  1. Well let me know what ya find so I can do the same Mine eventually gets fine (1000ish rpm) but the moment I hit limiter it goes nuts again
  2. Im thinking taking it off the road and doing an RB30 . But then the problem will still be there
  3. Today I blocked off were the aac and air reg go onto the plenum and there hoses (exactly the same way an aftermarket plenum is setup) and it still did its crazy idle.
  4. Its the latest model.
  5. Another reason for needing to be able to adjust boost on the fly is night time. With out changing settings on my profec B I find boost jumps up roughly 2psi in the cool of the night.
  6. Nah trust me i pulled it off and the spring was attached. it looked exactly the same as that. What i meant was the flap moves freely with the spring. although my spring looks smaller than that one.
  7. I was just talking to paulr33 and he sugested putting a stock ecu and afm in. So il give that ago 2morrow aswell.
  8. It seems to move pretty freely. What actually makes the flap open?
  9. Yep and gave it a clean with CRC. I just took a look on a 33 workshop manual and it says that the opening should be 3/4 open but mines 3/4 closed. edit: ok thanks il give it a try like you said in the moring. I dont think the neighbours are to happy with me at the moment Thanks again.
  10. Just cleaned the air reg and it didnt make a difference. I also tried bypassing it (same way my old setup was with out all the idle junk) and it still revs to the moon. It just revs up and down between 1000-2000rpm. Paul I think i do it right? Let it idle for 10mins, then switch on a/c for 10mins then the rear dimister? I wish I had a holden....
  11. Thanks heaps Il give it a go know
  12. That wouldnt be the air regulator would it? Mounted underneath on a rb25? Or something different again?
  13. You mean tps? Ive checked the voltages through the power fc and its all spot on but il look into it some more. My TPS wiring maybe the problem cause I had to rewire it after a plenum change. hmmm Thanks
  14. Is it near the AAC valve? When I do the search do I put in "cold idle valve thingo"??
  15. The only tune its got so far is from myself The problem has only started recently (2 weeks). Ive got a feeling its a wiring problem somewere cause the cars full of dodgy wiring.
  16. I meant the timing through settings/ ing/inj. Not changing it on the ignition map. Ive tried initializing it aswell with no luck. One thing I have noticed though is if I drive it gently it slowly gets better (2 hours of driving) But as soon as I hit the rev limiter it plays up again.
  17. Yeah i should of mentioned that i cleaned that. The car seems to idle better when i take timing out with the power fc controller. So maybe dodgy CAS?
  18. My car either idles at 2000rpm or it goes up and down between 1000-2000rpm very quickly. Any ideas what the problem maybe? Ive done the obvious things like change plugs/ swap coils with a mate/ adjusted tps etc but ive still got a problem Thanks in advance.
  19. A 3540 isnt as laggy as ya might think.
  20. I just went for a drive in a mates 33. It has a GT30 with a .63 rear Hi mounted. It was making 12psi @ about 4000-4100 rpm in 2nd gear. It hasnt had a proper tune yet either. Just thought id mention this
  21. Il be damed if im parking up my skyline to ride a donkey!!!!!
  22. V8s have top end?? Do a run on the dyno with no cat. I had a similar problem were I wasnt making power and it turned out to be the cat. My best mod was removing it
  23. Go for a drive to bundaberg or harvey bay and get it tuned.
  24. They are awesome I use to own a set.
  25. Anything wrong with it?
