yeah 31 i was thinking maybe try and find good parking cause it would be more organised that way.. but from past experiences going there i think we might just all find free spots then meet on a lawned area somewhere mark

Hey all, I'm now posting the set times/dates for the GOR SAU cruise Please advise in this thread if you will be coming ... so we can get an idea on numbers etc Please advise also if your from geelong and if you will be meeting us at the Bunnings on the way through geelong. --------- details ----------------> Date: Sunday 10th August 2003 Meet time: 9:30am (melb) Meet Place: shell/subway, on the exit ramp of Point Cook Rd (MEL:53, B3. The exit after Newland St) Departure time: 10:00am (melb) Destination: Apollo Bay (via GOR) MAP : --------- details ----------------> Basically we'll be leaving melb at 10am and head towards geelong, meet any geelong SAU members at the Bunnings on the way into Geelong at approx 10:45 - 11am, this will also give ppl a chance to catch up and let us regroup. We will then leave Geelong at 11:20am ish (once everyone has caught up) and cruise through geelong towards the GOR and onto Apollo Bay. Once at Apollo Bay we'll group up and get some Fish n Chips YUMM hang around for however long wee feel like then head back as a group or at your own leisure Ill have a stack of directions/exact street names, and where we will park at Apollo bay to hand out on the morning of the curise.. i'll make them up 2nite probably Hope the regs and newbies can make it (me being a first time cruiser also lol hehe) mark

it will be sunday the 10th of August. crusing to apollo bay.. we will be meeting approx 10-11am before departing... i'm going to start doing the exact details soon and create a new thread... ive got a general idea on when ppl want the cruised and what times etc.. u know we can't please any1.. just doing my best mark.

mmm yes good point... that damn traffic on the way back can be a killer... well how about we meet at Al's destination at approx 8:30am leave there by 9:30am once every1 is there.. we'll be in geelong by 10:30am that way ??

i think al's choice of meeting place is a good one... i think we have to determine a date now as we all know we can't satisfy every1...... i guess the 9th would be better as u then have a day after to recover or wateva... and we wouldn't be meeting till about 10:30 -11am so u gota abit of time to get ova that sat morning hang ova lol

yup for sure ok can ppl reply with what date would be better for them... we are basically going to be cruising down the GOR to apollo bay for a bbq... so i guess this is a little run down on how it could go : - meet at 10am somwhere central to every1 in melb - leave melb at 11am for the GOR - arrive in apollo bay around 1ish ??? not sure how long it takes - bbq at apollo bay.. spend a few hours or whateva there - head back to melb around 3-4ish - back in melb around 5-6ish hows that sound? we just need to know if the 9th or 10th of Aug is better... please put down your preference. mark
