  1. hi guys just wondering on wat colour you guys think i should paint my rocker covers....i like to paint them black.....but not sure if i should get gloss or matt black
  2. go buy a Kaaz 2 way mate youll love it....standard r32 diffs are viscous
  3. man if you dont want a new pump you have to pull the back part of the current pump off, then remove the circle looking thing that spins around this will stop the second half of the pump pumping fluid, when i did mine i just bought a new r31 pump cos it was a fair bit lighter...lol the only thing that was differant i had to use a smaller belt as the grooves on the r31 pump was only 3 groove whereas the r32 pump was 4 groove.....my setup works great and saved me 20.5kg of weight that i ripped out cos i ripped everything that looked, smelt or felt like hicas.
  4. i replaced my pump with an r31 pump (needs spacer to push out from block) needs a differant belt, ripped out everything lines valves rear rack, hicas ecu, and put in a R33 resoviour and a lock bar, and it works sweet no probs anywhere.
  5. is there any performance gain from doing this...will it help with detonation at all?
  6. bought it from ebay....a guy named jappartsspecialists.com if you go to his website and email him about one he can get em hey, only took him 2 weeks to find mine, cost me $1000 without a hand controller, but then bought a secondhand controller of a guy on nissansilvia.com for $160
  7. according to hpi mag (i think) the gtr manifold makes a bit more power low down and mid range but the standard rb20 one makes a fair bit more top end than the rb26 one, so i would say its not worth it.
  8. hey guys just wondering if the little valve thing that is on the plenum that has a pipe going to the inlet rocker cover (breather pipe) if i take this little valve out and just bung up the hole and do sumthin with the hose will this effect anything like idle and things....im getting my 32 tuned (power fc) in 2 weeks will they have a problem tuning it with this bunged up.
  9. hey guys, i get my 32 tuned in 2 weeks, so ill post up the dyno sheets when its done, hoping for 300rwhp with the following mods, high flowed turbo hks intercooler 3.5 inch apexi exhaust gtr injectors bosch 040 pump tomei poncams power fc with boost kit blitz intake running 18psi
  10. i was wondering wat is involved with the wiring harness, as i was thinking of doing this soon, i run an ap engineering power fc on my rb20det, will this work on the rb25det, and can you use the same loom.
  11. apparently they are no differant there was an atricle about this in a HPI mag, with a bluebird wagon they did an auto - manual swap and they said they kept the auto computer, so i dont think it matters
  12. what arrangement is the rb20 head, is it bucket and shim, are the buckets ontop of the valves?
  13. hey i was just wondering when i go to put my new cams in, will i have to redo the clearances.?
  14. hey mate my 32 came with a HKS intercooler with piping kit, and it seems to work well, its a tube and fin design, im happy with it anyways!
  15. does anybody know how to wire one of these kits into an r32 rb20det, i need some help kinda confused, heard sumthing about runing new wires but am unsure what for?
  16. how long would you say it would take a dyno guy to tune my 32 with new poncams and power fc and gtr injectors? 2 or 3 hrs you think?
  17. so when i put my gtr injectors in and my ap engineering power fc in i can simply just change the duty cylce on them to equal what the standard ones do now so that i can drive it to the tuner?
  18. thats sweet as cubes thanx for that
  19. hey guys does anybody know what injector lag time you enter in a power fc for the use of gtr injectors in a rb20det cheers' luke
  20. sweet as.. thanks mate
  21. hey does anybody know how much boost the stock rb20 wastegate actuator can hold before shestarts to open? will it be able to hold 18 - 19psi boost easily cheers luke
  22. i think i understand it now....with injectors the computer sends a signal to them for example at 2000rpm it will send 3 volts, and at 7000rpm (full throttle) it sends 12v. by having more resistance (14ohms) the volts that are going to the injector will be significantly less, say 5 volts at full throttle instead of the required 12v, this is because more resistance you have it will lower the volts, but not having enough resistance it will fry the ecu. So therefor you would have to find a medium, say instead of making the total resistance 7.5ohms make it 10ohms, so that the injectors can still receive an adequate amount of volts and then its just a matter of the tuner to change the volt range at differant throttle points... SteveL do you have any rb20det injectors if so what resistance do you get with those
  23. i dont understand how this works, if each resistor is reading 5.5ohms in your resistor pack then the total resistance of the gtr circuit would be 7.5 ohms....does the rb20 have a resistor pack at all for the injectors? so its means if u stick gtr injectors with the injector pack you will still only get a reading of 7.5ohms whereas the rb20 injector resistance is 14ohms...i must be missing sumthing
  24. ok just went and measured the resistance using a top of the line mega, the GTR injectors measured out to be 1.88ohms and the standard RB20det injectors measured to be 14ohms exactly, so i will use 12 ohm resistors to correct the resistance. Hope this helps anyone
  25. sweet as cheers mate
