  3. Just make sure if you do knock it out you put a straight pipe through the cat or it will more than likely lose you power. I agree with some of the comments and disagree with others, if your making less that 220rwkw's i do believe its pointless and not worth the gains. I have now put a 3" pipe through my cat and to me the Pro's were: a good 10-15kw power gain and boost definitely comes on earlier with less back pressure. The cons are my rear bumper is always black and it definitely made my car louder and dronier!
  4. can't speak for the others but i know sky30's isn't rebuilt (roughly 300,000kms i think its up to now), if u want somethng to last but not break the bank personally i would rebuild your rb30 to standard spec, just a bit more reassurance in my mind.
  5. hopefully shaun can tune it out as i can't really lengthen my pipe if i wanna keep the standard airbox. The afm is missing mesh on one side (was like this when i bought it)

  9. it does need a tune, i've been meaning to get one for a while but i don't want to get one until i get my cams and valve springs installed. Also to the guys who are bagging the idea of not having one on there just try it and then tell me if you don't notice the difference, also as i mentioned earlier they do not prolong turbo life as proved by garrett.
  10. but don't u have the .50 front cover? If so you only need 3"! Also one madrel bend won't work, you need two mandrel bends due to the angles if keeping the standard airbox! (not as easy as it all seems hey!)

  13. when i do my valve springs, hopefully not too much longer, just got to get andrew to post down his tools he has to change valve springs!
  14. i just grabbed x1 3" mandrel bend and x1 2" mandrel bend from AAA, wish i could've done mine so it was split, but i didn't have enough room! Have you got your dump flange? I had mine cut at Lazerworks in nth plympton, cost me some beer cause i know them but i may be able to help u out!
  15. i had rb26 cams reground to this spec: (For my r32 rb25de head) not installed yet so i cant give any results.
  16. the car was tuned when i had a bov, i like the extra throttle repsonse i get from having no bov so i'm getting a tune soon and hopefully that will fix it, garret also proved that bov's do very little to prolong the life of a turbo.

  21. sorry guys, was in a rush when i posted this. mods are as follows: rb30det in an R32 (stock rebuild with r32 rb25de head, 5000kms old) power fc adj. cam gears set to zero NO BOV z32 afm straight thru 3" exhaust with 1 muffler xr6 iwg turbo 1000km old o2 sensor GTR fuel pump GTR injectors Also car is making 228rwkws @ 15psi (think this is a little low for the mods i have but anyway) Hope this helps things, cheers!
