollars now so thats my $4.25c
  20. Hi All, Wondering if anyone has any expericence with these guys. Particularly this part: Looking to use one for my 25 conversion... http://dowsettdesigns.com/dodsonmotorsport...owsett.tpl.html I did search but came up with nothing. Thanks for the help
  21. GTT For sure, Who cares what the Ford is capable of! ITS A FORD - Built like crap I have a mate who works for Ford - it never ceases to amaze the stuff that goes wrong. Also how could you live with the fitout? I mean it looks like they've let a child run rampant with material and plastic! Horrible things they are. end rant
  22. Not sure about 33's but there should be a hole on the drivers side (facing engine) at the back left - you need to feed the hose through there.
  23. ^^ What he said Unless you are using the car for track dedicated racing you wont notice any difference on the street. Either way its going to be a whole lot better then the stocker
  24. Hey all, I have posted in the drivetrain & transmission section with no luck hoping someone can help out. Looking for assistance to put an rb25 gearbox into an r32 - via a driveshaft shop that has already done the conversion... not just talked about it. See the link: Click here! Thanks for your help!
  25. Anyone? Lots of people have surely done this not in their backyard?
