RB20 being an option from factory would mean no custom parts or fabrication required, just have to collect the right bits. Probably would be the easiest option I reckon for a motor swap. How common are SR20s vs RBs in Turkey?
-
RB20DET also came in the Cefiro and will sound a lot better than any SR20. Can go up to RB25/RB20 if you want it to go faster than SR20

RB20 in need of modest love injection

Do the R32s run high or low impedance injectors? -

Hoping to do similar mods to my RB20 once I get it running and reliable again -
I love my R32 interior but then I also love the generic 90's nissan vibe from R33s/S14s/Pulsars etc 100%

If you squint hard enough those horrendous barracuda wheels look a bit like r33 GTR ones!

Exhaust silencers/varex exhausts

Is that USD $50k? 🤑 -
hfygrte52 what side you looking for? Do you care what color car it's off? Found a white LH side on here: https://skylinespares.com.au/product/nissan-skyline-r33-coupe-rear-tail-light/ Aussie parts place but will ship to USA. Maybe get it before there's a tarrif on 25yo shit box parts

Ask me a bit later this week before payday

Oh man what a deal.... Funny enough (well not really) I sold a car to some old dude (buying for his Daughter) on a Saturday, He asked if she could take the car now and pay me the money on Monday as the bank wasn't open. Needless to say I told them to come back with the cash or get f**ked! Luckily the money seemed to magically appear in his pocket a few minutes later, so it all ended well (for me).

I did say no low balling (Insert copy and paste article from Motor mag with complete history of R32 GTR development and racing history here)
-
I might end up in that category if I can't get mine started soon.... I know wati got! no low ballers, also no test drives (due to no starting). Ran when I parked it 5 years ago. Period correct mods include some shit wheels I bought for 400 bucks 15 years ago. Only been crashes 3 times

No-one in Aus/NZ would pay that much, because they remember when a turbo Skyline/Silvia was a cheap but awesome alternative to the mediocre shit sold here locally at the time. I'm sure over in USA there are enough trust fund kids who will have their R34 GTR, whatever the cost

Excellent...maybe even instead of RB rebuild start with 6L LS and add boost for good measure!
-
This sounds do-able except space is a little tight were it's currently sitting. How many metres you reckon it would need to go?
-
Reckon it'll be OK after 5 years? Running RB20s aren't $1k/free to good home like they used to be! Some might say a blown RB20 is a good time to move onto RB25 though...

So my R32 GTST has been sitting around at my old mum and dad's place for a few years now...and it's time to bring it home. Main issue I have is that she hasn't been started in about 5 years or so, so I'm not too keen on just kicking it over and hoping that RB20 reputation for being un-killlable extends to long periods of neglect. My plan is to get it running there so I can move it around, then get it towed back to my place where I can start working on it properly. The old folks driveway is a bad place to start a project like that. I'm getting old too and also haven't stuffed around with cars since forever, so kinda learning this stuff again. So far I've siphoned out all the shitty old fuel and topped up the coolant (thought it was fully dry but took 2 litres to fill the radiator). Planning on hitting the rusty rotors with some brake cleaner in case the tow truck driver gets a bit gung ho loading it up. As far as oil, it's got plenty although it's now dark in colour and obviously needs a change sooner rather than later. Was doing some YouTube research and was planning to hand-crank the motor from the harmonic balancer with a 37mm socket and breaker bar, removing the spark plugs and spraying some "fogging oil" in the holes but there's not much room to get in there with the radiator fan right up against it. Jacking the car up takes too long and I can't leave it half done between visits. So now I'm was thinking of cranking a few times it using the starter (removing plugs and spraying oil first). Reckon there's any chance it will do more damage that way if something's stuck inside the motor? Should I really change all fluids completely before I go any further? Grateful for any other advice you guys have to get her going safely too.

Oh man, at least it sounds they've accepted they stuffed up and not put it back on you...could see some confusion if they asked if it had a hardtop or not, and you've answered truthfully but maybe not answering their real question which is what roof did it have from the factory! Glad your keeping it N/A 2.5
-
You would need to paint your hardtop again though
-
Ah yes, forgot how much harder my car went on a cold Canberra morning vs hot summer arvo

Can you covert an R32's AC from r12 to r134 if the compressor/hoses etc are still all good? Pretty sure on my car the AC was degassed when it was imported to remove the naughty r12 and save the ozone layer, and the fancy climate control system just blew air around. Was happy to drive the car with windows down back then, but now I am old and need to be kept cool
-
Is the toolbox that damaged the boot seal the same item that fell on the car during the storm a while back?
-
I know which one I'd prefer to have in my garage, and which one I'd actually drive as intended
-
Good to see your rotors appear as rusty as mine 🤪

Ok got some old tyres for you guys...my car has been sitting around un-driven for about 6 years now. I had it on the original rims with the shitty compliance tyres it got it with back in 2006, which were manufactured in 2004... Sidewalls eventually rotted and split open, obviously no air in them and the rims were holding the car up. Just swapped them with some 17" Work rims and tyres which are probably 10+ years old too but at least holding air
