sounds like a similar problem to mine. at about ~7% throttle (looking at the avcr), i get this high pitch whistling sound which really shits me not sure what it is

not sure. i didnt ask coz i actually went there to get the car boosted and they noticed the big misses so they fixed it up for me.

mine had the same problems. so i took it to the dyno (unigroup engineeering), and they fixed it with a simple dyno tune

not rx8. rx7 series 8 looks the the same as a series 6 from memory AND YES GET ONE i would have gone for an rx7 series6+ if i could afford one
