  1. I call "turbo-off". Ethan and Adrian, (and RBFIRE with 197kw for that matter) should be recquired to have their turbo's removed and dismantled to check if they are indeed stock. The only other way would be to just inspect the exterior and make sure that it is the original housing. If you do this, I will gladly put up my turbo, which was high flowed by GCG, for inspection. For interest sake, I made 205+ kw and was on the board for quite a while before I noticed that it had been scrubbed and left blank, only to be replaced by Doods' 185kw, and then pipped by Adrian's phenominal 190kw. El Bee ps When I say me, I am talking on behalf of my Wife (Humbla), who was interested in giving the car a run.
  2. Adrian (2rismo) ran away with it, with 190rwkw. Very nice prize eh ? El Bee ps I would like Adrian to define "old pricks" from a previous post. I don't think that it is nice to be ageist in this forum, as I have not seen an age limit on membership.
  3. Our 1993 R33 had about 65,000 when we bought it 3 years ago. Didn't believe it then, and still don't. (Odometer started and stopped intermittently on the way home, and got it fixed as well as belts under warranty). We have since put an extra 100,000 kms on in 3 years. It is in very good nick as I believe that it was, and is, looked after very well. Don't believe the hype! El Bee
  4. Cannot comment on this one as I wasn't there but... Previous posts have said that it is all good re Skyline vs V8's etc. This may be the case in the pits but I can say for sure it wasn't the case in the stands last year when Paul was racing the bucket thing. I was wearing my SAU T-shirt and heard a lot of "'king cheating Skylines, those things are shit, you got smoked, Jap crap" etc etc from the lovely fans behind me. I find it difficult to believe that the fans have changed so much in 12 months. El Bee ps. If you believe that it is not a "bogunfest" you are having yourself on. Have a look at your Powercruise T-shirt and tell me how many imports are on this year's one.
  5. I agree. You just gotta be prepared to lose a little skin from your forearms etc.
  6. Ignore this if it works but, I have noticed in the past that I was not able to string capital letters together in a thread title. I realise this is probably to filter out the shouters but I reckon they could politely be told to turn the capslock off. It is easier to read an abbreviation when all in caps in my opinion. eg FMIC NSW SAU WOT (not Wot?) El Bee
  7. It's good to hear of more Skyline owners finally getting some peace from the dreaded click click. @Atreyu, I did the same thing. Had a good look at it, then went nah and threw it in the bin. Enjoy! El Bee
  8. Hey guys, With this Software you can interrogate a PFC that is already tuned yes ? Would be interested in doing this at some stage. Can someone give me a clue where to find it, to try before I buy ? El Bee
  9. The man in black is right, all this pics to blah blah is a pain in the arse. Also "where are you located" should be up front. If you are thinking of buying a $20 part, you don't want to find out that it is in Canada or something. On the otherhand, if asking price is $2,000 I would certainly want to see some good pics of it. El Bee
  10. I've used the bent screwdrivers and also a little $2 ratchet thing that had Philips Heads bits. (gotta be small though) Putting the replacement back in is harder than getting the old one out. I've found that you have to get the window into the totally up position to re-install. El Bee
  11. Seems fine. I am still looking for a "hover" feature when you are in "view new posts". El Bee
  12. Obviously depends on your driving habits, ie Amount of boost, highway vs city etc etc. Am getting 12l / 100 km mildly modded, but this is with mostly highway and provincial town type driving. El Bee
  13. I bought them from Dick Smiths. They are called "grain of wheat or rice" from memory. Have a close look at the holders and you will see that they are just that. They hold these small bulbs in place and make contact. You will be able to see that the bulb wires are just wrapped around the holder. Just unwrap the old and wrap the new and snip off the excess. Enjoy! El Bee
  14. Ahhh yes, I just re-read and was making the assumption you were using the aircon to cool the air. I still think the act of moving this very humid air quickly by the fan has cooled it enough to reach it's dew point. Enjoy! El Bee
  15. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...topic=95065&hl= Hopefully the above will act as a link. If not see attached and search. Enjoy! El Bee untitled.bmp
  16. I see that occasionally and saw it this morning. If it doesn't smell like smoke it isn't. It is like steam (more fog really). When air that is very humid (full of water vapour) is cooled it can reach it's "dew point" that allows water droplets to form like clouds. El Bee
  17. I am interested in this statement and also agree with Trust33 re momentum. I am not sure that I agree with the premise that higher gear necessarily means higher load, although I agree that it is hard to create boost in neutral. Bogging down in First Gear is death to a good launch with load at Maximum. Will watch this space. El Bee
  18. Sounds logical to me. This is what I have. Have had no dramas with it during Summer, and it is not possible to have any dramas unless, the fan cannot flow enough air or, the thermo plays up. I am sure the flow is fine, and I trust the thermo as much as I trust any other thermo switch in my cooling system. El Bee
  19. I have had this about a year ago and fixed it by replacing the indicator stalk. (I know what you mean about it driving you craaazzzzy) When I inspected the old one it had blackened areas where you could see tracking and arcing (it looks like a pretty complex switching arrangement). El Bee
  20. Top shots of a top day. It really does take an hour to go through all the shots. Well done to the official Skyline photographer! Enjoy! El Bee, Humbla & Bonnie (the neurotic canine)
  21. Hey guys n gals, Great day. Well done to the organisers. Thanks to the kind soul who gave up the sunscreen to the "little woman" at the destination, it is a pity she didn't use it on her face that is just getting redder by the minute. :wavey: Was well worth the trip from Nowra to Homebush to see that carpark full of beautiful cars (mostly Nissans) and to cruise with you all. Looking forward to the next meet-up. El Bee & Humbla (Genelle, or Pink Lady)
  22. Yeah that is a quick grab of when my Son was testing an in-car camera mount with my Wife at the wheel. She normally spools it up a helluva lot more than that. Must have got camera shy. We only started really hearing that sound after GCG "fixed" our blown turbo. El Bee
  23. Just noticed this post by Ben. Looks like another reason to be cool on the drive thru the park. Looking forward to a nice day out. El Bee
