  1. there are f**king idiots any where you go these days - stupidity is everywhere tell them to f**k off, but unfortunately the normal thing is the imminent punch up, or you yourself be kicked out of the venue for telling the dickheads where to go. i'm over going out these days because of this sort of shit, but it's still good fun to get out for a drinking convention with good company and see an international dj or band/ special event etc. just gotta try to not run into these dickheads and ruin your night
  2. far out! she died young hey Damo... anyone know the details? accident? OD?
  3. that'll be a big show, the HQ regulars will love it Wolfgang Gartner is a bloody good producer, used to produce funky deep house under his real name 'Joey Youngman' and many other aliases - White Collar Criminals, Frequent Fliers, etc - i've got a few of his vinyls he admits he took the electro house turn for fame/touring/and finance that come with it - but good on him, he's such a good producer, if there's anyone that could just drop one genre and start another, it's him. one of my fave Wolfgang G trax; called 'Circles' , from the Shapes EP on OM Records - there used to be a Youtube clip of it up, but i couldn't find it to share just for demo, heres a tune he made under one of his many other Aliases - Mario Fabriani - The Groove Bug very funky, real loungey, classy small underground club type stuff hard to believe he's producing the glitchy electro stuff now
  4. lol, def filthy, but that sounds like proper shit!!! hahaha no offence meant, iv e been on the piss since early arvo - xmas sessions in progress
  5. she's going to the sparky tomorrow morning - getting the starter taken care of
  6. spotted a nice silver 33 GTR, black rims on gorge rd newton around 7:30pm and around 8:30, was sitting in the office out back, heard a screaming 26 somewhere around the suburb - sounded fantastic
  7. im working through these next few weeks - hardly anyone here in my office! Cricket on the big screen in the training room, hardly any management staff on, pubs within reach; overall low work morale! But i do have plenty of things that need doing i've booked from the 6th jan - 4th feb - exactly 4 weeks off. can't bloody wait!
  8. lol, Happy birthday Mitch! party hard mate
  9. ey Mitch, i tried sending u an sms last weekend - must not have gone through! pm sent anyway mate cheers
  10. ^ i like it
  11. lol, thats it! it all comes down to $$$$ at the end of the day. Producing underground sounds compared to commercial market sounds - you definitely know which producers are going to have the bigger bankrolls
  12. thats quite common Krish, Look at Paul Van Dyk and Sander Kleinenberg - both produce some absolute cheese, but when they play - their sets are nothing close to what they produce for the radio. Sander for example plays great underground deep prog house sets - his set @ the last Future was fkn mint! blew me away Although, I'd stay well away from a David Guetta live set - no excuse really, i've just never liked his stuff full stop. If you're sick of commercial crap, you should be checkin' out the big underground name acts - Derrick Carter, M.A.N.D.Y, DJ T, Sasha, John Digweed - www.johndigweed.com <-- has a weekly recording of his radio show "transitions" - and if you can, see if you can download any of his Transitions mix CD's - all excellent imo; Richie Hawtin, Mark Farina, Metro Area, Dave Seaman, Sven Vath, Nick Warren, 20:20 soundsystem, Booka Shade... theres HEEEEEEAPS! And you gotta remember, with underground stuff - it needs to be played LOUD, and on a big sound rig - the shitter the sound system, the less interest to your ears!
  13. speak of the devil, spotted RIP-911 on Newton Rd this arvo around 6pm and, 10 mins ago just followed a black s1.5 r33 with bronze LMGT4 rims in the Newton shopping centre, looked exactly like Steve/TALBO's car. Had one of those large jasma rear mufflers, was very quiet
  14. hahaha +1 for Rise even though it was shithole, i miss seeing the crazy shit that used to go on in there at 6am Sunday mornings
  15. going by the individual behind the concept of this whole applebar joint, this will be one very classy club. I'll put dollars down to say this joint will be extremely difficult to get into if you're below 25, look wasted, aren't dressed to impress, or don't know the club owners. And again, going by the individual behind it - deep/soulful/disco/tech/prog/underground house. No trashbag electro shit you hear around EC, HQ etc. I can't wait to check it out

  17. im not too certain about the sound levelling stuff as i've never really done it - but there's gotta be something between all these wav editing apps for a quick process the samples in the Escobar tune are gold, made me laugh! very well done though, you should throw it in one of your sets when you play out for a laugh
  18. hahaha, i know the deal mate! At that time of the morning all it can take is you or one of your mates stepping or tripping on cables, slightly loose connections somewhere, and it bollocks the whole signal definitely check your wiring etc; wire one of the mixer masters channel sets into your onboard sound input, record 10 seconds in SonySF - see how it goes; no good - check connections, record another 10 secs, etc. slowly eliminate any possible causes. Are you using an RCA to 3.5 cable to wire into your onboard sound? on board sound is actually half decent, especially these days on the latest boards. You should still get a good clear recording. naturally, compare it against a recording off a card like that ASUS Xonar, you'll notice a big difference
  19. looks fantastic Craig
  20. ah i see. somethings definitely not right there. When i've had those problems in the past its usually been physical stuff like wires not plugged in properly to hardware does your new system's mboard not have on-board sound?
  21. hey Craig, you're running a new system aren't ya? what do you mean by white noise mate? like static? or ridiculous amounts of treble? @ other Craig - if that "international diamond" etc is the name of the track it would be pretty easy to find, unless its some unreleased locally produced tune that Fresh like to thrash. What genre is it?>
  22. no good mate - what do you suspect is wrong with it?
  23. very nice guitaring Steve, love the video too. Nice shiny guitars, some of them 'talbo's' look great! must've been a good night Craig... told ya you'll be fine!!! edit - you must have taken advantage of the free bar in turn for your set! top stuff, lol this F3tch dude seems to be making some real quality tracks, bet he was stoked you threw a few of his tunes in your set. Does he play out as well as produce trax?
  24. spotted a dark 33 - looked like a GTR, had sun in the eyes - plates SLY 033, on Newton rd this morning. I know an ex forum member used to have these plates, but his was a silver GTST then a little further up the road on Darley spotted a nice resprayed 33 GTST in a maroon metallic, 400R rear bar and drift lip. looked very tidy
  25. agreed, he's quite the average producer too! sensation will be awesome mate... it'd have to be up there compared with the big festivals overseas i gotta do it one of these next few years... This year's will probably be one of the biggest too - very big hype from last year
