  1. Also have a direct bolt on replacement Monza blow off valve (purple in colour) $20 1 Ryco 1 Valvoline oil filter $10 for both and a battery box $10 Pick up only would be the easiest 0403279000
  2. It's all good, I am self taught and it would have been good to have the basics right from the start to save the time on trial and error, but hey, I'm slowly getting there but still have a very long way to go!
  3. I should start charging for all these little tips and tricks
  4. As long as you have similar turbo port, you could "match port" them all depending on the two exhaust housing patterns you are trying to match. Don't worry Joel, progress continues, I'll reply to your text in a minute
  5. Considering the inside size of the flange was similar and honestly the customer actually didn't give a sh1t since it is for a junker, he wasn't fussed. There was absolutely no warping, not when you weld it I like I do
  6. Where abouts do you live? Are you willing to post to Wollongong, NSW? I have done a few staino manifolds repairs over the past month or so.
  7. I will be making one for the 32's as soon as I get mine back. 26 plenum is coming along, a little slower than expected but I will definitely have one installed in a car within a month and that's when the first pics will come out
  8. you "could" I am going down to Canberra either this coming week or next week to check out another job so I might aswell come past and have a look at it and see how much i can do with some "templates" maybe enought to get it driving. If you like, pm me your number and I will give you a call when I am heading down
  9. Dam.....what does it need to get running? Can I help out with it if it comes here? Junkey (has a quite giggle) - you mean the end tanks for radiators and intercoolers? If so, no. Just measure them, draw it on the sheet and cut away
  10. have you got a car to tow it with? Trailer hire is pretty cheap these days
  11. I have a CA18DET 1200 ute being towed up here from Canberra this coming week, you can bring your car up after that if you like and then an R31 (don't worry Joel, I thought I would squeeze it on before your car tunrs up
  12. Finally a bit of an update....have been flat out getting back on track after the purchase of a new welder. Only the surge tank and turbo flange have been done with the new welder. Apart from plenums for 4G63, RB20, RB20 (in matt black ) , RB30, SR20, G200 I thought I would post up some pics of the kind of work there seems to be a bit of a demand for. The plenums aren't slowing down, I just put the word out there that I can do this kind of work and people seem to catch on. Turbo Suzuki Swift GTI - weld exhaust manifold, weld fuel lines, build radiator end tanks and mounts as well as modified radiator support to mount it & intercooler piping Intercooler for VL Turbo - it's one massive mofo Welding of new new t3 flange to chinese exhaust manifold Twin 044 fuel pump undercar surge tank for VL circuit car - coming soon for R32's :thumb: To keep this thread going, I will have pics of the plenum work I have done recently over the weekend since they are being finalised for delivery. Happy Welding, Ariel
  13. no worries at all. Everything has been put back because it was confirmed this morning that my welder parts went to Mexico.....yes MEXICO!!!!!!! Anyway, it might tie in nicely because I have a car coming down shortly that you may have some work from which you can take a look at while I teach you how to weld LOL....just messing with ya!
  14. I have actually just finished welding up an exhaust manifold for the Swift GTI Turbo. I am also modifying the front radiator support panel to fit a custom radiator I am currently making for the same car, which means plenty of mild steel welding. It is not something I have done much of up until the last few months but seems to be coming out OK in my books. As for the rb26 manifold, I am just as keen to see it finished. Ariel
  15. No pics at the moment. They are to improve the gas flow to the puddle reducing arc wondering and when you throw in a helium mix it improves it further. Just google tig gas lens and there should be plenty of info. I don't change gas flow according to amps at all. It stays in the one spot once I have found the one I like. As for the actual gas flow, practice makes perfect and everyone is different and so is every welder
  16. It's a killer so far. I have purchased the optional pulse and sequence panels and they better arrive shortly!!!! I have already added a flexible-head wp-20 torch and just added a gas lens and some other bits. Just getting to know it's different welding output compared to the precision tig 225 that I recently sold. I was just trying different gas flow rates and how it affects the appearance of the bead and arc stability. It's leaves the 225 for dead when it comes to arc stability and tungsten life. I can use upwards of 250amps with a 2.4mm tungsten, nothing I have seen before. My first complete test will be a Swift GTI Turbo custom made radiator I am putting together at the moment..........pics will be up hopefully this week and I can't wait to put it through it's first full test
  17. Seems like my brother will be helping me out. Yeah hopefully the rb26's ones will cause a stir The welder really sh1t me and has put me back but hey, it was out of my control and I just have to work my a55 to get things back on track. Zebra - yeah I have done both 1JZ and 2JZ ones. My last 1JZ one I think I have posted pics of in here
  18. Next Sunday will be perfect if you want to come past. I am planning to weld 4 plenums on that day. Just have to finishing prepping another two tomorrow to get them ready.
  19. Yeah that's it. The guy who owned it actually bought one of my old welders. I was onto it the minute it was posted up. It was a good buy and I have more control panels on the way as I type this.
  20. Yeah that's it. The guy who owned it actually bought one
  21. they are nothing like all the others you have seen on here....I honestly can't wait to see the finished product myself
  22. I am under the pump at the moment!!! At the moment, rb20, rb25, 4G63, G200 (LPG), sr20 and 2x rb26 complete intake manifolds made from scratch Also in the works is a Swift GTI turbo with intercooler piping, plenum, radiator, surge tank, power steering reservoir and possible airbox enclosure and wiper bottle. After that is an r31 rb26/30 skyline looking for catch can, bleeder tank, power steering reservoir, pod enclosure, enclosed fuel pump/surge tanks, interccoler piping and most probably my most custom rb26 intake manifold. The new series rb26 intake manifolds will certainly throw a spanner in the works for the rb26 world of intake manifolds....trust me, it will certainly be making an appearance on here I have been put back over the past couple of weeks, hence the no photos. I ended up selling my old welder and finding a new one, that one didnt do as it advertised so I had to find another one. Luckily for me, eBay come to the rescue with a killer find on a 310amp Miller machine which was only 2 years old. I am just waiting on some additional options for it to come from the US and then I will be back into it flat out. Anyone up for some weekend work? Definitely subscribe......there will be plenty of pics coming ever werekend for the next few months!!!!!! Happy welding, Ariel
  23. bumpity bump....it's taking up precious room in the kitchen and I promised my Mrs it would only be there for a week, not happy Jan LOL Sorry I should have added that the cam gears have been sold and delivered
  24. Done deal. Send me a pm to confirm and I will send you my bank details Ariel
